Got this a month ago and so far so good! It's not the best at avoiding objects but I've only had two times where it has actually caught on anything (1 was a cat string toy and one was a thin cable for a charger). It also sometimes get's it self stuck, it's happened 1-2 times where it shouldn't have. It has done a good job picking up cat hair on our living room carpet, I try and run it every day to keep it manageable. It doesn't pick up all the stray cat litter, but it keeps it more manageable. I do not regret the decision to pick this up, the house in general looks a lot cleaner and it saves me a lot of time in general. I still vacuum but makes that job a lot less daunting.

We have had it for a few weeks now and it's everything that we hoped it would be. We have a shark upright that we will use in other parts of the house, like upstairs, but this robot is being used on our main floor. It does a great job with pet hair!! I did a ton of research on robot vacuums, and this is a great buy for the value to features ratio. It's not as loud as I thought it would be as I have seen some people complain about the noise. The self empty is great!!! If you are looking to spend a little more than for the value ones but not 1G ON A VACUUM, this is it.

I really like the room mapping and he almost never gets stuck, unlike my Roomba who constantly thought he was falling off a cliff at the most minor change. The self-emptying feature is great! I’ve named him Bruce.

I am hoping this vacuum lasts longer than the Roomba i3+. I had two of those and they didn't last the warranty period. The Shark Ai Ultra does a good job in vacuuming although hasn't yet covered all the areas it mapped. Perhaps it will after it's vacuumed the house several times. Yesterday I had an issue with it removing pet hair. The roller got clogged and I was notified to fix it via the app. I like that no bags are needed as the Roomba i3+ I had previously. The i3's rollers also got clogged with pet hair/carpet. The major downside is that the Shark robot requires 3 hours to recharge. Which means that to clean my whole house, 9 to 12 hours of cleaning time are needed. Unfortunately you can only schedule the whole house to be cleaned. It has better mapping than the i3+ and sections of the house can be cleaned by the Shark. However, that can only be done manually via the app. Shark needs to modify the schedule to allow parts of the house be cleaned. Then it wouldn't need to be scheduled for so long a time.

I tried some of the less expensive models but resorted to this one. It's an excellent machine! It mapped my 2500 SQ ft home the very first time in one round. The less expensive models went many rounds and never completly mapped the house. This one flawlessly picks up pet hair along with other debris and alerts your phone app if it ever gets stuck, has a low battery, or other problems.

Overall very good. App could use some improvement for room designation and mapping. Mapping finds locations that don't exist and designating rooms have to be merged and redone if the guess for where a room boundary is off at all. Mopping function is completely useless, it would be far better for Eureka to remove this and lower the price. Vacuuming does work well, and base container is easy to remove and empty and does hold a lot. Roller does need to be cleaned often depending on flooring and environment.

I bought this to replace my 2-year-old Roomba. I didn't like that my Roomba was banging into my furniture, and it was loud. This robot vac will map your floors and empty itself. My robot vacuum will run about 90 minutes, 1300sf, tile, area rugs and runners, with the AI laser guidance it doesn't bang into the furniture and hasn't got stuck... yet! Most people will say I can vacuum my floors in less than 20 minutes. You probably could, but do you do it everyday? I actually run mine about 3 days a week with Sunday's off! Oh, I still have my roomba, I just moved it to my bedroom, bath and closet, run s about 30 minutes with no damage there!

Bought two of these to replace some old Roomba 800/900 series robots. Overall these are a significant improvement over my old robot vaccums. The navigation is pretty much flawless and it covers our home without any issues. The brush on this model does not have the problem that our roombas had with pet hair constantly tangling. I still recommend taking it apart once in a week and cleaning it or whenever you empty the bin. Which for us with 4 dogs and a cat is about once a week. This model looses a star with the debris brush which is woefully inadequate for cleaning corners of carpeted areas. In fact our brush literally came apart on the first pass and had to be super glued back together. All in all we highly recommend just keep in mind this is not a permanent replacement for a normal vacuum and you'll still have to vacuum, especially the edges of the house, once a week.

