I love this vacuum. Have used it for a couple of weeks and very happy with the battery life, charging time, and suction. The vacuum comes nearly assembled, so setup time is minimal and simple. Basically insert the filter and snap the attachments together after removing all the protective packaging. The carpet head is heavier than others I’ve used, but possibly better built. A really cool feature in the carpet head is an LED indicator the lights up more (kind of like a light gauge that gets wider) as it senses more dirt. If on auto mode it also increases/decreases the suction based on this intelligent sensing of dirt. Another very cool feature is that instead of mounting to a wall like most of their competitors, the motor unit has a bracket the the motor hangs on so the whole unit compactly sits on the floor in the utility room. There is also an eco mode to extend the life of the battery if you don’t use the auto mode. The attachments are also well built and very functional. For the price, this vacuum is comparable to much more expensive ones. Highly recommend.

    Awesome Cordless Cleaning Power

The Shark Cordless Pro Vacuum with Clean Sense IQ is one very impressive vacuum, especially if you have pets in the home like we do. With a dog and two cats and four children, our home is a tough proving ground for vacuum cleaners. The Shark Cordless Pro Vacuum with Clean Sense IQ delivered incredible suction in a very small and lightweight package. It was easy to put together and took only a couple of minutes from opening the box to being ready to use. Our rugs haven't looked this clean since we bought them. With pets, you'll definitely appreciate the odor neutralizing technology. The incredible cleaning ability is delivered by the Clean Sense IQ feature. Clean Sense IQ detects the dirt and debris you might not see and automatically increases the power as necessary. The Clean Sense IQ indicator displays when the floor is clean, letting you be more accurate and save time while cleaning. If you're in need of a compact cordless vacuum, you'll not be disappointed with the Shark Cordless Pro with Clean Sense IQ.

Great new cordless upright from Shark

This Shark Cordless vacuum gets used daily or mutliple times a day around our house. We have had mutliple Shark products over the years and they just get better each time. We still have one from 10 years ago that is now the garage vacuum but it is still alive and kicking. We are a family of 6 with 4 daughters that all have long blonde or dirty blonde hair. Their hair is EVERYWHERE and every other vacuum we have had I usually have to cut hair from around the brush about every month or so. After having used this one for about a week and a half I was shocked when I checked the roller and found hardly any of their long blonde har wrapped around it! I found hair aroudn the little side wheels just like any other cordless upgright we have ever owned but not having a bunch of hair wrapped around the roller was just amazing. I also like that this has this new odor neutralizer technology that allows you to insert an odor pod that freshen up the air as you are vacuuming. It isn't overpowering but more on the subtle side but definitely noticeable and nice. It has different modes that youc an have it run in from Eco to power/turbo mode or the automatic mode that is on by default. This mode allows the Clean Sense IQ to work and it automatically adjusts the suction based on if you are on a hard floor surface or carpet. It also kicks the motor up automatically when it senses you are vacuuming up a lot of stuff. Overall we are very happy with this new vacuum. My wife used it for a solid 45 minutes the first day and it never lost suction or power. Great for daily vacuuming of hard floors, espeically if you have pets or kids with lots of hair.

    My new go-to vacuum

This isn’t the first Shark cordless/vacuum I’ve owned, but I will say it’s by far the best. Out of the box very easy to assemble, and QR odes available if you want to visually be able to learn and operate the vacuum. The paper instructions included are very easy, simple, and provided everything you need to know. It does come about halfway charged, but I waited the recommended 3.5 hours for the vacuum to charge, but it didn’t take that long. Shark made so many handy, and much needed improvements. One noticeable feature was the storage option that allows you to hang the lift away for better storage and to save space. This was my first time experiencing that, and I will say it’s a great feature, but it does make the rest of the unit lean forward a bit. The clean sense IQ feature is GREAT. Previously you would have to pull a lever if you wanted more suction over areas that needed more attention. But, with the sense IQ the vacuum does it for you and will intensify the suction over high debris areas, or those really rough spots so all you have to do is just push, and it really does all the work. The other options that I really love is the soft bristles so that means my pet, and my hair will be very easy to clean and not get trapped on the roll. And the filter that comes with it means I no longer have to buy carpet deodorizer powder. Every push of the vacuum provides a fresh, lovely smelling scent. This vacuum gets the job done, and has great features jam packed into a very sleek package. Another great Shark product

