I did tons of research and finally purchased this Shark - Vertex Pro Cordless. This is as close as some expensive brand. I bought Shark Robo too. So, for the price of one expensive brand I was able to get this cordless vacuum and a Robo. So double cleaning. Highly recommended and this product serves better then what is it priced

I give 4 stars since there is no option to hang the vacuum, not as powerful suction as I thought. Battery only last about 45 minutes. Should come with at spare battery.

The middle part where it folds broke off after 6 months. Battery life is good, but really poor body design.

The stick style vacuum is good. However, the stick doesn't move under the bed or other low profile products very well.

Overall but a bad hand-held battery powered sweeper. Hinge makes it nice to get under some furniture. Not as good suction as the Dyson V7, but not bad.

The most important aspect of a vacuum to me, besides the ability to suck up debris is its weight.
With the Shark Cordless vertex, you get both.
Assembly of the vacuum took me roughly 20 seconds. It's that simple. You place the base down, place the wand on top of the base, and then the handheld vacuum on top of the wand.
For the review I charged the lithium ion battery to full charge. After 3 hours, the led lights stopped blinking, so it was go time. (One nice feature is that the vacuum won't power on if the charging plug is connected. I guess it's a safety feature?)
I chose deep clean mode to run this test. I figured it's stronger than eco mode, but not as battery depleting as boost mode. I also did this on hardwood floor setting.
The runtime of the battery on deep clean mode lasted roughly 44 minutes. (No I did no vacuum for 44 minutes straight, rather I left it running while I cleaned the rest of the house)
Versatility is the key to this vacuum's usefulness. The wand bends nearly 90 degrees. This allows you to get under the bed frame, sofas, etc. You can use the handheld vacuum by itself with an attachment, with the handheld vacuum and wand for reaching tough to clean areas, and the whole unit to clean floors as intended.
The vacuum itself is pretty strong. I did use it on boost for a few minutes, and it does get loud, but nothing earbuds can't block out.
The unit as a whole is fairly lightweight. It was easy to use in handheld/wand mode, and going up and down stairs wasn't laborious.
The money saving feature of this vacuum is that the important components can be cleaned with water. (No extra filters to purchase that make owning the vacuum more expensive than the initial investment)
The dust cup can be washed using water, likewise with the filters, and the brush.
When not using the vacuum, the wand bends forward, making it easier to store in shorter compartments.
All in all, there's nothing bad really to say about the Shark Vertex. I'm honestly surprised that this isn't a "smart" vac in some way. Considering how everything is becoming a smart device of some kind. I guess they could have paired it with an app that let's you know when charging was complete... but I guess that would push the laziness envelope to new heights.

Shark has been my go to vacuum for a while now. I had a Dyson but I can’t see the price you pay is worth the value of the product. You get more bang for your buck with a Shark.

First impressions of this new Vertex Pro vacuum are amazing. When they say it’s power is comparable to a full size vacuum, they mean it.
Assembly was super simple. Out of the box it comes ready to go with just a simply click or two. When fully assembled it has what they call “MultiFlex” technology, which basically means you can orient the vacuum into different positions for cleaning or storage. You can flex the vacuum in the middle to fold down into a super small footprint for storage, or you can flex it the opposite direction while cleaning to get underneath furniture and other hard to reach areas. It can feel awkward at times, but the overall weight of the vacuum is nice and light, so it never gets unwieldy to handle. I love the fold down storage option, rather than having to mount it to a wall. And the battery is removable so you can the flexibility to charge it up when and wherever you want.
It has a nice, super bright LED display on the handle that gives you information for battery level %, power mode and floor type. You can select hard floors or carpet, and switch between a Low (ECO) Med and High power mode. They claim the battery will last 60 mins on one charge, but that is for Low mode on hard floor only. Still, that is a great run time compared to other cordless vacuums in this same space, but when using higher power modes and when using it on carpet, you won’t get anywhere near 60 mins. But in our use, we’ve got at least 20-30 mins out of a charge. That can also vary depending on the mix of use and how often you on/off the power while cleaning, etc.
I can say, that on carpet and using high power mode – this thing does indeed rival a full size vacuum. We have other Shark DuoClean full size vacuums in the house, since we have dogs that shed pet hair with every step they take, and this Vertex Pro is up to the task of cleaning up that hair just as well as the big brother vacuums. You definitely don’t want to use this for cleaning large rooms of carpet, but for quick spot cleans or maybe small carpet rooms, this will easily deliver. The two front facing LED lights show you exactly what is in the path of the vacuum, and works great on hard wood floors so you don’t miss any spots of debris. And the power fins and self-cleaning brush roll are so far living up to their name, in that this thing will pick up everything, and nothing gets stuck or tangled on the rolls. Because of its light weight, it can be easy to flop the vacuum head around some, but it does pivot into any direction making passes super easy, and cleaning hard to reach areas and turning corners, etc. super easy. To empty the dust cup you just push one button to release from the handle, and another to release the bottom door into the trash, never having to touch any debris.
It also works great as a hand vac. With the three power modes, its great to remove the long handle and just use it for stairs, cleaning the car, blinds or furniture etc. It comes with a crevice tool, a pet tool, and this great dusting brush for softer or delicate surfaces, which I thought was great, I’ve never seen that before. Great for cleaning up a messy table or desk.
All in all, this little thing is a beast. Being able to effortlessly move between hard floor and carpet with a button push is wonderful, and might obviate other stick vacs we have in the house currently.

I was hoping to fall in love with this because i loved my other Shark vacuums. This is heavy! When on max the battery went from 100% down to 30% in less than 7 minutes and it takes awhile to charge. This vacuum gets clogged quickly and easily. Thankfully it is pretty easy to unclog but it is still a hassle.

Worst Vacuum I've Owned

For context, our house is all tile with a few area rugs.
This vacuum was great at first but now after a little more than a year, I regret buying this. I've never spent more than $80 on a vacuum so spending $400 I was hoping to be done going through them. This would be a 20 year thing.
After a little more than a year, the vacuum barely picks up anything. I've cleaned it, changed filters, and it can't even pick up a small piece of cereal half the time.
The stick part constantly gets clogged. And the "no hair" technology is a joke. I'm constantly cleaning the rollers.
The stick part actually broke at the hinge at the 13 month mark and shark wanted to charge me $30 for a replacement. When I said that was ridiculous for a $400 vacuum to already be falling apart they responded with, how about you give us $10 for the part?
I'm done with Shark and completely regret this purchase.
This thing is a lemon.

Amazing! I purchased a new vacuum due to how bulky my old one was, we had vacuumed in the morning with the old machine and the amount of dirt and pet fur this pulled out was amazing and disgusting, definitely recommend

Bought one of these and loved it so much that I bought a second one within a month. And then both of them quit working well within a few months. I bought this vacuum to whip out and vacuum with ease, but that's not the case with this vacuum. It's constantly getting clogged, to the point that you spend more time unclogging it than actually vacuuming. Complete waste of money in my opinion.