Does a great job mapping the home! It does a general mapping when it starts and then gets more details when it actually cleans it seems. I love Having this! I can set it to clean when I’m out at work so when I get Home it’s nice and clean. I forgot I had A mess of extension wires underneath the bed, and it was under the bed for awhile but eventually got out! I was Watching it to see if it got stuck but it kept powering through! Takes a lot to get it stuck! It’ll try and work it’s way out before stopping and sending an alert. It gets every nook and cranny when cleaning. It adapts to its surroundings and will move around accordingly. I love having this!

We love our Shark 2502AE Purchase. We did extensive research/reviews on other robot vacuums prior to making this purchase and it paid off. With two Golden Retrievers in the house and 3 girls, we weren't sure this Shark could swim with the big dogs; but with 2 months under our belt, we are more than pleased To be fair, nothing can replace our upright, but it sure comes close. Marriage has improved greatly too, guys!!!
What to expect: Setup was self explanatory and we were up and running very quickly. One of things that did surprise me was the need to clean the roller (in our case) almost daily. It's not a complicated process but a necessary one for us. And we may make it 2 days before needing to empty the base dust bin. If you have multiple pets and long hair girls, you're going to be basically be doing daily maintenance with regard to the roller, robot dust bin, base dustbin, base motor pre filter, etc. This shark is far more efficient in cleaning/performance when I do this. I just didn't realize it would require that much attention. Including some cleaning brushes would be a nice touch!
Don't over expect from the app! To me, this is about the only reason that prohibited me from making this a 5 star review. That said, I am writing my review about the equipment exclusively. I left my review for the app with the developer on the app store. I only mention it here for sake of being transparent. I am not at all happy with the app. It lacks much to be desired and I only gave it 1 star. While it gets the job done, not without a few curse words. It's quirky and quite frankly, sleepy and clumsy (my best description). Often times when I open the app, the Shark just takes off on its own without a command. Other times, it just has a mind of its own and starts by itself (no, schedule is not on). It's a little slow. Wheel is spinning after app is open and you cannot make a selection right away (new iPhone). I have to click on "rooms" click back to "home" and then back to "rooms" again to get it recognize my rooms. Most of the time, it does not remember my previous settings. I simply have to start all over. The biggest frustration is that a room cannot be added once it is cleaning. You have to dock it (and sometime the app does not recognize the "return to dock," so I actually have to go over to the robot and depress, "return to dock." This is a royal pain that a room cannot be added during cleaning. In addition, while yes, you can schedule 7 days a week - you cannot schedule more than 1 cleaning per day. Great White disappointment!! Come on man! One should easily be able to schedule multiple cleaning times in a day (morning/afternoon/evening). Charging is little slower than I would like also. If you need the shark multiple times in the day, better plan your day out carefully. "Normal" cleaning mode will help for sure, but MAX IS WHERE IT'S AT!
In the app, when you click on parts and accessories, it should take you right to your model #, instead you get a message that says, "Do you know your product's model #? LOL App should know what my model is without me having to look it up every time.
Bottom line: We LOVE the Shark. We HATE the app! We are taking the good with the bad, because it does perform and it does do an amazing job, given our pets (we have all wood floors).
We are happy with our purchase. I asked the customer service rep which of the robot vacuums was returned the MOST after a purchase....he said it was not the Shark..I think you know who that leaves? At any rate, the store certainly sees this side of "repairs/returns" more than me, so I appreciate the honest answer.
If you have multiple pets, take a close look at the reviews from these owners. That's what we did and we're glad we did! We did decide to buy the extended warranty, although a little pricey. My guess is, at some point we will need it. It's just a gut feeling. Best of luck in your search, I hope this helps!
PS. An additional warning should be added to the manual: "Could cause husband without OCD to become OCD about cleaning the floors." Shark fixed one problem and created another! LOL

The last vacuum robot we had was a Deebot and it did okay. This is a major upgrade from it. With having a dog that sheds (not badly thankfully) it annoying having to empty the old robot daily. Emptying it over a week is super convenient, you can tell it really cleans when it vacuumed and I like the options that comes with it. Worth every penny

