Ninja Foodi 11-in-1 Dual Heat Air Fry Oven, Countertop Oven, Griddle, 1800-watts Model:FT301 Like the protagonist in an action movie, Ninja is no ordinary Air Fry oven because it's got its special skills. Ninja seemingly wasn’t satisfied with it’s comprehensive feature set loaded into our favorite model Ninja (SP101) so they added a few more to this FT301. For two years we’ve been using Ninja’s first version of this ridiculously useful combination Air Fryer and oven, It’s hard to believe Ninja could add to the features that countertop appliance had. But, Ninja really has this small appliance world mastered. Adding a SearPlate to a very slightly expanded oven also added to the list of capabilities for this newest model. Anything you can do with your large, energy-demanding, slower built-in oven you can do with this Ninja, only faster, and with less wasted energy. We’ve fallen in love with Ninja’s Air Fry Oven, twice. SET-UP: Where the previous model Ninja required a 18.5W x 14D x 8H space, this model is 20.21”W x 15.33D x 8.15H (before tilting upwards when not in use). That slight size increase allows for another set of controls to completely separate Air Fry features from toasting/baking/broiling/griddle features and making it even easier to intuitively manage cooking. PARTS AND CONSEQUENCES: The SearPlate is placed at the bottom of the oven where it contributed to searing PROTEINS to perfection while the top broiler elements finished the job. Our pizza got nicely, fully cooked with a crisped bottom crust and a bubbly top. Ninja has given store-bought frozen pizza and properly sized home made pizza an immense boost. Your crust will never be the same. I’ve provided a few pics of a Papa Murphy’s vegetarian pizza (medium) which we augmented with some ham pieces. This is a difficult pizza to get right because it is so wet from the veggies. Notice how the bottom crust, especially, got fully cooked. We stayed within Papa’s temperature range and we’ve rarely gotten so close to a proper finish. Nice. Ninja’s FT301 can accomplish everything it promises. Air Frying is its specialty, but standard toaster oven skills are equally excellent. The Air Fry Basket helps achieve the air fry finish you expect for your fried fish, chips, and breaded appetizers. Just don’t forget to spray lightly with some high temperature oil to avoid smoking. The Wire Rack is where you layout your toast, bagels or something you’re trying to reheat. We found that toasting is more even and consistent than than the excellent predecessor model. Perfect toasting every time. And lots of space to lay them out. Ninja provides a limited recipe cookbook that exploits their unique Ninja Air Fryer oven. It’s got great illustrations to show you how and when to use the rack, basket and plates. The set of controls are divided into two groups on the right-side panel. The left side of that control panel manage the DUAL Air Fry mode and the 500°F directly heated SearPlate. The right side of the control panel features the toasting and baking settings. The Ninja is able to tackle Rapid Bake, Frozen Pizza, Fresh Pizza, Griddle cooking, Air Roasting, Baking, Broiling, and toasting, including a perfect bagel. The TIMERs, TEMPERATURE CONTROL, cooking FUNCTIONS are all very easy to set or modify at any point in the cooking cycle. Our only complaint is that the extra functionality meant that Ninja has slightly reduced the lettering size. That said, we found it slightly easier to view our cooking foods in the brightly lit oven cavity. NOT COMPLAINING BUT CONSIDERATIONS: Our only hesitation has to do with some of the new capabilities. As for pizzas, there are size limits. 12”. If you love your ready-to-cook or supermarket “home made”, just remember that family size isn’t going to fit. We’ve become accomplished cook-top chefs with our steaks, chops, and sea food. We’re not sure we want to re-learn our skills or work around the demands of the Ninja. I like poking my steak to test for doneness and I insist on sliding my swordfish into my oven for finishing. I know it’s wasteful and probably readily accomplished by the Ninja, but maybe you see my point. Don’t change for the appliance and hope to improve on what you’ve already mastered. And remember the clean-up issues. This is a closed box with cavity access a bit more limited than the previous model (SP101) which had a removable bottom. SUMMARY: I know I’m repeating myself from my earlier Ninja Air Fry Oven, but there simply is no more versatile and flexible countertop appliance out there. It looks great on any counter because of its rich looking control and quality build … and it rotates up and out of the way to give me back some space. As much as I feel it fits into our modern, average-sized kitchen, it offers even more for folks in smaller apartments. It serves up a broad suite of cooking features as long as you can deliver 1800 watts to it. We love this newest addition to our kitchen. We’ll be experimenting, because Ninja makes it fun and rewarding.

