Amazing technology! This is our 6th robot (James) vacuum and by far the best!
Pass vacuums would just bump around the room. With very short battery life (30 minutes)
With “James the 6th” using LiDAR it goes around drapery and hovering every wall. Huge difference! Battery life is great and I highly recommend the Best Buy insurance. These robots don’t last more than a year or two, with BB You can exchange for new one!

SAMSUNG AI TECH REALLY MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Setup and unboxing are straight forward.
The base is really clean line and sleek
1. Having a few of these robots over the years this one will get the most use.
2. Object recognition is next level. No more running into chair legs or cant get over small transitions
3. The mapping is really spot on after 2 full cleaning cycles. Even if you move items this thing will adjust. The mapping is even better than my other robots.
4. I use this on flooring not carpet due to My cat. It keeps my socks from tracking cat hair everywhere. That's a major pass in my eyes.
5. The lidar radar is really cool since it is currently being used on self driving vehicles. Very cool to see tech on consumer electronics.
The bad.
1. The brush head most definitely hates long hair. Will get wrapped around the brush head very easy. But that goes to show how well it cleans because I didn't know where this hair was.
2. Kinda loud when running. Has good suction power but much louder than my other robots.
3. I could not get the camera to work via the app. But It may have been my phone being the problem.
Overall very next level cleaning robot. Remember that its best to run thsi while your away and not home. With any robot vacuum they are slow and take 30mins to 1.5 hours to clean. My area it cleans is about 450sqft. It takes just about 40 mins to clean and maintain clean every 3 days.
I did not check how long it takes to charge but it will clean fully my area and still be about 60 percent state of charge.

Super Cleaning Machine!

This is one sophisticated robot. I currently have 2 other robot cleaners in my home, both of which are manufactured by major companies, so I think I have a lot to compare them to. Samsung has certainly upped the game when it comes to these gadgets.
The first thing that strikes me is how super-quiet this robot is. You can actually listen to music, have a conversation with someone or watch TV while this is cleaning the room that you are situated in. It is really that quiet. It was a pleasure to be able to speak on the phone and NOT have to stop the device from running in order to hear the other party! Wonderful, just plain wonderful!
This appliance navigates by use of a Lidar and a 3D sensor. It's some much more efficient than my other robots when it comes to obstacle avoidance. This robot rarely touches objects such as chairs, walls, etc., due to its sensors. Rather than coming in contact with items, the sensors stop the robot from ever touching things. I have a sunken living room, which has a 5-inch step, and my robot stops just before the drop-off and re-navigates the obstacle.
One really neat feature of this product is that upon docking, it empties the collected debris automatically. Absolutely handsfree. You may ask exactly where does the dirt and debris go? Once your robot makes its way back to its home base, you simply tell it to empty the debris. The debris is transferred into the Clean Station which is built into the base of the product. You don't have to get your hands dirty emptying the robot after a cleaning cycle. The Clean Station holds a fairly large amount of debris. Sweet!
This device is a WI-FI controlled also. It took me several attempts to set up the app properly and register this appliance. The app works well and was not at all buggy.
When my robot was finished with its cleaning routine, I went to several rooms and hand felt my tiles. All rooms were clean to the touch and I was pretty happy with the results. My home is approximately 1800 square feet of tile. The robot was capable of cleaning each room, and had enough charge to complete the entire home on a single charge.
Underneath the cover of the base station is a scannable QR code that leads you to an online video for emptying and reinstalling the internal debris bag. I found it a little odd that the video narration happens to be in Korean (not English), however the video is self-explanatory.
Absent from the Samsung robot is the "whiskers" that other robots possess. The Samsung unit has a brush which does a fantastic job and quite honestly I see no need for whiskers. Cleaning results are pretty admirable.
My only negative about this product was the process to empty and clean the debris bag. It's easy enough to access the bag, but it is cumbersome to empty it. The bag has a intake hole and you have to shake the dust out and use your fingers to pull the rest of the contents from the inside. I would have thought that the engineer's and or designers would have made a bag that is more easily emptied. Perhaps a plastic canister which would be a breeze to empty? Messy.
So far I am very happy with the navigation, cleaning results, and battery life of this product. It is super quiet, has a very efficient cleaning routine which obviously saves battery and extends running times. Samsung definitely has a winner on its hands.

