I love the touchscreen and I also love that I can turn it sideways and use it as an tablet. It’s small enough to fit in my carryon bag or my purse.

This computer has been great! i like how it is fast and it only has one wire makes it look clean on my desk.I like that the camera can be pushed down so no surprises on a video/zoom call. Overall it has been great!I just wish it came with MS office as a deal!

I love this laptop. I purchased it for school. I was able to get a price adjustment for the item so I really got lucky. Either way would most definitely recommend this laptop. It also folds into a tablet. Very pretty and sleek

Nice/ Upgradeable RAM Storage

Definitely happy with my purchase after they fixed my order issue. Bought this one and stuck a 8GB stick of ram for 28 dollars and now I’ve got 16 RAM on this computer. Upgrading my SSD to 512gb for just under 100 dollars. Bought this used in excellent condition and for my purpose, this was definitely a steal. I recommend doing this to your laptop also as you will save money and enhance the performance of your computer. The computer does good for itself on these specs alone but who doesn’t want more RAM and storage.

I purchased 4 of these models for myself and my 3 boys, and they have been the best laptop choice I’ve made in years. In fact, I have helped 7 other people purchase the same model and there hasn’t been a single complaint or problem from anyone.

Great open box deal, saved me over $150! If you’re sceptical about buying open box items like I was, have no fear buying them with Best Buy. This literally was like buying a brand new product (open box excellent)

WOULDN'T Pay More Than $500.00 If I Had To Buy This Exact Model Again. For $750.00 It Should At Least Have A Numerical Keypad Independent From The Function Keys Like On This ASUS ROG Gaming Computer Included in The Attached Photo. Now on The Otherhand, This ASUS GAMING Laptop Is Worth Every Penny BEST BUY CHARGES..

Computer functions are very convenient for what I needed. Dissatisfied with fact it was broken when I received it. Also frustrated that there is not a protective cover option for it as it clearly needs one as it was broken when I opened it while packed in box????!!!! Materials are cheap, not sure it’s worth the money.

