It's really nice knowing the quality of the air in our home it's being monitored and the lovely smell that it emits. I like being able to see seei the air quality. Makes me more secure about the air I'm breathing. It's very quiet so it doesn't interfere with our sleep. It's nice knowing the quality of the air that's being put back into our home. Also, I like the timer on it. It makes it very convenient to know that it's off during the day when we're not home, but can come on right before we get home or anytime of the day I choose. Not having to purchase extra filters all the time is a really really great thing. I recommend this product to anyone and have throughout my work area and my friends and family.

Verdict: It’s not the best-looking air purifier… but it’s a powerhouse. It can purify a 1400 sq. ft. room in just an hour. It has a convenient LED screen for air quality status, easy button controls, automatic self-adjusting power, and fresh-smelling cartridges. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a UV light. First impressions. Wow! That’s a big machine. It looks like an industrial air purifier rather than a home purifier. The button panel is easy to understand and to use. Controls. Located at the top of the unit, the control panel allows for easy operation of the machine. From the panel, you can turn the machine on/off, change the fan speed, select auto-adjustment of the power settings, set a timer, and adjust brightness. The LED screen provides easy-to-read air cleanliness status. Air filter. The best feature of this air purifier is that we don’t have to change the filter for up to five years! This is going to save us a good amount of money. The Filtration system uses pre-filtration screens to remove large debris and then an anti-allergen HEPA filter to trap 99.98% of particles. Of note, there is no UV light on this machine to kill bacteria or viruses. Performance. This machine appears to be quite powerful. At maximum power, the fan is strong and not quiet. At the minimum speed, the machine is very quiet and barely noticeable. The lights are dimmable so that you can also use it at night. There is a slot for air-neutralizing cartridges; this is a very convenient feature because you can get a nice smelling home while the machine cleans the air. This feature works very well actually. Things I love. - Big and powerful - Easy to use control panel - Automatic self-adjustment of power setting - Anti-allergen HEPA filtration - No air filters to buy for 5 years!! - Integration of smell-good cartridges - 5-year warranty… wow! Things I don’t love. - This machine would be more effective if it included a UV light and an Ionizer. - I wised the machine looked better. I am happy to use it in my bedroom or in the living room when no one is visiting, but it’s not a device I would leave in a corner if we have guests at the house. Overall, this is a good machine to achieve rapid air purification without having to spend money on air filters. Some features could be better, but I am overall happy about the performance thus far.

This is a great product for any pet parent out there! We have 4 large dogs, and even in a house with hardwood floors, we still get the dog smell lingering in the common areas quite frequently. We bought this to use in about a 1000 sq ft. area, and we noticed pretty significant effects after only a few days of using. It definitely helps cut down on pet odors, reduced the amount of pet dander (according to our friend who is slightly allergic), and we noticed it helps clear out cooking odors/smoke pretty quickly too. The auto clean mode seems to work fairly well. We notice that it start increasing the fan speed when we're cooking, or when we open up doors and windows to air out the house (which would cause more air pollutants). Most of the time when it's running, we don't notice or hear it. The only time it becomes noticeable is when the air quality drops, and the fan increases for a short period of time. For the price, the low maintenance filter, and the fact that it's a Shark (they're usually good at replacements if something breaks) I'd say this is worth the money and works as advertised. If you have pets or allergies, I would definitely purchase one of these.

I bought this after having a full on sneeze day recently. It was horrible. I don’t think that will ever happen again with this unit. It makes the air more comfortable to breathe, and I like how it circulates the air in the room. I’ve got two cats and I don’t smell them any more. I also smoke and don’t see the smoke lingering in the air anymore. This is a game changer and a life saver. I love my shark vacuum and how well it’s performed under heavy use throughout the years, so I’m looking forward to this unit also working well.

I've purchased a few air purifiers in the past, and have allergies to contend with when a purifier isn't getting the job done. This one is the best one I've ever had! One of my favorite features is the debris catcher, which is a huge help for anyone with animals in the house. I have two cats, and it catches the hair and extends the life of the 5yr filter (also amazing!). I set it to auto for most of the day, and then put it up to a set fan speed at night for sleeping. It picks up bad particulates when the windows are open on a questionable air quality day, or when I'm cooking (especially if something burns a little), and any other time that the air is bad. It'll turn yellow or red, depending on the severity, and boost the fan to pull in more air faster until it registers okay air again. It doesn't seem to register chemical smells I get when the neighbors (living in an apartment) have a cleaning day and bleach everything to high heaven, but it catches everything else and I'm very impressed with my Shark. I highly recommend!