For when you need to cook something small and it doesn't make sense to turn on the large oven. It's fast and convenient. This would make a great addition to anyone's kitchen. The tilt up option gets you some of your counter space back when it is not in use.

Initial impression: The packing of the FT300 Ninja Foodi 11-in-1 convection oven is that it is a very well-made oven. It comes with an air fry basket, Wire Rack, Sear Plate, removable crumb tray, user manual, and quick start guide including recipes. Setup: Setup of the oven is simple. Place the oven on the counter, wash the included trays, select which tray you are going to use, select the mode and cook. It really is that simple. Operating: Operating the oven is also very simple. There are 2 mode categories, dual heat, and air oven. The manual does a good job of explaining the modes and the quick start guide does a good job of showing how to use the various modes. When you are done, the oven cools off before shutting down. One of my favorite features is the storage. When not in use, the oven rotates up on its hind feet and stores the oven up against the wall. This provides a good amount of counter space without having to either give up the counter space or move the oven every time you want to use it. Cooking: For testing, we cooked a Thanksgiving style meal. Obviously, the ham went in the large oven. But while that was cooking, the Ninja was cooking the green bean casserole, the Yam casserole, the stuffing, and the rolls, all to easy perfection. Usually all of this must be done after the main course, but the Ninja did an amazing job at cooking in a fraction of the time required by big ovens. My other test was melting cheese on sandwiches. I am a huge sandwich fan, and most of my sandwiches end up in the oven broiler to melt the cheese and crisp the bread. Using a full sizer oven takes more time to heat up and is a big waste of energy just to melt cheese. The Ninja melted the cheese to a perfect level while crisping the bread perfectly every time. And it did this in less than 2 minutes on every sandwich, some quicker. Finally, I cooked a frozen pizza because pizza is my favorite food ever. I used the sear plate, and it took a little more than 6 minutes, much quicker than in the large oven. The preheat time is quicker, the cooking time is quicker, and the pizza came out perfect! Conclusion: This is my first Ninja kitchen appliance. I never realized just how awesome this oven is, or I would have had one a long time ago. It is not the answer to all your cooking needs, but it does just about everything your regular full-size oven does at a fraction of the time and a fraction of the energy. And if you are in a dorm, this oven will allow you to cook in ways you couldn’t without it. Everything I cooked in it came out perfect. And the ability to be cooking side items while the full-size oven is in use reduces the total cooking time for a large meal. I’ve never been this happy with a kitchen appliance, including my pressure cooker, but the Ninja Foodie 11-in-1 Dual Heat Air Fryer is my favorite kitchen item, and has allowed me to make better meals because of the speed and excellent cooking. I highly recommend this oven for your kitchen.

It’s a great concept but takes way to long to cook. I got this to condense the appliance on my counter. The toaster oven I have will toast a bagel in under a minute and the fryer will cook tater tots in 6 minutes. The foodi will toast bagels in 3 minutes and the tater tots in 15 minutes. I was bummed on how long this takes to cook items. The test size on both was the same amount. It spends more time propped up.

