This is a great mouse for a tight space. It took very little time to get used to it. It comes with a brand name battery ready to go, and the USB connector has its own storage spot in the battery compartment. I love that. When I swap laptops, I put it in there so I don't lose it. The design is ergonomic and comfortable. No more hand struggling to push stuff out of the way so my mouse can go one inch farther in a tight spot! My 8 yr old also uses it with no problems. The ball is removable for cleaning and that makes it easy to disinfect when a bunch of hands have touched it.

Great mouse especially for a limited desktop. Takes time to get use to using it but never go back. Since they first came loved them. Great for a multiple monitor user. Only reason i ever replaced is i am a grease monkey and the oils on my hands eventually gums up the ball. Ball comes and can be cleaned. Biggest reason i evey repla ed is because i loose the usb adapter. Its wireless.

I’ve been using this mouse for about five months now and I really like it. I’ve never used an ergonomic mouse before, but I started a new job about a year ago that had significantly more mouse movements than my previous office job, so I was constantly getting tendinitis despite ergonomic wrist wrests and desk setup.
There is a learning curve on this, I recommend slowing your mouse cursor speed down (you can find this in Settings in Windows) as it will make the ball much less sensitive.
I wish I hadn’t listened to the reviews saying the ball is difficult to remove/replace for cleaning, as this significantly reduces the functionality of the mouse when crud builds up in there. I was avoiding trying to remove the ball for a couple months because of this.
You can easily remove the ball by popping it out from a hole in the bottom of the mouse with a finger, wiping off or gently scraping whatever gunk built up in there (I also like to clean off the ball with an alcohol or Clorox wipe), and easily popping the rollerball back inside.
I don’t even turn the mouse off at the end of the day and still have not yet had to replace the batteries. All in all a great option with no issues, and my tendinitis is now nonexistent.

Love my Logitech Ergo Wireless Trackball Mouse!! It fits my hand nicely and helps with ergo issues. There's a button on the bottom that you can turn on/off to save the battery life. I've had this one before and that's why I bought it again...and if I need to I'll buy it again in the future.

Like this mouse a lot, but not 5 stars because of cheap construction. Have had multiples of this style, from corded to cordless, over the years and none last more than a couple of years. Wish they would actually bring back the version with a cord, prefer that to dealing with dead batteries.

If you have ever had carpal tunnel, this is the mouse for you! I had it so bad I had both wrist braces on full time. Changing to this + the Microsoft Natural keyboard was a lifesaver.
If you've never used a trackball, it will take several days to get used to, but once you do, you will never go back!
The last model of this I had for so long that it stopped work even after tearing it apart, cleaning & adjusting it.
This new model has a perfect fit to my hand and the 5 buttons (yes even the roller wheel can be clicked) can be mapped to do anything!

After going remote in 2020, my arm and wrist started hurting with a typical mouse. After weeks of pain, bought this and it disappeared. Only took a couple of hours to get used to how it works. On my second one, but worth the money spent!

We've had a couple and they tend to last several years at least even seeing heavy, daily use. Easy to set up, no frills with the functions you've expect from a decent mouse or tack-ball and it fits comfortably in the hand.
It's a reliable trackball that does what it says on the box.

I’ve had problems with carpal tunnel and my shoulder. Was told by my Chiropractor to get a trackball and reduce arm strain- this has worked amazingly well. I love how this and my Logitech mouse can both connect to the same USB dongle - my wife hates trackballs, so I keep my old mouse and she uses it with the computer when she needs to.
It’s really comfortable and full featured for the general user.

This product really helped take the strain off my wrist from using a traditional mouse. Not having to work the flexion and adduction youbnotmally would to navigate a traditional mouse is an added bonus. I should have made this switch years ago.

A track ball mouse that could use a tail

I'm not a newbie to the trackball mouse. Years ago I had a wired Logitech trackball but found, over time, the ball lost its smooth movement; the ball became sluggish and cleaning it didn't help, so I went back to the traditional mouse. Recently I decided to give the Logitech trackball another shot and scored the ERGO M575.
I've always liked the trackball setup, it's definitely easier on the wrist and hand. With a trackball, you don't need the desktop "real estate" needed with a conventional mouse. The "metalflake" looking blue ball has a nice, smooth feel to it and I find it very accurate and easy to use. I hope as time passes, the ball stays as easy moving as it does now. If you've not used a track ball before, it may take some getting used to, so give it some time before you pass judgement. A big component as to how comfortable ...or not ...this ERGO trackball is going to be has a lot to do with your hand ...and how it fits the M575. Strongly suggest you try it on for size at your local BestBuy store. For me, it fits fine and is a lot more comfortable than a traditional mouse. But my hands aren't that big; a size "medium" in work gloves if that helps.
The ERGO M575 offers both wireless and Bluetooth connections. I found the wireless connection to be a bit sketchy. I have a thin profile iMac Pro ...and all the USB ports are on the backside. The M575 had a very hard time maintaining a good wireless radio connection with the receiver plugged into the back of my iMac. The thin profile iMac is made of a lot of aluminum ...and probably blocks or reduces the signal strength to the USB receiver. The M575 would work sometimes and at other times get jumpy or unresponsive; it wasn't 100% reliable in its function. I decided to try the Bluetooth connection and that has worked well; I've been running it via Bluetooth for a week and it's working flawlessly. Some have commented on having a wired option and, given the potentially poor signal strength and reception of the wireless connection, having a wired option makes sense. Depending on the location of the desktop, the location of the USB port and how much metal is involved, will determine your success in using the wireless connection. IMHO, for desktop style computers without Bluetooth, it would be best to have a key board with a USB port to plug the M575's receiver into. I tried plugging the wireless USB receiver into a USB hub, to move it from behind the iMac, but that didn't work well either.
The functions of the buttons and scroller of the M575 trackball are identical to a regular mouse. You can get free downloads of Logitech software to help customize the M575 potentially offering a higher level of customization.
Overall I'm very happy with the ERGO M575 trackball mouse. Like every other Logitech device I've purchased, it is well made and exudes a level of high quality. The M575, for me, is definitely more comfortable than any traditional mouse I've used. It's weak point seems to be the wireless connection; the location of the USB receiver is critical in how well the M575 reliably connects and functions. Bluetooth works well in lieu of wireless if your computer has it. If you don't have a Bluetooth option then having a keyboard with a USB port would be best IMHO. Otherwise you'll have to take your chances on reliable reception. I dinged it a star for the iffy wireless connection and no option for a wired connection; this is one mouse that needs a tail.