Solid performance, but lacks storage features

There’s a lot to like about the Shark Pro. It has 40 minute battery life, which should be plenty for a vacuum session, it has a no tangle brush, and comes with several cleaning attachments and has headlights which is great at showing dirt/dust on hardwood floors. The dustbin is also large, much larger than my older Dyson stick vacuum. But it’s missing what I believe to be important for a stick vacuum and that’s storage options, especially the ability to mount in the wall. That especially rings true for me given the price point. If the latter doesn’t matter to you, then this is a great option as it is a great vacuum. IN THE BOX The box is pretty light. Inside you get the motor and dust canister as well as an extension, vacuum head, crevice tools, and even an air freshener. And there’s the power cord. The instructions don’t mention charging before the first use, but I did anyway just in case. SETTING UP/CONTROLS There is a picture instruction manual. Although I found most of it unnecessary as using and setting up the device is pretty intuitive, especially if you’ve owned a stick vacuum before. The only reason I recommend keeping the instructions is for the care and maintenance - which you should not ignore. Maintenance on ANY vacuum is crucial for maintaining performance long term. This is especially true for the Sense IQ sensors. After charging, I snapped the battery into the base and started vacuuming. There’s only two buttons on the handle which is nice, as vacuums in my opinion should be dead simple to use. There’s the power button which obviously turns it on. There’s a button that looks like a fan that cycles between the vacuum’s three modes: eco (for longer battery); maximum power; and Sense IQ. The Sense IQ mode is what I kept it on, and apparently the vacuum can detect how much dust and dirt is on the floor and will adjust the power automatically. There’s also an LED bar on the base of the nozzle. It looks like a power bar. I can’t tell if it’s telling you how much dirt it detects, or the power level of the vacuum, but the two go hand in hand. Obviously when it detects more dirt, it ramps up the power and the bar “fills up.” After cleaning an area, the bar decreases to minimum and the power turns back down (and by power, you can tell by the volume of the motor, you definitely know when it’s “ramping” up and when it’s at less power). The tools are easy to pop on and off; there’s easy to find buttons at the base of the vacuum and at the long pole where the vacuum head typically is. So you can use the crevice and pet multi tool attached directly to the motor for say vacuuming couches, or attach either of them to the end of the long pole to reach high places. Emptying the dust can is also a cinch. There’s simply a button to release the bin. I found the dirt just fell out, so no need to put your hand in there to break it up or banging it against a trash can to get it to come out. I’m not certain how well that will hold up as dust accumulates over time, but I’m certain if you keep the inside of the dustbin reasonably clean (by rinsing it out periodically) it won’t be a problem. PERFORMANCE As I said initially, I think this vacuum performs well. It sounds weird, but it has a nice hum to it. Sometimes I feel like quieter vacuums don’t perform well (which isn’t necessarily true), and this sounds like an engine. But not in an obnoxious, super loud way. I just liked the sound of it. Even when it revved up to max performance (whether by choosing the option or because the Sense IQ did it) I didn’t think it was too loud. It will, however, wake up your partner or kids if they’re sleeping nearby, but that’s to be expected. But I digress. My house is a combination of hardwood floors and carpet. In my experience, some vacuums kick dirt and fallen food around the floor with its brushes. That’s not the case here. If I vacuumed over anything (within reason, no vacuum is going to suck up large objects) it picked them up on the first passover without knocking it around the floor. I also have cats and with that comes cat hair and small amounts of litter near the litterbox. My wife also has long hair, which causes problems getting tangled up in brush heads. I had no issues in the department in my short time so far. The brush has, thus far, held