The Ninja air fryer cooks food more juicy than anything I have ever tried. The parts are well made and the exterior has a beautiful brushed aluminum finish that makes an attractive addition to your kitchen. The menu is user friendly and I had no problem using it from the get go. It's easy enough to clean. I couldn't be happier with it

The Ninja - Foodi 11-in-1 Increased Capacity, Dual Heat Air Fry Oven FT301 is an extension of the popular SP101 Air Fry Oven. Having used the SP101 for about 2 years now, I have realized these air fry ovens are basically a necessity for everyday life as they are so versatile and a huge step up from those convention ovens of the past. If you only have space on the counter for one large countertop kitchen appliance, I would argue this is the best use of that space. Plus, it flips and stores away! Dimensions: This oven has a fractionally larger footprint than the SP101 if you have experience with that model. This unit measures 19” wide, 16” deep, and 8” tall while setup for use. Flipped away it measures 19” wide, 15” tall, and 8” deep. (The loss of 1” comes from the fact the units stand has prongs that keep it about 1” away from the wall/backsplash while ready for use). All dimensions are within 1” of the SP101 model despite having increased capacity inside for cooking. Features: The 11 modes include: Air Fry, Air Roast, Bake, Broil, Toast, Bagel, Sear Crisp, Rapid Bake, Frozen Pizza, Fresh Pizza, and Griddle. One thing to note is the loss of Dehydrate and Keep Warm modes from the SP101. The menu system is fairly easy to navigate once you are used to how it operates. This oven comes with Air fry basket, nonstick SearPlate, wire rack, removable crumb tray, and 15+ recipe guide. Usage: If you have never used a digital air fryer oven such as these from Ninja it is hard to explain just how convenient and useful they can be. They can do just about anything as the feature list suggests and not just “ok” but VERY well and quickly! You can typically cut down cook time on some frozen foods due to just how quick these units preheat and air fry the food. Just watch the temperature you set as you can sometimes cook the outsides of things too quick. Pizza Rolls? From Freezer to Plate in about 8 minutes. Frozen Fish Filets? 12-14 minutes. Frozen French Fries and Chicken? 15-17 minutes. You get the idea. It’s quick! As for the new Dual Heat/SearPlate function, I tested with a Frozen Pizza. Ninja states the cook time can be reduced from 30-50% depending on the item being cooked with the same temperature as the instructions on the food item state. First you let the sear pan preheat (Takes about 5-10 minutes, bottom heating elements pulse on and off to do this) and after you put the food item on the pan and account for reduced cook time from the food instructions. This pizza was a medium crust pizza with a 15-17-minute cook time at 425 degrees. I assumed that it would be around 13 minutes of total cook time based on what Ninja claims. The result was close to perfect but not quite. Having learned what I did, I would have cooked an additional 1-2 minutes which puts it right at what the box says on the low end of the time. The bottom/edges of the crust were nice and crispy as well as the Peperoni on top. The pizza was perfect to eat but not overly hot which surprised me thus the additional 1-2 minutes I would prefer. I would need to test additional items to verify the claim of 30-50% reduced cook time but as of right now I would say aim for a 10-20% under the instructions of whatever you are cooking and adjust the final cook time with the knob while carefully watching the food item until you are comfortable with the sear plate function. One Concern: It’s worth noting that I have noticed some weird electronic type noises from my unit vs my other Ninja SP101. While using the unit I have had the interior light go dim, bright, dim, bright on certain cycles. I assume this is due to the power draw of the unit but this was not as issue on the SP101. I also see a weird power type of issue on the display screen when selecting the function. The cook time and temperature will flash while you are selecting them (Completely normal) but they will alternate dimming when the other is brighter. Really weird but again I assume this is due to some of the electronics inside. Nothing thus far has impacted the use of the unit but it just appears the electronics are somewhat cheaper than the SP101 or my unit is a weird outlier. Pros: - Look nice - Tons of functionality - Stands up (to store away nicely) - Preheats fast/cooks well Cons: - Weird electronic light flickers (Doesn’t appear to impact function) Overall: I would highly recommend the FT301 as a replacement for your toaster and convection oven/toaster oven. Not only does it feature an attractive design for your counter, its functionality and flexibility proves its worth of valuable countertop space. I cannot recommend this appliance enough for both the fanciest of kitchens, apartments, or kitchenettes.

