I was in store looking for a replacement headset as my original dream headset was actually a nightmare. One of the associates suggested this headset and I can say this is the best headset I've ever had. I love the color, the sound is great, and it is not heavy to walk around with. It even has a longer distance so I can still hear my friends when I'm in kitchen. The only thing I could complain is the Logitech G-hub which the developers definitely need to put more effort in making it better
Thank you for your detailed review of the Logitech PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Headset. We are thrilled you're enjoying the comfort, audio quality, and extended wireless range! We appreciate your feedback on G Hub and are continuously working on improvements.

I upgraded from a set of logitech 935's that had served me well for several years. The first thing I noticed with the X2's was the build quality being MUCH better. Very solid, better buttons and switches. The sound is very good, thanks to the larger drivers. Battery life is much better as well, now basically days vs hours. The range is a huge improvement. I can listen to my comuter from the basement w/ no issues which was not possible with the 935's. Lastly, the bluetooth functionality with my smartphone is incredibly useful.
I would recommend this to a friend

Great Headset with Good Upgrades Over Previous Gen

My previous headset was the Pro X Wireless 1 which I believed was a great headset and this is much of the same with some improvements that made me switch.
Pros:
First off, the bass is much stronger out of the box and you can further tune it to your liking.
My favorite feature is the ability to switch between the USB dongle and bluetooth connection with the press of a button. Super convenient (with a small caveat*).
Also a minor upgrade is the ability to rotate the earcups so you can wear them flat around your neck/chest instead of them being uncomfortable to wear there.
The battery life is still great. I use it for up to 12 hours a day sometimes and it never dies.
Headset strap and ear pads are just as comfortable, though I will note that you have to wear them for a bit to really shape to your ears/head. (At least for the memory foam leatherette pads)
Good set of accessories.
Cons:
The equalizer has a more limited range than I would like. It maxes out at 6600Hz despite the headset being able to produce up to 20KHz. This gets annoying for me for certain TV shows where there's a super high pitch in the background noise that I can't tune out through the EQ. (This could be fixed by a future software update).
As for the bluetooth, the caveat is that it sometimes just disconnects during use after automatic pairing. I usually just hold the pairing button down, reconnect, and it's back up. But it can be annoying every so often.
Conclusion:
I definitely would recommend this headset if you're looking for wireless. I think the pros outweigh the cons, but if you aren't as interested in bluetooth then the Pro X Wireless 1's are great as well.
Thank you for your detailed feedback on the PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset. We appreciate you taking the time to compare it to the previous generation and sharing your insights on the improvements and areas for potential enhancement. We're glad to hear that you're enjoying the enhanced bass, customizable EQ, and the convenience of switching between USB dongle and Bluetooth connections. We'll take your feedback regarding the limited equalizer range into consideration for future updates. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the occasional Bluetooth disconnection. We'll continue to work on improving the Bluetooth connectivity to ensure a seamless experience.