up to being tangle free. It picks up everything on the hardwood floors with ease. And I really like the headlights, especially when vacuuming with the lights off. I know that sounds weird, but if you vacuum in low light, the vacuum’s head lights really show you the dirt and guide you where to vacuum and allow you to see “clean floors” after you’re done. On carpet, obviously it’s harder to see the dust/dirt/hair when vacuuming, but it seemed to do a great job of picking everything up as evidenced by what it collected in the bin. I also want to comment on edges. Some vacuums are better than others at vacuuming up to the edge of the baseboards. This vacuum didn’t blow me away by getting every bit of dust next to the baseboard, but it does better than some. Meaning, you can use the vacuum up to the edge of walls and feel pretty certain it picked up most of the dirt/dust. But it won’t eliminate the need, at least at times, to use the crevice tool to run along the edges of floors. The same goes with the attachments. They are basic (there’s no small head roller vacuum, like to vacuum couches or carpeted stairs) but they are the essentials. Every vacuum needs a crevice tool and some larger crevice stool with small brushes on the edge to get dust bunnies in the hard to reach places. All-in-all, it’s a terrific performing vacuum. MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTS I wanted to mention a few things specific to this vacuum. First, the air freshener. I’m a bit loath for “extra” features like this that require me to potentially replace them. I didn’t see any documentation about how long the air freshener lasts, but it can’t be forever (I don’t think). I’m not sure what air it’s freshening. When I first put it in I could smell it in the air, but it either stopped working or I got used to it. To me, it felt more gimmicky. The Sense IQ. It seems to work well in that it does ramp up when the light shows you a bunch of dirt/dust collected on the floor, but it too feels a bit gimmicky. It will require the cleaning of sensors at some point; I know this because the directions mention it. Like, it’s a nice touch, but at the same time, I feel like it’s more work in the long run. Although cleaning the sensors really isn’t much work. But I kept it on the Sense IQ mode when operating it and again, it did well. I don’t really have any complaints about it, or strong feelings for it, I guess it just feels like an unnecessary complication for a vacuum (I subscribe to the thought process of more complicated devices, the more things that can break). Using it as a hand vac. The base is lightweight, and vacuuming couch crevices is just fine. But if you used the long extension and vacuuming above your head, I found it to be a little off balance weight wise. Again, it’s not heavy, but it gets a little tiresome if you were to be vacuuming above your head for long periods of time. This probably isn’t too much of an issue as I doubt this is something you would be doing for long periods of time, but I thought it worth mentioning. No wall mount, charging station. This is the real tragedy for me, and really the only knock on this otherwise good vacuum. At this price point, it has to have better storage/charging capabilities. Dyson, for example, typically includes a wall mount and allows you to slide the vacuum in to charge it. Here, your only storage option is to take the base off the pole and attach it (you’ll have to see the picture to see what I’m talking about). This is okay, but I prefer this to be on the wall. And the charging is a bit cumbersome. You have to know where you keep the charger and either take the battery out each and every time you want to charge it, or I guess store the vacuum near the plug and have the relatively short cable plugged into the wall. For a “budget” vacuum, I get it, I wouldn’t expect it. But this vacuum is expensive enough for that to be included in the overall package. CONCLUSION A few gimmicky things aside, gimmicks that are nice features, this is a great overall vacuum. A large dust bin, long enough run time for most of your vacuuming needs, and the no tangle brush. Those are the big ones for me. But the lack of storage options, hanging on the wall, place to keep the attachments, really holds this back as being one of the best choices for a stick vacuum.