Incredibly Smart Vacuum!

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
My first robot vacuum was an older Roomba that didn’t have the many features of Samsung’s Jet Bot AI robot vacuum and it is incredible seeing how much technology has improved since then. The Jet Bot does it all. From mapping out your home, adding no-go zones, and a self-emptying waste bin. The Jet Bot AI makes vacuuming effortless and efficient.
The Jet Bot is something else. First, Samsung did an incredible job at making setup straightforward. People who aren’t too tech-savvy should have no problem setting this vacuum up. After the quick setup, I needed to download the Samsung SmartThings app. This app is needed to control every feature the Jet Bot has to offer. Before doing anything else, I decided to charge up the vacuum which took a couple of hours. Once the Jet Bot was charged, the Jet Bot was ready to go.
I first started by mapping out my home The Jet Bot can also detect objects like furniture and avoid them. My older Roomba played “bumper cars” with any obstacles it ran into so having this object recognition in this vacuum should extend the life span of the vacuum as well as protect my furniture from any damage. A feature I thought was neat was when the Jet Bot detects an obstacle, there is a voice notification letting you know there is something in the way. I also went ahead and set up no-go zones, which are areas that the Jet Bot should be avoiding.
In terms of cleaning, the Jet Bot does a fantastic job at clearing most debris off the floor quietly. My old Roomba was loud and can be heard from a couple of rooms away, the Jet Bot surprisingly is extremely quiet. My floors are a mix of carpet and tiles. The suction power the vacuum uses depends on what surface the Jet Bot detects. It’s a bit hard to tell how well the robot cleaned the carpet since small debris cannot be seen as much compared to hardwood or tile flooring. But on my tile flooring, I noticed most of the floor was spotless, but the corners of rooms are where the vacuum seems to struggle. I noticed a bit of debris left after a run. The robot vacuum is also a bit taller compared to others, so it won’t be able to fit under some furniture depending on the clearance. Once the Jet Bot is finished cleaning, it returns to the cleaning station and empties the dust bin. The cleaning station is loud which is understandable since ideally, every piece of debris needs to be sucked into the station. This will require a great deal of suction power.
Overall, the Jet Bot is an amazing piece of engineering. It has everything a robot vacuum should have. A mapping feature, object detection, no-go zones, and the ability to identify the type of surface to optimize suction power. Along with these features, the Jet Bot has an aesthetic design to it as well!

It worked ok for the first few months but having the controls in the smart things make it kind of complicated, it would be nice if you could control it on a dedicated app, a month ago it started having problems with the lidar sensor and I have to turn it off every time it star to clean some times I have to turn it on and off several times

Good day.
We want you to have the best experience using your vacuum.
To prevent the LiDAR sensor from malfunctioning, here's a list of things to avoid doing: 1. Do not put any objects on top of the Jet Bot since it may cause malfunctions of the LiDAR sensor or the Jet Bot. 2. Be careful that the LiDAR sensor is not exposed to direct light such as sun light, infrared light, etc. 3. When carrying the Jet Bot, be careful not to let it drop. The impact from the drop can affect the operation or performance of the LiDAR sensor. 4. Be careful not to insert a tool, such as a chopstick, into the revolving LiDAR sensor. Otherwise, the LiDAR sensor may work abnormally or malfunction.
You may learn more about the SmartThings feature on pages 18–20 of the user manual: https://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/202210/20221031152751004/O_DJ68-00846B-04_221028.pdf