All-Purpose, All-Premium Headset

Logitech’s line of headsets have been a mainstay in PC peripherals, dating back to the 1990s long before online gaming and virtual meetings were common. Known for enduring value and quality, Logitech has always been my recommended brand to friends and family alike. With the meteoric rise of the popularity of eSports streaming and broadcasting, it was only a matter of time before peripheral manufacturers like Logitech stepped up their offerings with products catering to serious gamers and prosumers alike.
The new Logitech PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset is a premium device with higher-spec components than Logitech usually offers in the space - most notably, larger drivers made with graphene that promise to deliver top-tier sound reproduction for crystal clear audio even during the most heated moments of any competitive match. Logitech’s combination of quality design & construction, matched to driver software that’s refreshingly intuitive and meaningful, delivers an exceptional gaming headset that will last for years to come.
An important note - though compatible with game consoles, I tested this headset exclusively on Windows 10 and 11 PCs. Your experience may vary on other devices.
- Unboxing and Setup
With little more than mandatory disclosures and a warranty information pamphlet inside the box, Logitech leaves all setup instructions on the flaps inside the packaging. While clever, it only covers the basic setup instructions for PC or console and doesn’t overview all the headset’s functions. Thankfully the headset has only a few labeled buttons that are easy to interpret. The headset will immediately connect to the included USB receiver, but can also be paired via Bluetooth Low Latency for a fully wireless, dongle-free setup with your PC, phone, or supported game console.
Logitech includes a smattering of accessories with the headset, including the aforementioned USB receiver for instant setup, a branded neoprene carrying case, USB-C <> USB-C cable for charging and connectivity, a 3.5mm headset cable for fully lossless audio, and an alternative set of ear pads with cloth for those who prefer this material to the preinstalled leather pads - myself included. Switching between the two is easy as the pads clamp elastically to the headset.
One nice touch is that Logitech’s product safety guide includes instructions on how to remove the lithium-ion battery, which can be accessed and disconnected without the use of any special tools. While intended for recycling purposes, this also indicates that the battery is user-replaceable, extending the life of the headset by many years.
- Build Quality, Comfort, Ease of Use
Here’s where the surprisingly high cost of the headset stacks up. Logitech pulled no punches in making a premium, almost luxurious piece of gear for everyday gamers, eSports professionals, and prosumers alike. At 340g (approximately 12 ounces), the brushed-metal-framed headset isn’t the lightest out there, but the weight feels very well-distributed and sits on the head with little sensation of extra heft. The leather-padded headstrap is soft and comfortable, and the adjustment range for ear height is absolutely massive. With a large, 24” circumference head (measured at the brow), I found the fourth-tallest setting (6 steps out of 10) to be ideal. This headset will almost assuredly adjust to fit your head without issue.
Designed as an over-ear headset, the ear pad cups are similarly spacious and envelop my larger ears with plenty of room to spare. The clamping force is about par for course, maybe only a smidge higher than I’d like on the lower back side near the lobes, but after a few weeks of regular use I’m sure the foam in the ear pads will compress some. Not that this is a major issue - the headset is still extremely comfortable to wear, and I can go hours at a time without discomfort. The hinge joints that allow the ear cups to rotate flat for storage feel solid, if not as smooth as I was expecting for such a premium-aligned headset, but don’t raise any concern.
There are only 4 physical controls on the headset - the power slider, an infinite-scroll volume dial, a mic toggle, and a Bluetooth sync button. These are all on the left ear of the headset and easily differentiated by your thumb as they have different textures, and the spacing is very good. The Bluetooth button is furthest forward and quite distant from the headset mute button - I only hit this by accident and inadvertently activated pairing mode mid-game once early on. After less than a minute familiarizing yourself with the button locations you’ll be good to go.
- Sound & Mic Quality