Full review: I don’t quite know what to call this small cooking appliance from Ninja that quickly is changing how I think about cooking. Ninja calls is a Dual Heat Oven. It really does much more than that. When you first take it out of the box, it looks like a well insulated toaster. It certainly toasts bread and bagels evenly. It’s a little on the hot side, so if you like light toast, set it on 1 or 2. There’s a nice count down timer so you know exactly when your dish is done. My bagel toasted in just over 3 minutes from start to finish. On the oven side of things, there are 3 heater elements front to back. They heat the interior quickly so you can be assured of a consistent temperature for baking, roasting, and broiling within 5 minutes. Temperature can be set up to 450 degrees. A nice extra that Ninja thought of is that the countdown timer doesn’t start until the oven is preheated. This means you don’t have to guess how much of your count down time will be pre-heating when setting the timer for a meal or snack. Operation is very intuitive. First determine what you’re cooking, then decide if you’re using the tray (or sear plate as they call it) as part of the process. Finally, select which mode of the clearly labeled options. You can use the sear plate as a griddle. I made light, fluffy pancakes one morning. You can also use it like a cast iron skillet to cook with direct heat from the bottom while also baking from the sides and top. I made some chicken cutlets this way and they came out nice and crispy on the outside, almost like a BBQ grill. You just have to be sure to watch the food and it can overcook relatively quickly. Frozen pizza sits very nicely inside the tray and cooked completely in about 20% less time than the box called for (not including pre-heating time). While it was pre-heating, I was able to add the toppings and extra cheese that my family likes. The crust came out golden brown and the cheese was melted, but not runny. On the oven side of things, this can be used like an air fryer or a traditional toaster oven. The air fryer mode heated some left overs very nicely in ~3 minutes. Nearly as fast as a microwave, but much crispier for the french fries. It comes with a basket so all sides can get browned and crispy. I had similar success with frozen egg rolls. While it doesn’t have the same capacity as a counter top air fryer, it works just as fast and can easily manage for 1 or 2 people. When you’re done cooking and cleaning the trays, the unit will nicely flip up on its end to give you some additional counter space for space cramped kitchens. It’s well insulated which both saves energy as well as making it easy to handle during and after operation. While I wouldn’t call it “cool” to the touch, it was nice that I could close the door without using the handle and not worry about getting burned. This is a great appliance for anyone with a space constrained kitchen as this can combine an air fryer, toaster, griddle, and indoor grill. While it’s on the pricier side for a small appliance, it will give you the food freedom you never dreamed was possible in a city apartment sized kitchen. Even if you’re not space constrained, it’s versatility will have you quickly thinking about what you want to make next!

Ninja has a home run with this one!