Amazing vacuuming technology and simple use

I think that this is the most effective, silent, powerful, and easy-to-manage vacuum robot that I’ve ever owned. There is no question that Samsung is bringing artificial intelligence to a new level with this robot. Not only maps the area, but also recognizes and avoids the objects in the space and defines the best vacuuming strategy to be sure that central zones are as taken care of as the borders and corners. So smart that little human interaction is needed and this benefits the user experience.
I own four vacuum robots of different generations purchased over the last years and regularly used. With this one, I love that:
Very simple setting. Out of the box, a full charge is recommended, once the process end and before activating the unit sync with the app. I own a Samsung phone so the “ Smart Things” app to control the different Samsung devices is already installed and the synchronization was a breeze in less than 5 minutes.
The first action from the start is asking your robot to do the first mapping while doing its first vacuuming. And here, this device has blown my mind. With the central camera/scan the robot is very quickly doing a map of the area and the objects on it. This functionality can also be calibrated on the app. Other robots seem to be more myopic and they need to go over the entire area and be close to the objects. A top technology here and a smart machine.
With a central brush underneath, the vacuuming is great on all surfaces. My house has mostly hard surfaces: tile and hardwood floors with an outstanding shine and the work in carper is also great and the cleaning deep.
Silent: This robot noise is probably the lowest of the four that I own. You be watching TV in the same room and you will hardly need to raise the volume.
Big dust container that doesn’t need to be empty after each work. But when needed, the auto empty process directly in the base does all the job without any effort or noise.
Very easy to manage all the processes from the app directly, I love the couple of basic preferences that can be activated there but I mostly like the simplicity of all. You don’t need to have fancy options to do the job, in fact, you just want all the floors cleaned in the most efficient way possible. And this is happening.
A final functionality that I love is the possibility of creating virtual areas out of range in the app directly on the map where you don’t want the robot to mess around.
A final plus for me: Samsung brings a great guarantee in its products and global service. I know that this is additional safety for my investment.
I recommend this vacuum if are going for the best option in the market. Great quality and simple operation. If you are very techy or just a regular user, you will love strong technology and the simplicity of its use.

Great AI vacuum

Set up was easy in spite of the Smarthings app, more on that later. I have set this up on all three floors of my house and used it. The mapping feature is one of the best I have used amongst the several robot vacuums I have. Customizing the map, naming rooms and the "no go zone" is a great feature. The detail and accuracy of the map produced is very good. I have accessed the camera while it is cleaning, another cool feature, it actually has made me be more tidy with certain things, a side effect I'm sure Samsung did not intend but another plus. In those instances when I am not as tidy, it does a good job at recognizing and avoiding obstacles. I also like the voice response "avoiding an object". I think it would be funny if they added some or made it so you could add your own. Can you imagine hearing "honey pick up your socks".
Cleaning is achieved by mode selection, I have found for battery life and overall good results let it determine how much suction to use. Although the absence of a side brush does sometimes leave small debris, but the trade off is a much smarter vacuum in this case. I was worried the brush was not as aggressive and therefore was not cleaning as well as prior Samsung models. Never fear, after letting it do its thing and running a upright vacuum over the area, it was clean..
The Smarthing app leaves a little to be desired. It lags, reacts erratically and sometimes I believe causes havoc with items. At one point the vacuum kept saying "can't find location" or something similar, then started going in "no go zones". I eventually had to remove, add and remap the vacuum and all has been good since.
I find in most cases this will clean most 1200 sq ft areas in one charge, although the more obstacles may change this. There is a trade off, the more things you have occupying floor space the less cleaning but the more maneuvering which also drains battery.
One downfall that in some cases may be a deal breaker, this thing is huge. So tall that it will no fit under most couches, low profile bed frames and furniture with smaller feet. That was always one of the great things about my other Samsung, no more dust bunnies under the couch and bed. Luckily in this line up there is still a shorter model with the automatic dust bin, less some of the other features.
The dust bin is a great addition, no more emptying the vacuum itself, that is messy. Empty the bag in the auto unit just like you would an "old fashioned" vacuum and you are done. I have another brand with the auto bin, it is very loud compared to this one.
Despite a few shortfalls this thing is a great piece of cleaning equipment and I would recommend.

