This is an upgrade from a smaller 2 yr old iPad Pro and it DOES NOT disappoint. It’s the right max size. Any bigger would be too much. And now that I have used it for some time, I couldn’t envision going back to the smaller one. What a difference a couple inches in screen size makes! The powerful M4 runs very smooth and the screen resolution is great. The battery life is what would be expected. Though I have it set to charge only to 80% and I never let it drop below 20%. A couple hrs here and there throughout the day usually calls for a charge. But it isn’t as much a nuisance as I thought it might be. I usually forget to put it in power saving mode after a charge (power saving mode cuts off at 80% charge and has to turned back on). When I do remember, it does make a little bit difference w/o sacrificing anything noticeable in performance and/or usability.

The Best iPad Ever, But You Probably Don’t Need It

Let’s cut straight to the chase. If you have never owned an iPad Pro before, need OLED, upgrading from a previous gen 11 inch pro or have an extremely niche use case to demand use of the m4.. just get it. It’s the best iPad Apple has ever made and the best tablet experience on the market that’s not a full desktop os. If you still own a previous gen 12.9 with mini-led with apple silicon.. you won’t notice much a difference in day to day use outside of the OLED screen. Might be best to save your money if none of the above features are necessary. M1-M2 iPads will still receive support for quite some time, the magic keyboards are now cheaper, and the Apple Pencil 2 is more than enough. As a graphic designer/ artist a lot of the new m4 iPad features were a pleasant upgrade. In the past I could never hold on to an iPad feeling features were missing or weight was too much for the 13 inch. Finally after so many years we have OLED, better base storage, it’s thinner and lighter, and will support upcoming iPadOS for a very long time. However, outside of work I’m still using my iPad the same as I used too. Browsing, entertainment, social media, notes, etc. Everything I can do on my phone, but this time I feel like the display finally matches its purpose. It’s truly an incredible screen only marginally outmatched by Samsung’s. However, the reference mode in the display settings really makes this shine for a creator. Apple has always had extremely well calibrated screens and this is no different for the model I have. Let’s also not forget moving the camera to the correct, horizontal side of the screen. The drawback for the new m4 pros are the speakers and the cost of new accessories. Apple had to change the magnet array to accommodate the new camera position and other internals. This means your previous Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard for iPad are now obsolete and have to be upgraded to the new and “improved” versions. It’s going to be a growing pain for while before better third party accessories become available. The speakers feel thinner because well… the chassis is thinner! I personally think there is a difference in quality between the previous and current m4, but it’s not the biggest deal.

    Excelent Hardware Update, Poor IPadOS

The M4 is fast, but needs the right programs to utlize it. The OLED screen is bright. See the photo attached for the difference between the 13” Air and 13” Pro. I saw one reviewer said to “not believe the hype,” but its not hype when Apple delivered on the promise. The same concern remains, however. iPadOS doesnt even begin to utlize what the iPad can do as for speed and processing. But, getting this new M4 will be future-proof and be ready for whatever Apple and other developers offer the next few years.

I absolutely love my iPad! It’s incredibly fast, lightweight, and the display is stunning — perfect for everything from streaming and reading to working on creative projects. The battery life lasts all day, and the overall user experience is smooth and reliable. I honestly don’t know how I ever managed without it. Definitely one of the best purchases I’ve made — I’m beyond happy with it!

Upgraded from a iPad Pro 11” 2018 the difference is completely awesome. The screen is gorgeous, the size is great. I can’t believe how lightweight this 13” iPad is. Everything is fast compared to my old device. The only thing I didn’t like was the removal of the extra camera and needing to by a new Apple Pencil

    Amazing All Around Tablet

This is probably the best tablet you can buy right now, with an amazing display that looks better than probably any other display you have ever used, a laptop grade processor (which is not even remotely used to it's full potential), great speakers, face ID, and basically everything else you could possibly wish for. I'm glad that they switched the webcam orientation compared to the last generation and the removal of the ultrawide camera is practically irrelevant. Although it is really cool to hold it in your hands at just 5mm I would rather have it be slightly thicker so that the battery life was improved and it felt a little more sturdy. Not to say that it doesn't feel sturdy, but I feel very scared using it given how expensive it is, I'm always on edge when I use it somewhere where it could possibly get damaged. I think the main advantage of the 13 inch over the 11 inch is if you are planning to use the keyboard or use the pencil at all. The 13 inch is basically the exact same size as a standard piece of printer paper meaning if you plan to draw or take notes you don't have to zoom in like you do with the smaller one. Also the keyboard for the 13 inch is much more spaced out and comparable to a macbook air. It is really light so it isn't necessarily uncomfortable to use but it would its definitely more unwieldy than the 11 inch. I would definitely recommend this if you can find it on sale, which it goes on frequently, but only for people who really care about the improvements over the ipad air. For most people, this is going to feel the exact same as the iPad Air 13 (which is 400 dollars cheaper for the same storage at retail) unless you care about the tandem OLED 120hz promotion display, which I would say is the primary reason to buy this.