I love how lightweight and sleek this is. Its so easy to quick cleanups and even longer jobs don't take nearly as long with this one. No struggles with cords or the weight. Stairs don't break a sweat and I don't have to scrunch myself into cages to get the smallest crumbs. Very powerful for the size. The charge lasts quite long. I was able to vacuum the kitchen, living room, hallway, and entranceway, going over carpet and wood floors on a single charge. So far hair has not gotten caught up in the rollers and the odor control pod saves me time and money with not having to use those boxes of odor destroyers (can't remember exact name) as often. Loving the purchase so far. Hopefully it last for a long time.

We needed a cordless vac for quick clean ups and this works great. It in no way completely replaces the suction power of a regular vacuum on carpets but for hard floors and area rugs, it's really all you need. It is louder than I expected and also has a nifty Iittle notch in the lower part of the main stick where you can hang up the canister for easy storage, so no need for a wall mount. Love that! Battery lasts long enough for me to do the kitchen, dining and living room with one charge. Definitely pleased with this vac.

I love this vacuum!! Holy cow it’s my favorite even over the Dyson. The suction power is phenomenal. I thought I could just push socks and marbles out of the way with it when vacuuming. Nope it sucks them right up! I haven’t brought out my corded whole floor vacuum since buying this. It’s so easy to use and the battery lasts so long. I can bring it out and clean any mess right away without the hassle of a corded vacuum. My grandson is autistic so we have lots of sensory play with orbeez and colored rice. I don’t worry about messes anymore. I would 100% buy this again

From someone who had a Dyson V8 prior, trust me, this is a far superior vaccuum! The roller head works so much better than the felt material provided by Dyson. The battery life is exceptional, and it is very easy to take it apart and stand/store it wherever you would like. The ability for the vaccuum to increase/decrease suction power based on debris detected is also a nice feature.

This is a solid stick vacuum, tho I’ve had it for quite a while now (year plus) and so I’ll do a review. I have a short haired dog and it works AMAZING on solid floors. Carpet even on the high setting it isn’t great. Tho for a stick I’m still impressed for the amount it pulls up out of carpeting. Battery life is also acceptable for a stick vacuum and it charges pretty quick. I have a small space I use it, so for a large house it wouldn’t be great with the battery life. All in all, I’d get it again.

Excellent vacuum cleaner! Previously had a 20 year old Hoover with a cord and this is so much easier to use. Can get about 30 minutes on a charge and very surprised with the amount of dog hair, etc. it picks up. Very easy to empty and takes up a small amount of space when not in operation. Should of done this years ago!

My Dyson died on me a couple of years ago, and I bought a cheaper Bissell as an interim. It was horrible that this unit would blow on the dust and dog hair on the floor and spread a mess in the air and all over the floor. I was chasing them around and it took longer to clean the floor. I found this Shark vacuum in Best Buy's deal of the day and I decided to replace with my interim vacuum. I like this, because it does not create the dust and hair mess, it cleans floor and the LED light makes it easier to spot the mess as well. I really like Odor Neutralizer. I hated using vacuum even with Dyson, because of the smell that was blowing out of the unit. It smelled terrible. This Shark vacuum leave nice fresh scent behind. I like the self cleaning brush. I like how motor goes when we go over the messier area. I have not had a good luck even with Dyson, so I am happy with this unit.

Easy setup and vacuuming within a minute of opening. Cleaver way to hook the main base on to the extension pole so it sits on the ground without falling. I like the ability to determine the intensity of the odor blocking. You notice when the vacuum senses more dirt and kicks in to be higher suction. Transitioned easily from tile to carpet. Only thing missing is the ability to wall mount, so I took 1 star off to not be able to do that

We have mostly hard floors and only a couple rooms with carpet, 4 cats, 2 dogs and soon to be family of 4. I'm very impressed with how well this works on The carpets. Does wonders on the hard floors licking up everything that our corded dyson would miss. It's very lightweight and has plenty of battery for our 3 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, and living room. I highly recommend this vacuum especially if you are comparing it to the cordless dyson units. Great overall value, quality, and performance.

This little bad boy cleans just as hard as a corded vacuum. It is a power house and the microfibers on the roller can clean up most anything, especially pet hair from furniture. You can remove the middle pole and have the brush head attached for hard core cleaning is small tight spots or up close on furniture. Great at dusting hard surfaces. The unit is loud.

Does the job well! Not as slick as the Dyson i previously had but great value for the price. I am particularly satisfied with the intuitive increase in speed and suction when it senses more dirt to the vacuum and the scent it emits from the pod. I enjoy using this product.
