This vacuum has mind blowing features. From the game changing green lazer light to simple features like toggle on/off button. I can’t describe the luxurious features this Dyson has to offer and I recommend watching a YouTube video breakdown because I can’t lie it is cool! However, I can’t recommend this product because of one major flaw: battery life. This Dyson vacuum only comes with 1 battery, and it is not enough to clean my small house. Forget about boost mode because I used it and it went from full charge to dead in about 9 mins. On auto I had better luck it lasted about 27 mins. I don’t touch eco mode because at that point I would rather use my cheap old $75 vacuum. I plan on reaching out to Dyson to see if I may have gotten a defective battery because I’m seriously concerned about the horrible battery life for such a expensive product! I will update this once Dyson gets back to me. Cheers!

Wanted to leave 2 stars but the core design and engineering deserves more from Dyson. Packaging turns into a nightmare puzzle when reboxing. Boost mode nearly useless because it lasts 8 minutes before kills the battery. Only ome of the supplied accessories can be attached to do king station. This is a mjaor shortcoming of the product, clearly wasnt considered a priority. Why cant they be stored with the docking station. Why dont I store it in a drawer? Because thats a good way for them to get lost or misplaced. LG and Samsung did so now thone of them will have earned my business after I have returned the V12. I refuse to spend more money on third-party stands for a $650 vacuum.

This is my second Dyson V-series product and I won't waste any time- they just get better. The V12 Detect Slim is light and relatively diminutive. It's very easy to wield in standard and unusual angles and heights, meaning you can get to all the nooks and niches in your home. Power is excellent, and suction is automatically or manually optimized depending on the dust level. I'll admit, it's motivating when I hear the motor speed up in a particularly dusty area such as under the couch. When I first used the laser feature (it highlights particles you might not notice), I thought it was a little gimicky. I now like it because it helps ensure I've done a complete vacuuming job. The LCD screen provides data on particle size and volume taken in, as well as a variable run time countdown (varies by speed use of course) and also the power mode setting. Dyson provides several useful attachments including the Laser Slim Fluffy cleaner head previously mentioned, a Motorbar cleaner head for high-density hair situations, a Hair screw tool specifically for picking up long hair and pet fur, and two more standard pieces: a combo tool for delicate surfaces and fabrics and a crevice tool. Finally, a "docking station" for wall mounting and a clip for the Combo and Crevice tools. My sole irritation was they moved the power switch from a trigger location to a button on top of the device. I don't currently like it because turning the device on an off is a two-handed exercise. This may prove to be an asset in the long run, as it takes stress off your hand and fingers when vacuuming. I love this device, probably more than anyone should love a vacuum.

I recently purchased this Dyson and have been using it every day to keep up with the hair from our 3 big dogs, 2 with long hair. Here’s what I think: Pros: * performance has been perfect for the use case of hair & dust on hard floors and stairs. Roughly 30+ minutes on a charge with automatically adjusting speed. Plenty of time for finishing the job on hard surfaces. * green light to see the hair and dust is amazing and should be included on every vacuum sold from now on. Not even why I chose this, but I won’t buy another without it going forward. * light weight and flexible head make stairs and hard to reach spots a breeze. * battery accessible to be replaced as needed over the years. * attachments and performance awesome for area rugs and furniture * how you empty this one vs older models is SO nice. You don’t have to fish out stuck hair from the bin at all. Pretty clever how they do it and means no more touching what I vacuumed up. * No trigger to have to hold, so easier on my hands than older models Cons: * think of your use case first. Probably a little underpowered for heavy carpet. Maybe that’s what the other more expensive models are for though. * If I forget to charge it after using, battery won’t last for that needed 30 minutes to finish the house. I’ll solve this by doing the wall mount so it charges every time I put it away. No big deal. * larger items sometimes get stuck (think of random wrappers or leaves that got tracked in). Annoying, but easy to clear. Experience: Overall, this makes vacuuming kinda fun, LOL. I now do it every day without my wife having to repeatedly ask me :-) And the stairs are super easy to do now. No more frustration or procrastination there. Love it. Recommendation: I’d definitely recommend this for similar use cases, and just compare it to other models if you’ve got a bunch of carpet. This vacuum is the best ! I was hesitant at first due to the price and even got buyers remorse right away, but as soon as I turned this bad boy on, It was game on, I clean every day for fun now. It’s light weight, capacity is good for a regular 2 - 3 bedroom home. Its powerful, light weight, battery lasts for about 30 minutes on auto. The attachments are great, and work flawlessly. Every time I have a guest over I make sure I show them the vacuum and they end up vacuuming my whole house. Every. Single. Time. It’s that good and fun. The green laser is also a great feature as I didn’t realize how much dirt and dog hair was in my house, so now I never miss a spot. Long story shot. You will not regret it.

Great vacuum cleaner as always, I love using the light dust detector. It’s amazing.

Love it! Battery runs quick if you use Boost mode but picks up the dirt and residue on the floor.