Bought as a Christmas gift for my BF. He loves it! He draws on it, plays games, and watches YT. The OLED display really does look beautiful. Also like how they moved the face ID to the side of the iPad instead of the top. I have a 12.9” 6th gen pro and my finger is always coving the face ID, not a problem for him. I only have 2 cons: -Price, thats just an apple thing really. -having to get a new apple pencil is also really stupid. His 2nd gen pencil worked just fine but because apple changed where the magnets are on the ipad he has to get a new pencil, stupid.

This is definitely the best tablet on the market. The screen is incredible in its brightness and color accuracy, and I rarely every use the tablet above 30 percent brightness. Its hard to explain how crazy thin this device is. I had the M1 iPad Pro 12.9 and the difference in weight and thickness is really noticeable. I rarely considered using the old tablet anywhere but on a table or sitting in my lap, but the new 13" pro is light enough that I use it in hand way more often. The added power of the M4 chip is definitely noticeable, as it blows through viewing high res RAW photos from my camera, much faster than the previous ipad or even my relatively new desktop. Outside of a few pro apps for creatives, there's not much in iPadOS that takes advantage of the power that's here. I guess its good for futureproofing against new features that may come with the next software update.

So far I am loving this new iPad! It’s been a week and I can’t put it down. Amazing display and lightening fast. Apps load and open faster than any iOS I’ve had. I did trade in my iPad mini 6 so this is a big change. Literally. So thin that weight is not an issue with a device this large. I read reviews and watched a few before buying. No one mentioned how great the speakers are. The bass is unbelievable. I keep the volume at about 60-70% for surfing the web and watching videos. At 100% they are too loud unless you are listening to music maybe. You can’t go wrong with this price for so much tech.

Absolutely NOT the Device, Unless You’re Me

Let me start by saying: if you’re looking for a device that’s boring, slow, and struggles to keep up with your multitasking chaos—look elsewhere. Want a screen that makes everything look like it was filmed in a potato? Yeah, this ain’t it. Hoping for a battery that dies faster than your motivation on a Monday? Sorry, this one lasts all day and then some. Craving that delightful lag when switching between apps? Nope—just buttery smooth transitions like it’s showing off. Trying to type on a keyboard that fights back? The Magic Keyboard snaps in like it’s ready for battle. Dreaming of using a stylus that feels like dragging a crayon on cardboard? The Apple Pencil is a little TOO precise. It’s reading my mind at this point. Honestly, if you want something frustrating, clunky, and uninspired—the iPad Pro is going to disappoint you. Because this thing? This is the iPad I keep pretending I wasn’t going to buy again. I’ve lost count how many iPads I’ve owned, but this one? This one’s it. If you’re not looking for something awesome, sleek, powerful, and maybe just a little too perfect… Then you’re definitely looking for something else.

I like the size of the screen and the thinness and weight of the product. The display screen is bright and clear, and the keyboard easily keeps up with the speed at which I type. Also, the battery life is really good and long. I’ve only charged it once since I purchased it about two weeks ago. And finally, for artists, the paper-like screen protector and upgraded Apple Pencil are incredible, and make drawing a good experience. While it is pricey, I do recommend it as a device. Now…if they will just make this product work in the same way as a laptop AND phone…well…

This purchase has been one of the best ones I have made in the last few years. I needed to update my IPad and it has been several years since I had done that. I have used it every day and have watched something on it every night. The screen size is outstanding, and speed is quick and picture is clear. The associate that helped me, his name was Tyrone I believe, but he was terrific.

Using this as a media device/comic reader. Overkill? Sure, but that screen is so perfect. I've no regrets at all. OS is incredibly responsive, battery life, especially with the magic keyboard, is impressive. Kind of bummed there's no competition from Android. This is my first Apple device since the 1st gen iPod Touch.

Great purchase. I bought this open box. I was a bit nervous about it but Best Buy delivered again. It came in original box and is like factory new. This iPad is a beast. It’s faster, bigger, thinner, and better graphics than any iPad I have ever owned. Glad I found it open box, but would have been worth it to buy new. Best tablet on the market period.