Let me first say, I know someone who has this exact air fryer oven, and they have been enjoying it since it came out. I mention this first, because it has been running without fail for awhile now. And they use it for many things. My experience with this is short, so far, but fabulous. I was taken back by the very large size of this one, it's like the size of a medium to large pizza box maybe, and not really appearing as tall as it really is. Once you take the racks out and see the available space, you see a few things that you might not have realized were important. Previous experience with air fryers, and I've had a few now, has been okay, but one pet peeve I had was that when you use the basket for french fries as an example, you must stack them up tall but cannot spread them out. Even if you move them around during the cooking cycle, there is still an unevenness in the heating. With this one, everything is able to be spread out, and that has helped big time with this concern. This has a sear plate, which is also a griddle. That is a plus! And you can use the multitude of accessories that it comes with (rack, basket, sear plate) in different locations to do different things. The sear plate is heavy, but is built with a set of rails that prevent it from being wobbly if you move it out enough to turn things over. Yes, I know, I've had to remove the tray on other models, put it on a heat proof pad, then flip stuff, then put it back in again. The risk of spilling, dropping, etc. this has always been a worry to me, so this addresses this concern. And I'm truly grateful for this and some other things. Make no mistake, this unit gets HOT, as they all do, but even more so on the left side of the unit, and the glass. The fan is on the right side of the oven, so it is the coolest area of the unit. If it had another fan on the left side, it would cool faster, but that is a wish list thing. Ninja however, thought of something very important, and it has bothered me for quite some time, is that they realized these things get hot and the risk of burns is significant. To combat this, they display the word "HOT" prominently in the display, so there is no mistake that the unit was recently used, hasn't cooled off enough, and it is HOT. Bless you Ninja, this will save countless burns, I am sure! The fan will run and the word HOT will display until it is really cooled off. It says in the manual it'll say the world "FLIP" when it is ready to be flipped up, which is a great feature by the way, but I missed seeing that. The ability to flip this up and out of the way is a huge feature. This allows this larger footprint machine to sit out of the way until needed. I don't have a large kitchen, by today's larger home standards, so I value each bit of countertop real estate as extremely valuable. This works perfectly. An oven large enough to do a grocery store fresh, or frozen pizza, with the ability to be flipped up and out of the way until needed. Bravo! There is also cord management on the back of the unit. Two devices that hold the cord in place and keep it from getting too hot from the metal on the back of the unit. NOTE: Please, remove the cardboard from the back of the unit before using. Yes, it will be easy to miss and you don't want to leave that on there. I almost missed it when unpacking, in my male way of jumping right into using something and reading directions later. My wife saw it and prevented me from creating a problem for us. There is a nice light inside the oven, so you will be able to see what is going on in there. I will say, there is NOT a switch to halt cooking while the door is open, which is another wish list item. But this is a smaller thing, I know it is running, and can stop it at any time. The door has a lovely LARGE handle on the left side of the unit and the door does not feel flimsy. Thank you for this, I always worry with these that the door will just fly off the hinges and fall/break. Cooking is much like you would expect, but does have some oomph to it that you may not be used to. It is 1800 watts, so it can kick butt when you need it to or want it to. I found some things that I used to know how to cook in an air fryer, cooking faster and more evenly. There is a turbo bake option that will blow you away. Plus, the dual heater really does speed things up and makes things cook more evenly. When using the sear plate (which you may use more often than you realize), it will do a preheat. You must do the preheat for it to work the way it should. The display will show you the word preheat and a count up to the time when it is ready to start cooking. There are very intuitive buttons and a kind of smart dial to do what you want to do, along with a timer button to set the minutes, and a temp button to adjust the temperature, both the use of the dial after being pressed. Very easy and no need to read the manual to know how to use. I would recommend reading the manual, and the included cook book, to get an idea on where to place racks, which racks or basket to use, and how long and what settings to use. This is way more than a simple toaster oven, and can do many things. It is also a toaster, which can hold 6 halves of a bagel, or 3 bagels sliced and laid out as halves, whichever is easier to envision. So, I would say, for the money, and what is out there now, this is a really smart choice. The controls are off the side, not above the oven door, which is a dead end with other types of units. Once you open that door, the heat kills the display/controls - but not with this one. This was well thought out.