Was excited to try this out as I have a cat and he sheds quite a bit. Went thru the procedure of mapping my home layout and the Shark took off on its run. 90 minutes later, it re-docked and I emptied the bin which lthough it had some dust and hair, there was not as nuch as I normally got. Thought this strancge as I had not vacuumed in a couple of days. So I broke out my faithful cordless and proceeded to quickly run it around a couple of rooms. When I finished and opened the bin, I was surprised to see how much hair I had picked up. That did it for me. Returned it later that week. I loved the convenience of not having to push my cordless around the whole house, but what's the sense? I looked at other Shark models, but there are so many that it's totally confusing. If there was a way to determine suction power between models, it would be helpful, but they all just say "powerful pickup"!
As I mentioned, the convenience is a plus, but I want the house CLEAN!
I may try another model, but as confusing as it is to figure out which model is best, I may just get another cordless. I bought this one thinking if it was one of the more expensive models it had to be good. Nope!

I've been a user of premium (read: $900-1.4k) robot vacuums since 2016. I used the iRobot 980, the S9+, Neato's D7 and D10. They all failed, but failed for understandable reasons (except the 1.4k S9+, where the charging and auto-empty base died 2 days out of warranty, and iRobot refused to replace it, instead telling me to buy a new $300 base). So I decided to go 'midrange' with this Shark. Whoever is pricing the $600 msrp, even the $450 I got mine at, is on some strong substances. The box claims '60 days without thinking about vacuuming', yet the instructions tell you to clean/wash/dry the base filter every 30 days. Last I checked, 30 is less than 60. The box also claims that it features a no-tangled brushroll, and nothing could be further from the truth. Not only does it get hair tangled in it *constantly*, but hair can also make its way to the end of the brushroll where it then enters the small gap between the brushroll frame and the brushroll motor, where it then gets heated to a point that, when the robot is done and is sitting on the base, the hairs cool into this glue-like substance that then, in short order, jams up the motor by the new friction. It's legitimately awful. But that's not all: for the app to work (and for the bot to register itself), it connects to its online servers, which use a domain that is literally for advertising purposes, and is blocked by common ad-blocking lists. The bots battery is meh for runtime, and the thing will always wait *three hours* before resuming, even if it only needs 5 minutes of juice to finish a run. The bot picks up a laughable amount of dirt and dust, even on the max-power double-pass 'matrix' mode. It doesn't remember settings like alert volume, the map regularly deletes entire rooms and no-go spaces, the navigation is so stubborn it will fight furniture for several minutes just to entrap itself in said furniture. The initial map is all it does, so you better have your floor completely open, it will never visit an area that it doesn't see after the first go. You can't name rooms with a custom name (apparently nobody as shark has kids - it's 'master bedroom' or 'guest bedroom', nothing else). The push notifications don't work, so you'll just walk into a room to find the bot sitting on your floor, waiting for assistance. Replacement parts (filters etc) are overpriced if you get them from shark. The scheduling system only lets you do a full run, up to daily - if you want it to do just a couple rooms on the weekday, you better get used to manually telling the bot. The shark account you are required to make has a password limit of (I believe) 20 characters, but will let you register with any number of characters, locking yourself out of your new account, and you can't reset your password because you need to confirm the account, and you can't do that because you need to login, and you can't login because your password is 'incorrect' even though it's not. I've had 4 models of robotic vacuums in 7 years, which isn't great for longevity, but this one lasted 10 days. Even at $200 - run away!

A great help to keep the house clean. I am very impressed with how much dog hair it picks up. I empty the bin a couple of times a week and am always satisfied with how much it picks up.
The features are not as nice as our iRobot, which I hope will be updated, but that unit started glitching out and wasn't performing anywhere close to what our Shark can do.
The lidar system impressed me during the mapping process. I think it mapped our entire main floor in less than an hour and created a near-perfect floor plan. Our iRobot took over 6 hours as it bumped its way around all the obstacles from room to room and added rooms every time we ran it.

Got this to replace a cheap robot vacuum that didn't have any mapping or a emptying chamber. This one does an amazing job at mapping and I rarely have to empty the dirt/dog hair from it. Such an upgrade if you have a dumb robot vacuum. We names ours Dobby the house elf, since it cleans up after us.