Samsung - Jet BOT AI+ Lots to love

The Samsung - Jet Bot AI+ has lots to love, but a few things to know. First if you have throw rugs, or bathroom rugs, set this to Normal suction power instead of smart. If you block these rooms or areas, it won't be an issue. Now to the next least favorite aspect, I had a different brand of these and it went under my sofa and beds without issues. This one won't go under my sofa due to its height. Also got stuck twice under my beds so I had to block on the mapping software, "Smart Things" so it will avoid those two beds in the rooms that it cleans. I absolutely love the software and the mappings feature. You can rename the rooms and combine or divide rooms as needed depending on your home layout. The emptying of the debris automatically into the waste bin is awesome. I absolutely love the idea of not having to keep an eye on the machine itself to empty, just the waste container which is separate from the vacuum. The lights and the voice as it is doing its tasks is very nice. If it comes to an obstacle it will let you know and then go a different route to get around the obstacle. This vacuum definitely does it job, just not a fan of a bathroom rug that it destroyed which was only a couple of weeks old. By setting the suction power to normal, I haven't encountered any more rug issues. Still has enough suction to clean rugs, but not to create havoc. Definitely would recommend this vacuum even with the caveats.

Effective Object Recognition, Efficient Clean
|
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
The Jet Bot AI+ Robot Vacuum with Object Recognition is absolutely a luxury item. This is my first Samsung Robot Vacuum, but not my first Robot Vacuum. Prior to babbling to get straight to the point, why this vacuum? The AI+ Object Recognition. I am not 100% sure howwww this works, but boy, the Jet Bot dodges well... with that, almost too well. The Jet Bot is able to determine obstacles, avoiding them efficiently and promptly; I've yet to have to remove it from an object (can not say the same for my other Robots). The almost too well though, bathmats and rugs that are thicker are recognized and dodged. This was the biggest headache when I first got the Robot Vacuum, as I have a hallway rug that is thick, and the Jet Bot just didn't attempt to go past; making my initial floor scan the one room it originated from. However, once I realized this I made some modifications of the floor coverings (removed the rug) and now works without a hitch and effective. It will traverse and clean thin floor rugs, which my wood floor has quite a few of. I have had quite efficiently well cleaned floor since adjustments.
Set-up was quick and easy. The clean station and vacuum are already put together, just have to remove the packing. One of the most difficult parts of set-up for myself was figuring out what phone application to use. There are multiple QR codes throughout the instruction manual, none of which I found went to the app to download. Currently, the application is Samsung SmartThings. Once installed and account made, very easy application to navigate. Quick QR scan to the Vacuum with WiFi information added and was ready to go. Full charge took about 2 hours out of box. To get started in the room there is clean/map versus map option. I started with map (as briefly mentioned above). I was able to get my whole upstairs floor mapped out, bathrooms marked off as no go zones along with the stairwell area and properly labeled my rooms. From there, may initiate clean to full area or zoned. Easy and convenient controls from the application.
With the Object recognition, there is intelligent cleaning. Other than rugs that create obstacles in the only possible pathway, you are able to clean without pick-up; this is a handy tool considering my downstairs situation that is a thing. Suction is optimized by the vacuum recognizing floor type, a convenient feature. On top of that, having a clean station just makes life so much easier. No having to go to the Robot, take out a dust bin and replace it. Plus there is a front camera that allows for live streaming of video images; just a cute addition to Robot vacuum technology in my opinion.
Overall, this is a wonderful Robot Vacuum, with some cutting edge technology for the field. The greatest advantage being actually recognizing and avoiding objects... actually doing this being the key. The largest downfall is that this feature may be slightly too sensitive with rugs and/or the inability to traverse these thicker, longer fiber rugs. It is likely not safe for a Robot vacuum to go over these; however, wish it was an option. All-in-all, a luxury item that enables luxuriously cleaning autonomously.