The Ninja Foodi Dual Heat Air Fry Oven is a great addition to our kitchen. With our household of four, this appliance has become a major workhorse in our kitchen. Everything we have put into this oven has cooked up nicely and much quicker than a conventional oven. Unpacking and set up was easy. We removed all the packing materials, hand washed the trays, and threaded the power cord through the handy cord-management, which is great for keeping the cord off the counter. The presets and controls for the Foodi are intuitive and easy. While we mostly use the presets, it is very easy to set specific cooking settings. The door has a convenient handle to the side which keeps it from getting too hot while cooking. So far, we have enjoyed pizza, tater tots, chicken strips, cinnamon rolls, toast, English muffins, grilled sandwiches, re-heated fries, re-heated breaded cod, and baked salmon. Features • Comes with a air fry basket, wire rack, Sear Plate, a removable crumb tray, user manual, and recipe book. • Cord management groves on the back for anchoring the power cord. • The Sear Plate is great for Pizza, baking, and as a griddle. • Dual heat mode can sear and crisp food at the same time. • Bright time and temperature display, including Fahrenheit & Celsius. • Dual Heat mode button for using the SearPlate. • Air Oven Mode button for air frying, baking, broiling, roasting, and toasting. • Circular Setting dial for rotating through the selections and pushing for starting and pausing. • Time/Slices button when used with the Setting dial for selecting # of slices or time for cooking. • Temp/Shade button when used with the Setting dial for selecting temperature or desired darkness for toasting. • Light button for the interiour light. • Power button • Cooking Modes Include: ○ Sear Crisp ○ Rapid Bake ○ Frozen Pizza ○ Fresh Pizza ○ Griddle ○ Air Fry ○ Air Roast ○ Bake ○ Broil ○ Toast ○ Bagel We are big fans of the Ninja line of products and the Ninja Foodi Dual Heat Air Fry Oven is a great enhancement to our kitchen.

This is an excellent countertop oven and air fryer for those with kitchens that are tight on space, but want to still have the convenience of having a toaster/countertop oven, air fryer and more! The option to flip it up on the hinged back feet to be out of the way is amazing for an apartment or condo kitchen where space is at a premium and any little extra prep space when not in use, without having to fully store elsewhere, is amazing! The interface is incredibly intuitive and easy to navigate, the temperature is spot on accurate, and the door opens smoothly with a nice handle on the side. The lower profile is nice, but this does mean larger items require moving the racks around. It is able to hand a lot of food at once, I did not attempt cooking a chicken yet, but it looks more than spacious to handle smaller birds and was able to handle a medium height chocolate cake! All around, I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a great multifunction countertop oven and air fryer that doesn't take up much space, this is the one!

I love the space saving ninja foodi flip. It is great in my camper and it was great when I lived in a small apartment. I love the range of functions which allow me to do many things with less appliances. Standard toast, air frying nugget, baking a dish for a pot luck, even cooking up some frozen pizza. The option to flip it up to create more counter space is a sanity saver. I really love this appliance.

My wife wanted to get a new toaster oven that had additional features, like air frying, so we picked this up and tried it out. There was nothing really wrong with our existing toaster oven, but the features, size, and results made us gladly replace our old one with this new Ninja one. First off, this thing is smaller than our older one, and with counter space being a premium, that was a nice feature. A unique aspect of the Ninja Foodi is the ability to fold it upright when not in use. This has the added benefit of returning back extra counter space, which my wife greatly appreciated. The Ninja Foodi toaster oven comes with a sear plate, air frying basket, and standard grill rack. This thing was a bit intimidating out of the box with all the new features and functionality compared to our older one - but once we read the instructions we were ready to cook! This thing is great at what it does - food like frozen pizza or meatballs that used to take 20-30 minutes in our old toaster oven cook in about 10 minutes in this Ninja one. We haven't tried the air fryer part just yet, so can't really comment on that. One thing that took us by surprise is that you need to use the sear plate to cook a pizza to ensure it cooks evenly. Again, the instructions helped because I never would've thought about that. As for toasting, a great feature is the ability to pick how toasted / dark you want your food to be. The outcomes are consistent, which is nice because you can essentially put items like waffles, toast, or bagels in there and you don't have to watch it to make sure they don't over / under cook. There were a few draw backs to this thing though, but none of them were deal breakers. First, there's so many different cooking methods that this thing can handle that, and I'm not joking, you need to read the instructions that come with it! Ninja did a great job on the instructions because they were easy to follow. The other odd item that we've learned to live with is the front cover's handle is on the left-hand side of the unit. Both my wife and I are right-handed, so not having a rail or handle in the center of the unit was a bit odd. I don't mind it terribly though, because I don't know if it could fold up under our cabinets if they did have a center handle. I love this thing, it makes cooking breakfast and dinner a snap!
