Bad purchase. I’m so disappointed. I’m not much of a tech person but the mousse slays pauses and is slow. The actual computer is slow as well. I haven’t downloaded a thing yet and already I have to restart it constantly. I can’t use facial recognition because the camera isn’t compatible with windows hello face. The same software that comes with the laptop, isn’t compatible with it! Big joke!

A Versatile Companion: HP Pavilion x360 Review

I recently had the opportunity to use the HP Pavilion x360, and I must say, it's an impressive 2-in-1 laptop that strikes a good balance between functionality and affordability. This versatile device offers a range of features that make it suitable for both work and leisure.
One of the standout aspects of the Pavilion x360 is its design. The sleek and compact form factor, combined with the stylish aluminum chassis, gives it a premium look and feel. The 360-degree hinge allows for seamless transitions between laptop, tent, stand, and tablet modes, making it ideal for different usage scenarios.
The 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen display on the Pavilion x360 is vibrant and responsive. Whether you're working on documents, streaming videos, or browsing the web, the visuals are sharp and colors are vibrant. The touchscreen functionality works smoothly, providing an intuitive user experience.
In terms of performance, the Pavilion x360 delivers solid results for everyday tasks. The model I tested came with an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a fast SSD, which ensured smooth multitasking and quick boot-up times. While it may not be suitable for resource-intensive tasks like high-end gaming or video editing, it handles web browsing, word processing, and multimedia with ease.
The keyboard on the Pavilion x360 is comfortable to type on, with well-spaced keys and decent key travel. The touchpad is responsive and supports multi-touch gestures, enhancing productivity. Additionally, the inclusion of a fingerprint reader adds a layer of security and convenience for quick logins.
The Pavilion x360 offers a decent selection of ports, including USB-A, USB-C, HDMI, and an SD card reader. However, I would have liked to see more USB-C ports to accommodate modern peripherals. The battery life is satisfactory, lasting around 6-7 hours with moderate usage, although it may vary depending on the specific tasks.
On the software side, the Pavilion x360 runs on Windows 10, providing a familiar and user-friendly interface. HP also includes useful pre-installed software, such as HP Command Center, which allows users to customize performance settings according to their needs.
In conclusion, the HP Pavilion x360 is a versatile 2-in-1 laptop that offers a great blend of functionality, design, and affordability. It's well-suited for individuals who require a portable device for everyday tasks, content consumption, and light productivity. While it may not be the most powerful option for resource-intensive workloads, its adaptability and solid performance make it a worthy choice in its price range.

I'm coming from a laptop with a Celeron processor, so I am more than impressed. It boots up quickly, loads apps in no time, and runs applications smoothly. In terms of gaming, I've only played Fall guys, Genshin Impact, and Apex Legends on this laptop, and all apart from Apex ran smoothly with no tearing or stuttering at low settings. It is worth mentioning the laptop did get REALLY hot when I was gaming but just on top of the function keys. (I mean realllyyy hot). Another con is the battery does drain quite fast; it has never died in my hands, but it goes from 100 to 50 in like 1hr30min but only when doing things that require a lot of memory or CPU/GPU usage. The fingerprint is also really quick and responsive as is the touch screen. It's almost like I have a second phone at times. The backlit keyboard could be brighter but it's still visible in dark environments. The display too could be better but for a 1920x1080 IPS display, I have no complaints apart from color accuracy. And the speakers omg, Bang&Olufsen need a raise Haha, the speakers are crisp and clear, and the bass is madness, I love it. All in all, it's worth the price considering I got this on sale for $530, I'm a happy customer.

Replaced HP Envy 17" from 2014. I like the speed of it powering up. Ease of using the touch pad. The fingerprint security makes it faster to sign on. The battery drains at about 3 hrs using less than 50% brightness. It does get warm if you type on your lap. Lightweight so I can travel with it to appointments.

It works fast, it's light, the keyboard is illuminated and the touch screen responds quickly. The screen should improve in color, in brightly lit places, it does not look good and the battery charge does not last long.

I love this little laptop from HP! I almost bought a Mac but so glad I went with this. I am an architectural drafting student and use a lot of AutoCad and play The Sims. AutoCad runs great, though the gameplay in the Sims is a little rippled. Both require you to change the scale in Display settings for better optimization. The touch screen component makes using AutoCad so much easier than trying to use the touchpad, and I don't need a wireless mouse. It does get a little hot while running the Sims, but so far has been normally cool while running all other applications. It's fast, comes with great features like the fingerprint sensor and backlit keyboard, and is perfectly sized for my needs.

Computer is excellent. I really like the touch screen and size of the screen. The keyboard allows me to type fast and accurately. The memory and hard drive size has fit my needs.
I wish it was lighter (trade off with screen size) and battery lasted longer.

I originally got a I3 15". This has a very bright screen and backlit keys. Still not a fan of silver keys because the letters even with backlight dont stand out well. Its kind of a perfect size ans weight for travel. I especially like the ability to charge using a UCB C cable and standard PD wall charger. I misplaced a power cord traveling once and they are NOT standard at all. The screen turns into a touch screen convertible and rotates and does portrait well. Plenty fast and powerful.

I bought this computer for my home use. We use it for record keeping and some online research. I think I spent 400 on this and thought it was a good value- I did not need the touch screen or the 2 in 1 screen but yeah they are cool.
The good: backlit keyboard works well easy to use the fingerprint reader. That is my favorite feature. Machine boots fairly quickly and runs for about 6 hours. The machine looks great and is easy to keep clean. Display is nice and fine for my needs.
The not so good: the battery seems to go dead in about 10 days even when I think I have completely turned it off. The speakers sound good but are really not strong enough to stream a movie and enjoy without headphones. I purchased the machine with the plan to add to the RAM only to discover that it was not possible. It seems to work ok without the upgrade, but I had planned to do some video editing too but that seemed to be a big ask without the extra RAM.
Overall I’m happy with my investment with this hp laptop.

Random Shutdowns, but I Want to Like it

I want to like this laptop. It's fast, light, and comfortable to type on, mostly.
I find the up/down arrows keys to be a bit on the cramped and small side. Fortunately, they're not incredibly important, but it can be a little annoying when I need to use them.
That, however, pales in comparison to the crashing I'm encountering. It's not my main PC, so I only use it from some light programs. Programs like Microsoft Word and Chrome. But for some reason, this laptop likes to forcefully shutdown on itself.
I presumed it might be temperature related, but with the programs I use, the system really should not be getting to point of shutdown from heat. My only other idea is that the battery is bad. So, be mindful of that.
I've tried a complete BIOS update. I've updated the Iris XE graphics, and reset the CMOS, yet I still get this shutdown. It's random too, so I have to be very careful with my writing documents so as to not lose my progress. Very vexed with this laptop. As I wrote this review, it crashed and I had to retype a portion of it.
I'd encourage buyers to heavily use it make sure that nothing's faulty before the return date.

This laptop surprised me with its power and speed. I wanted a lightweight laptop for travel and portability, it helps me a lot because at the same time I use it as a tablet and computer at the same time, it is perfect, but the technology it brings helps me a lot to work more easily on my designs
