Logitech Astro 30 - stylish and full of features

When it comes to gaming headsets, Logitech has the prestigious Astro lineup. It has brought about some of the best headsets for gamers on consoles and PC. And the Astro A30 is no exception.
The packaging is very classy and once you open it up, it reveals a hard-shell storage pouch. Within the protective shell is the A30. A gorgeous white headset with accents in purple. A boom mic, a type-c cable for charging and a 3.5mm aux cable are all included, meaning you will be able to enjoy the sound of the Astro on pretty much everything you can think of. It has blue-tooth as well.
Let's circle back to the exterior as I'd like to point out that the materials used are of excellent quality. The plates on each side of the headset can be replaced to customize you gear. All the controls are placed in comfortable and intuitive spots. The little joystick-like button to change the volume or navigate the options is a very smart choice.
As the Astro A30 is wireless, it also comes with a USB dongle to connect to the XBox. It doesn't take much more than a couple of seconds to connect it and it's ready to use. The battery-life is within the time it's advertised (27 hours), I managed to get about 22 hours on a full charge.
This headset sounds as fabulous as it looks. It has been tuned for gaming, so when I say "fabulous", I mean that you can hear every sound and tell where it comes from in a game. The sound is clear and wide. Even though it's not made to render music, it does so very well, with a little lack of bass in my opinion.
Chatting is pretty much perfect, you can switch between the boom mic or the integrated mic. Even during a firefight you can understand clearly what's being said.
In all honesty, it's hard to find a real flaw. Even the little details like the noise it makes when you turn something on or off is good. The Astro A30 is a top-performer and well worth its price. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

inally, A Headset My Ears Actually Like!

Alright, let’s be real for a second. I’ve gone through a lot of gaming headsets. Some were too tight, some sounded like I was talking through a tin can, and others just looked... let's say "questionable" (I'm looking at you, glowing, gamer-punk-LED-mess). But when I picked up the Astro Gaming A30 Wireless Headset, I knew I was in for a treat.
First off, it’s wireless, so I’m free to pace around the house like a hyperactive squirrel while I play, without worrying about tripping over cables. The sound? Oh, baby. Crisp and clear, like someone finally got the memo that we gamers need more than just "good enough" audio. It’s like having a surround sound system in your ears. I could hear every footstep in Fortnite like the game was whispering to me, “You’ve got this, buddy.”
And comfort? My ears actually thank me after a long session. No more adjusting halfway through to get rid of that painful pressure. This headset feels like a soft pillow for your head that also happens to have superpowers (aka, amazing audio quality).
The fact that it's compatible with everything—Xbox, Switch, PC, and mobile—means I can game anywhere. Now, if I can just get my wife to stop telling me that playing mobile games while cooking dinner doesn’t count as "multitasking," I’ll be golden.
TL;DR: If you want a headset that feels as good as it sounds, the Astro A30 is the way to go. It’s comfy, it’s stylish, and best of all, no more yelling at the screen because I didn’t hear that guy creeping up behind me.

Sound quality is great. I love the fact that I can be on Xbox party chat listening to the game and also simultaneously connected to media on my phone. Only issue is sometimes it won’t connect and won’t turn off. Have to unplug the dongle and it’ll work again

I was a die hard Steelseries fan but I had 2 headset go bad on me after a year so i switched it up and bought this one on a whim. Hands down I was very impressed, I didn’t realize the features I’d been mission out on until I bought the A30. I honestly don’t know if I can go back to a brand that’s not Astro.
I play on Xbox and pc. The best part about this is it’s Bluetooth to my phone and has a usb dongle that I just plug into either gaming device and it hooks up right away! I can control different features on my phone app and party chat mixer as well. I can all change the sound using the headset itself.
The Dolby surround is phenomenal too!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I bought this partially to try out and see if I liked it and partially because i needed a new wireless headset. Its very light, not lighter than my Sony WHXM4's but light enough to be very comfy, it sounds good, and the mics sound good as well. My only issues came at the very start, neither mic on the headset would work at first and it took me turning it off and on maybe 5 times to get them to work. Other than that, they work great!

It’s better to get A40s or A50s if you want better sound quality compared to the A20 the sound is just about the same. Bluetooth works with your phone but you can’t use the mic to talk. For the price it’s not really worth it, and they feel kind of small.

I’ve used the Astro A50’s in the past and just swapped out my A40’s to try out the A30’s and have been pleasantly surprised with this headset. I’ve always had a soft spot for Astro’s after my first pair of A50’s and I feel like every headset I’ve tried from them so far have never failed to deliver and the A30’s aren’t any different. You can connect this headset to 3 different devices via the usb dongle included, Bluetooth or an auxiliary cord. I don’t really have it connected to more than two and realistically don’t use multiple sources all at the same time, but having the option is nice to multitask with videos or music while gaming and everything coming through the same audio device. The sound quality on them are pretty decent, definitely not as good as the A40’s or A50’s, but the price difference kind of reflects that compared to those headset. It’s still good and the Logitech app for it is pretty simple and has a fair amount of customization to it. The comfort is pretty standard as far as Astro headsets go. I can play for multiple hours without even feeling it, but results may vary from person to person. The internal microphone and detachable boom mic are both pretty good, but the boom mic has the advantage when I’m party chat or Discord calls while the internal is more for phone calls. The tags on both sides of the headset are removable, as well. I haven’t seen Astro do any custom tags specifically for this model, but I remember hearing that some of the A40 tags will fit on this model. I’ve said almost nothing but positive things, but time to talk about some of the negatives. The sound quality is a little worse than an A40 or A50, but you’re not missing out on a ton. I’m not an audiophile by any means, but I feel like the A30 lacks some of the depth that the other two models nail. The boom mic is detachable, but unlike other Astro headset you can’t flip it up when not in use to push out of the way/mute. The dongle is also pretty good for the most part, but you have to buy separate dongles for the other consoles that you bought your headset for which is kind of a bummer. Also, the dongle sometimes won’t see my headset and I will have to take it out and plug it back in to get my headset to sync up to my Series X. More of an annoyance than a huge gripe. Lastly, I saw the headband on other consumers A30’s have come apart decently easy, but in my short experience with them I haven’t noticed anything worrying. The joystick that controls game/chat balance and headset volume is kind of a pain to push sometimes and wish it was a scroll wheel instead. All in all, it’s a good headset with great sound quality that can be easily used for gaming, music, movies and calls. If you want a multi-use headset and are familiar with other iterations of Astro Gaming headsets, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with these. If you’re looking for something primarily more gaming focused I would recommend checking out the A40’s or A50’s at a Best Buy to compare the sound quality, fit and build of each headset. Astro has made another great headset and I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for a next-gen headset with multiple uses. Hope this helps!

I liked the sound, the simultaneous bluetooth, the packaging the mic, but couldnt wear these for over 20 minutes. The clamping force of the headset was so tight it felt like my head was being crushed. If they fixed that itd be a keeper and have more stars but for me it was unbearable and i wear a 7 3/8ths so my head isnt that big

Love the sound quality of the headphones and being able to hear my footsteps, and not only that but with being able to adjust my mic to where I can hear only the game of the voice party is nice. The nice quality is spectacular in my opinion, and overall the headphones sit and fit comfortably for my head.