Keep your home clean and safe

This this is a mini tank and works great. Not only does the Samsung - Jet Bot AI+ Robot Vacuum keep your house clean, but it also aids in home monitoring/protection.
One of the best features of the Samsung - Jet Bot AI+ Robot Vacuum is the automatic emptying station for the Jet Bot AI. It really sucked having to constantly empty out my old Hoover Rogue vacuum in the middle of cleaning. The Samsung - Jet Bot AI+ Robot Vacuum will automatically return to its base, empty itself out, and return where it left of to finish cleaning. The automatic emptying station also helps to eliminate further dust creation, as it incorporates a number of filters to keep a controlled dust emptying environment.
The battery life is also great. It will clean my entire house on a full charge. You can control suction force settings via the app to automatic sensing or max. I have tile and carpet in my home, so the automatic sensing feature is a big plus for me.
One major issue that I had with my previous robot vac is its inability to get through some obstacles during cleaning. It would constantly get stuck on things, including smaller objects. The Samsung - Jet Bot AI+ Robot Vacuum not only looks like a tank, but goes through things like a tank. No more having to go rescue the robot vac during cleanings.
The initial setup is extremely simple. The self-cleaning station utilizes a bag, so install that inside of the station and get things powered up. You will set the vacuum up using the SmartThings app. Follow the instructions on the app, and you'll be up and running in no-time.
The Samsung - Jet Bot AI+ Robot Vacuum will create a map of your home during its cleaning. I have to say that it is incredible how accurate of a map it creates. You will have the option to choose what rooms you want cleaned via the app once the map is created. So, whenever you need to clean a specific room, you can have that done via the app.
As for the home monitoring feature... I love it! You can access the Samsung - Jet Bot AI+ Robot Vacuum's camera, and can even control it through your phone. It really is a great feature that allows me to check on my home when I am away.
I would highly recommend the Samsung - Jet Bot AI+ Robot Vacuum to anyone in the market for a robot vacuum. It will not disappoint.

The future of vacuuming is here today - AWESOME!!!

Here are some of the plusses -
Self emptying dust-bin - When the Samsung JetBot AI+ vacuum’s dustbin is full it returns to its charging dock to empty itself into a larger bin until it is full and needs emptying . This accommodates numerous vacuuming cycles This is then stored in the dock storage bin/bag until this larger bin is full of debris and needs emptying. (Less dumping is great for allergy sufferers).
Wi-Fi connectivity — Samsungs SmartThings downloadable app allows you to control, and monitor your JetBot AI+ vacuum from your phone and gives you access to additional features such as video security.
Mapping — The JetBot AI+ vacuum maps-out your home using LiDAR and other sensors, remembering obstacles like stairs, tables, chairs etc. The map can be displayed on your phone, and using AI it can plan out the best cleaning path, rather than mapping by moving randomly around the desired area to be cleaned.
No-go zones — The mapping technology, allows you to set no-go zones if there are areas you want to avoid, such as stairs.
Targeted rooms — You can also choose select rooms, if you only need to clean a particular space.
Multiple floors — Mapping can cover multiple floors, which is great for multi-level homes and spaces
Scheduling — Using your smartphone, you can schedule when you want it to clean.
Battery life — Battery life is great and when docked on the base base, it can charge itself.
FYI - The side "tracks" (that look like a bulldozer or military tank's tracks) are for esthetics only. It uses aggressively designed wheels and has had no problems navigating over hardwood, carpet and fringed rugs. It has never gotten stuck, even in cluttered areas. It also fits under most of my furniture which is a great plus.
This is a great product!