Boasting 50mm, graphene-based dynamic drivers - larger than the standard fare 40mm ones you find in most other Logitech headsets - I was expecting a deep bass response but found the headset’s “flat” setting (the default without using Logitech G Hub to adjust the equalizer - more on this later) to be surprisingly weak in this area. While bass is punchy, there didn’t seem to be too much of it to go around at first. That said, mids and highs come through exceedingly crisp and clear, which is perfect for voice chat and listening for in-game sounds that could tip you off to your enemies’ movements. The sound stage (perceived distance between leftmost- and rightmost-panned sounds) is a bit narrow, but this is typical of most closed-back headphones like the X 2 LIGHTSPEED. The tradeoff is that sound leakage is fairly low even with the cloth pads - it’s not completely inaudible, but it’s well-muffled otherwise.
Microphone quality is good, if a bit lacking in depth. When run wirelessly, voice chat takes on a bit of a telephone (albeit a very good telephone) quality, with my voice lacking warmth and richness I found using other headsets. However, the sound is still exceptionally clear and there won’t be any instance where the microphone quality impedes your teammates’ or other call participants’ ability to understand what you said. A dedicated cardioid or similar streaming microphone will deliver better results, but unless you need top-tier voice quality for production purposes the X 2 LIGHTSPEED’s microphone will be plenty suitable.
A dedicated hardware mute button is a fantastic touch - and it’s a physical toggle button that is depressed when the mic is hot. Audio cues in-headset confirm the mute is on or off (as well as the power LED flashing either green or red, respectively).
- Range & Battery Life
The range of these headphones is excellent. Across multiple floors and trying to introduce worst-case scenarios inside my home, I couldn’t find any situation where the headset lost connection to my computer or phone at the extreme opposite end of the house. After about 50 feet through 3 floors I noticed a little bit of stutter, but in any real-world use case I saw no issues.
Battery life is absolutely fantastic. After 4 hours of continuous gaming with friends, the headset lost just 10% of its charge (as reported by the Logitech G Hub app). I expect that Logitech’s 50 hour runtime is fairly accurate - I just didn’t have enough time to verify the full range before posting this review! The X 2 also recharges quickly, going from about 50% charge to full in just a hair over 30 minutes.
- Logitech G Hub
If the flat bass response and “it’s fine” microphone quality were the end of the story, I wouldn’t have rated this headset so highly. Indeed, we’re in an era where the software is just as important as the hardware, and despite some initial disdain at the size and need to have companion software to get the best results, Logitech’s G Hub software truly fills in all the headset’s shortcomings.
Starting with sound quality, a 5-band equalizer allows you to make basic adjustments to the frequency response. The post-processing here is excellent, with small changes to each frequency slider working exactly as I would expect. I found that slightly raising the bass while lowering higher frequencies gave the best overall experience - any reduction in sound volume resulting from reducing mids and highs was counteracted by simply cranking the headset’s volume dial higher.
As for the mic, Logitech’s purchase of the Blue Microphones company has led to the inclusion of Blue-branded post-processing in the G Hub app. With about two dozen sound profiles to pick from, and plenty of customization available to adjust filtering, pitch, reverb, and more, the app meaningfully changes the way your voice carries through to the other end of the line. The “Broadcaster” presets are my preferred options - they remove all of the weakness in your voice coming through the mic and sound a lot more like sitting directly in front of a quality Blue cardioid microphone. Though maybe a bit overboosted, the settings are easy to tweak, and in any case the post-processing restores much of the lost warmth and bravado without needing to change anything in your existing apps. A stellar showing all through.
I understand not everyone is comfortable running background software to get the full experience, and indeed this is a PC-specific feature that goes missing on consoles. But the change in sound quality is so significant, and the CPU impact so opposingly insignificant, that for once I do suggest running the Logitech G Hub companion software in the background - something I haven’t said of any PC peripheral in years. It makes that much of a difference.
- Bottom Line
My last Logitech headset served me well for nearly a decade, and I’m expecting the PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED to be my main for just as long. It'swonderful to wear, delivers exceptional sound, has an incredible battery life, and the optional G Hub software is excellent. Any further criticisms I could level would be nitpicky, and certainly don’t detract from the premium experience Logitech created here. Though a bit pricey at a $249 MSRP, the complete package is worth the price of admission for a high-end headset to last. Highly recommended!

