Bought open box with protection. Computer would crash with any game and failed HP test first day. They sent it out for repair. While out return window passes. Get email that parts cost hit limit on GSP and protection is over. Pick up PC, still crashes and doesn’t pass the tests. Go back only options are sign up for Best Buy+($50) get a cash refund minus the geek squad or I could get cards minus the geek squad cost. They didn’t test this pc before selling or after repairs but you still have to pay for it. They said they replaced the gpu and the cost was 857.73 for a 3070 lol. Can’t say I was impressed with geek squads repairs so I unfortunately ate the 150.

The HP Omen 40L desk top is everything you could want from a gaming computer. Set up was quick and easy, the tower is lightening fast at multiple processes at once. After searching online My 14 year old declared he can play every game his favorite YouTubers so on this computer (something my old desk top wouldn’t even scratch the surface of) so it passes his test. We homeschool my son and this computer has been phenomenal at running his school programs, videos, PowerPoints etc. My wife and I are gamers also and both of us cannot believe how beautiful the resolution is, crisp gorgeous picture, no lag/ghost tracing etc. FPS is amazingly fast and we run 2k video and play games at 2k with no drop in quality. We paired this with the Omen Monitor and we couldn’t be happier I would recommend this PC to anyone looking for mid price gaming pc that can also do great at school and everyday computing as well. The ability to add more RAM and SSDs is a huge bonus. The clear case and lights really add another level of cool to the set up my family couldn’t be happier.

I was looking for a desktop replacement for my Omen 25L, which served me well, but had a couple of annoyances. This desktop eliminated both of the annoyances. First, it has enough storage, which the other didn't at 256G. Second, this thing is silent. I mean I don't hear a single fan or sign of stress in times of heavy graphic gaming activity. Set up is easy, everything worked the way it was supposed to. If I had any complaint at all, I just wish I could turn off or mute the lights in the case without turning off the computer. Pretty minor complaint, but there it is.