A Very Solid 2 in 1 with Some Things to Consider

I was going to review this computer when it only had a few reviews and 2 of them were very negative. I am glad to see that since then there are mostly positive reviews as my experience having this computer for over a month is overall very positive. It is not perfect, but I am very happy with my purchase. Below are some pros and cons that I have noticed using the computer. I have an all in one computer as my main computer, but it is also our family "TV". When I couldn't get on that computer, I was using a 2 in 1 touchscreen Acer Chromebook. While I really did like the Chromebook and can see how it can work for many, my needs changed and it was just not meeting those needs anymore. Hence the need for a laptop that had some of the functions I liked of the Chromebook, but something that worked like the all in one.
Pros-
Keyboard/Trackpad- The keyboard is very nice and is back-lit. There are 2 different levels of brightness for it. The keys feel solid and I personally enjoy typing on it. The trackpad is very solid too. Everyone may have a different opinion on this keyboard or any keyboard for that matter, but I don't think you could really complain about this one.
Speakers- You never know what you are going to get with speakers on a laptop. While I am sure there are better sounding ones, this one performs very well. The sound comes in clear and it can get pretty loud. Definitely something I wanted to be good, but wasn't going to let be a deal breaker. I am very happy with the sound quality.
Feels Premium with solid build quality- In this price range build quality can be iffy. I think this computer looks sleek and feels solid. I don't think you will be disappointed.
Fast- I was also looking at a laptop 16GB of memory and an i7 processor, but the processor was an 8th gen one. I knew I did not want any computer that had any less than 8GB of memory and I was hoping with this being a 10th generation processor, it would perform solid. So far I have been very happy with the performance. It starts up quick, it has not lagged, web pages load fast, multitasking has not been an issue. No complaints here.
Cons-
Fingerprint reader is inconsistent- It is a cool and I do use it, but I do not love it. Maybe I will get used to it more over time, but I wish it read my finger more consistently.
Screen is good, not great- Yes it is HD and yes it is not bad by any means, but it does nothing special to stand out. It is an average HD display. I did not go into my search really looking for a great screen since I knew it would be better than what I was using, but I was hoping for more. Again not a deal breaker, but not a wow factor either.
Battery life is good, not great- So this is where using the Chromebook had me spoiled. The battery life on a Chromebook is AMAZING!!!! It rivals a tablets battery life. Switching back to a laptop and at least with this computer, the battery life is average. Doing regular work I can get about 5-7 hours. It charges fast though to a full charge in about an hour to an hour and a half.
Fan- Another thing I was spoiled with using a Chromebook and tablet is no noise from the computer. You will hear the fan for this computer. It is not terrible, it is not super loud, but it is there.
It is a little heavy, but not terrible- If you want to constantly use your 2-1 in tablet mode, I don't think I could recommend this laptop because of the weight. It is a fine line of just enough weight to be too heavy and in my opinion this laptop crosses that line. As a regular laptop it is not bad, but for a 2 in 1 it is a little too heavy.
Tablet mode is not worth it- So this in my opinion is the biggest disappointment of this 2 in 1 is the fact that it is not really a good 2 in 1. I am not sure if it is HPs fault or Windows or both, but I do not enjoy using this in tablet mode at all. On the Chromebook I had a power button to turn the screen off to conserve battery if I was just listening to something. Also on the Chromebook were volume buttons on the side. I never realized how important this was! Not having these two things makes using it in tablet mode almost pointless because you can not adjust the sound easily on Windows. Also since the battery life is not as good, leaving the screen on is just draining the battery faster. I still have an iPad that I can use that does those things much better. What I also failed to realize is having a full keyboard means I don't normally want to not have access to it. The only mode that has made sense to me is if I am watching a movie and put it in stand mode and have a mouse next to me so I can use that to easily change the volume. You may feel differently, but for me I will not be using the 2 in 1 features nearly as much as I thought I would or did with the Chromebook before.
You may look at my cons list and think I do not like this computer. That could not be further from the truth! I am very happy with the purchase and the computer meets almost all of my expectations. That being said it is not perfect and I think some of the cons I mentioned are trade offs for not going 1 tier higher in price point so it depends on your needs and your budget. While not my perfect computer, for what I wanted to spend and what it does I am very pleased.

Would you like a laptop that allows you to type and touch screen? Would you like a laptop that is light enough to carry-even though I choose not to carry it out. Would you like a laptop that is capable of running multiple programs for example Word, Excel, Netflix, Prime Video, etc. simultaneously? This is the laptop for you. I have had it for four years now. You might have to buy or renew your Microsoft Office suite after a year, but it is worth it. As long as you take care of it by staying off of creepy sites you will be good. I do not like to use it for Zoom however. Be careful with clicking on malware links. I think recently I may have landed on one.

Horrible I didn't know I couldn't download games to play when I am bored. I just thought the pricier the laptop the better it is. I guess its my fault for not doing much researched on it. I wanted one for school but at the same time I wanted to download my game run escape just to see how things are. Horrible laptop can't do much. Work like my iPad. Serve the net, google, youtube.

Worth it for 4 years

This laptop has almost got me through college, so I’ve had it for almost 4 years now. Sad to say, it finally gave up on me. There are so many things to love about this laptop. It is fast (I’ve had as many as 50 internet tabs open with multiple applications running, no problem), the graphics are amazing, the features are great. I love using the touchscreen, the backlit keyboard is useful, the 2 in 1 feature is nice although I didn’t use as much, and the overall look is great. However, it is not the most durable laptop. I was not extremely gentle with it; I took it everywhere on campus in my book bag which does not have the most protection. Very prone to nicks, scrapes, dents, and the plastic on the bottom breaks easily, so please buy a cover. The fan can get very loud. I didn’t like the touchpad so I bought a wireless mouse. The camera is not the best quality but it’s adequate. I have to get a new laptop now, but I will surely miss this one. Please get a protection plan as a precaution.