Came from steel series arctis 7’s and those were amazing. These take it a step further with the comfort, sound quality, bass, positioning of footsteps. The audio just seems smoother and not overly loud like the steel series can be. I don’t have to turn down most games I open, turn down music boy is discord, nothing. Logitechs cheaper headsets aren’t the greatest but I feel like the pro x’s are just built different lol.
Thanks for sharing your experience with the Logitech PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset! We're thrilled to hear you find it comfortable, delivers excellent audio quality, and provides clear in-game positioning. We appreciate you choosing Logitech!

I orginally user the G773 and moved to this. Great upgrade. Very comfortable, and lightweight. The microphone is much better as well! Battery life is fantastic too! Set up was failry easy as well. I did buy them on sale as well as doing the logitech recycle trade in. Im not too sure if I would have bought it at full price however, but if you have logitech products to recyle and get credit, I would recommend!

The sound is fantastic, the bass is amazing, its comfortable and breathable, sturdy and well built. Looks great, built with good materials, but the range leave a bit to be desired. Doesn't work as well as razer headsets through walls or as far, and the microphone itself does not sound great. I also despise the software and the mic wouldn't work without it. I've owned logitech headsets before and I would again, but the sound quality, build quality, and amazing battery life really carry this headset.

This gaming headset touches all the bases in the most perfect ways!
I have had many many headsets over the years and after using this one for just 2 months this one is already in my top 2, if not top 1 for gaming headsets.
A super comfortable headset that can be worn for as long as you need without any discomfort, in personal experience I’ve had the headset on for 12 hours at once without experiencing any discomfort on my ears, on the top of my head from the headband or felt heavy from the weight of the headset.
Extremely comfortable, extremely light weight.
Perfect wireless connectivity with the options to connect with the included USB or even through Bluetooth.
The power switch on the headset might be one of my favorite features on this headset that I have not seen in another wireless headset. Instead of holding down a power button for a random amount of time, waiting to hear the power down sound effect, you can simply flip a switch from on to off, quickly and easily.
The lifespan on the battery is another impressive feature of the headset given how light weight it is. I’ve used this headset for at least 4 hours a day, every other day, for 2 months and have only had to charge it twice!! When it needs to be charged it charges to full battery very quickly with my headset only requiring about 1-2 hours to fully charge and it can still be used while being charged.
Overall amazing headset, have nothing to complain about, only amazing things to talk about with this headset with all of its perfected features.

This headset is completely overkill, the sound quality is out of this world, i love this headset and i got really impressed about the weight it's pretty light. It could be a little bit more cheap, but i really don't mind to pay a little more money to get this high quality headset.
The battery is insane btw, i bought like 1 month/2 and i only have to charge 1 time.
Cons: The mic is really decent but you have to know which configs is gonna fit better for it.

PROS:
I think this is a great headset. Coming from a 4 year old arctis 7, the new battery life on this headset was absolutely amazing. Going from having to charge once a day to once a week is one of those quality of life aspects you’ll love.
I really like the sound quality as well as the ability to choose different presents and fan made audio presets in the software.
Lightweight, very light pressure on the head. You can barely feel it on you at times.
CONS:
I am not a fan of the button placement for certain buttons. At times, I find my shoulders or a piece of clothing rubbing against the volume wheel or even my shoulder hitting the mute button. Not sure if this is the case for others or if I just have burly shoulders..
Another con is the mic quality. Many of my friends on discord have mentioned me sounding better with the blue mic mode disabled rather than it enabled. And that quality is subpar at that compared to my four year old arctis 7. I have researched the upgraded blue mic mod but from sound tests, I don’t believe it’s worth it.

Great headset! I've owned for a little over a month and have only charged the headset once. It has great battery life, and most importantly, it's really comfortable. I have a bigger size head and this was one the reasons I bought this headset due to numerous reviews saying it's a comfortable headset. The addition of mesh vs leather earpads is really nice, gives you options. Great build quality, feels very sturdy. My one con is mic quality. It does sound make you sound like AM radio by default and for the price it can be better. Luckily, the app lets you change up the mic sound and you can adjust it to be a bit better/tolerable. The sound is incredible. very little distortion and everything sounds really clear in games and great in music. I don't see myself getting an upgrade from this, and if my headset were to break, I would by another one.

Well, I’ve tried thousands of dolars of headsets. And this to me is a excellent mix of great sound and good features. It is missing one big one though… and that is the ability to use chat mix. Thats right, its 2023 and logitechs most premium headset doesnt have chatmix channel. Yes you can use discord on pc to adjust volume of friends but chatmix makes it so much easier. If they added that feature it would go from 8/10 to a 9.5. Bass is the best ive ever heard on any headset wired or wireless. And its not loud obnoxious bass its clear and punchy, i really enjoy the sound profile i have setup for it. And that leads me to by far the biggest let downs it has… the mic is below average, and the software is trash. The surround settings in logitech make this great headset sound like trash. But when i use sonar (steelseries software) it sounds much better. Also the EQ bands could use a more open type like other brands (steelseries) battery life is great tho! Also very very comfortable even with glasses. Out of my recent headset testing this is the one i kept and it is replacing my steel series nova pro wired.

I am rating it only 4 stars because Logitech messed up surround Sound. I'm not sure why they changed it from the older models as those have great virtual surround Sound but unless they can fix it with a software update it's something that stays off.
Pros-
The sound is awesome if surround Sound is kept off.
Everything from the mids to lows and even bass sound wonderful to the ears. Volume is much better than older models where i don't have to install a 3rd party program to make the volume louder. Very comfortable. The Oval shaped ear-covers make for a perfect fit on the ears. The clamping force is well balanced. No to tight not to lose. The battery life is amazing.
Cons-
surround Sound is just bad. so very very bad. Makes everything muffled. like if everything was recorded on a really bad mic.
Talking about mics well... don't use this one. Just get a desktop mic and maybe use this mic only if you need to.
EQ OMG the setting for the EQ have been nerfed. Why? i have no idea. Old Logitech headphones have wide EQs with many points to adjust. Now you get only 5 =( why?

Bought this headset to work from home. Have a very noisy environment, the sound is perfect and the microphone blocked every single loud background noise. Very comfortable and lightweight, battery life is amazing. The issue I encountered was a robotic voice that started to happen about 10 minutes into the call, I couldn’t understand my clients and they couldn’t understand me, tried to fix the issue by connecting it to my computer using the dongle and my phone simultaneously, update the firmware, but didn’t work so I had to return them. Overall excellent headphones for work besides that issue, I don’t have any doubts that are among the best ones for gaming.

Back when Logitech came out with the G Pro X headphones, I was i beside myself with excitement. And they were easily my favorite gaming headsets , for PC gaming. The only problem I had, was the fact tat they couldn't be used on my Xbox system. Now that the sequel has arrived with ability to use aux for less latency and us it for just about everything, theses are right back at the top of my list for best headsets. The drivers are a little more comfortable and they;re also much lighter. So that comfort level just keeps my swooning. In the box, as per the usual, you'll get the headphones, a boom mic a PC dongle, charging cable, and a carrying case. Honestly, I wish they could spring for a more sturdy case. Rather than that bag, they are providing. These are some high-end , premium headphones here. Now what has me excited about this ideration, is the inclusion of the AUX cable. Oh my gosh! This allows me to play on anything I want, including smartphones. Of course, you'll have to deal with the G Hub for you PC connection and the Blue software can be hit or miss, depending on updates. I really can't say much against picking up a pair of these. I highly recommend these to any gamer. If you need to hear where your online rival is coming from in that heated Death-Match & look and feel good while doing so? Grab up a pair of Logitech G Pro X 2s. Go get some.

This headset is excellent, I bought them to replace my Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max when they broke and not only did I find the audio to be better but they’re way more comfortable. A big issue I had with the Turtle Beach headsets is that they press into my glasses and give me a headache but the Logitech headset didn’t have that issue at all! The audio quality is crisp and clear and the battery life is outstanding. They can also be paired to your phone as headphones or as a headset. Good for use on a PC or on a console.
Thanks for the review! We're happy you find the PRO X 2 comfortable and offers impressive audio and battery life. Its versatility for various devices makes it a great pick.

It's one of the best headsets I have used in a long time. I was using the SteelSeries, and I loved how they sounded, but I could not stand the bloated app you had to use with them. Unfortunately, this is what caused me to look at these Logitech headphones. I wanted something with good sound but also with software that didn't feel like it was hogging my system resources. They are a good set of headphones you can enjoy using. They feel good on the head and are very customizable.

Got these headphones because of some light research I had done and because they were on sale. The headset is well built, solid comfort but the software is just abhorrent. The drivers in these headphones are severely limited by GHub software. EQ is incredibly limited, surround sound is horrible due to EQ. Out of box headphones were muffled. Does not work with DTS: X and you have to manually switch the drivers to get some decent audio out of 'em. If you are using these headphones wired you can get them working with dolby atmos but then why can't they work wirelessly? GHub also gets finicky when trying to get mic playback. Apparently there was supposed to be an update to increase the EQ settings a few years ago but never came to fruition. All in all, headset is stacked in terms of parts but is ultimately buried by its software.