Very pleased. Easy to setup. Find the right location and you're on your way! It does exactly what it's advertised to do. Keeps the air nice and clean and fresh. Knocks down kitchen odors quickly, too. Would recommend to others.

Let me get right at why you might read this review. I have had a few weeks using this new Shark NeverChange Air Purifier Max and it is terrific. Its only possible shortcoming, as with any air cleaner/purifier that I have ever had, would be noise of the fan. But lets be real, without the fan spinning at higher levels it will never clean enough of the air in your home or office to be any use. And YES, this definitely is cleaning the air in my home. And it does it all on a set it and forget it "auto" mode. The terrific sensors built into the purifier ACTUALLY takes care of the air for you. Especially useful around dinner time. Most evenings it ramps up as the LCD score on the front of the unit goes down. We are not burning dinner, but it senses particles in the air and it ramps up to suck those particles out of the air. Within about an hour. It has mellowed to a slower/calmer fan speed and the house is as if we had cooked nothing at all, smelly foods or not. Just be aware of where you locate the unit. We placed ours at the edge of the living room in the traffic flow between kitchen and bedrooms. While it may look like R2-D2 and a 20lb propane bottle had a baby. It can get loud like an old school window air conditioner on max/high and it can last for awhile as it freshens and cleans the air. The included odor neutralizer seems to work without adding a masking scent to the air. The neutralizer has a smell to it, but its not identifiable to my wife or me. Its just a pleasant clean smell. While I have only ever owned 3 big house air cleaners. This Shark is by far the best performer, and it is actually sensing the need to clean dirty air and ramping up the fan to work harder at cleaning the air. You can also see particulate info on the LCD display. My older highly rated air cleaner never ramped up to clean the air like this shark does. The Shark is also significantly louder at all but the lowest speed. A bit like the hum of a refrigerator when it cycles. So, If a fridge hum is annoying to you. You might want to place it out of the way. Yet, despite the slightly increased noise. This machine WILL clean odors out of the air. And with the promise of possibly up to 5 years before the air filter replacement. Just keeping the air scent pod changed and the prefilters clean on either side could make Shark NeverChange Max the best air purifier from any brand.

Works great and covers my downstairs. Very little noise and easy to clean

This air purifier is superior to others I have encountered, and I purchased it for use in a two-bedroom basement apartment with a kitchen. During winter cooking, we cannot open doors or windows due to temperature fluctuations. The unit's auto mode, which is highly recommended, activates immediately in response to air quality changes. Noise levels are minimal except at maximum speed, which remains tolerable. This is among my best purchases this year. I strongly recommend this product for families; the cost is fully justified.

The Shark does a great job of cleaning the air and eliminating odors. The auto function works great and really does respond to detection of particles in the air. Once it reaches good air quality levels it’s also very quiet. I also look forward to not having to replace the filter for 5 years.

There are no words. I was frying fish at home. I turned it on, and in half an hour, there was no trace left. The house was fresh, and there was no smell left. It works perfectly!

Gobble up the bad odors, dust, and pollen with this. Luckily I am able to put this within a few feet of the HVAC register and I think that helps even more. Auto mode is very responsive, sometimes too much, but it is very quick to clear out any bad air. Turned it off for a few days when moving decor around for Christmas and soon noticed the air quality was worse without it. Cannot live without this now.

I love this air purifier. I debated between this one and one that had a heater as well but went with this one because of the filter life. It isn’t noisy at all. It runs until it has cleaned the air and then runs something like a fan emitting the clean air through the top. It is really quick to pick up cooking odors and picks up speed until it’s done cleaning it out. I just rinse out the side filter biweekly. I would definitely recommend.

Great air purifier, low price, sleek look, very quiet, auto and eco modes, nice bright display that you can turn off at night. Lightweight. Definitely helps with allergies and less dust. Would Definitely recommend.

I am absolutely amazed by this purifier. We have several animals which means lots of dander. I also have very bad asthma/allergies so I knew something had to give but I didn’t want to keep wasting money in expensive filters with the other purifiers. I found this air purifier by searching for purifiers that don’t require filters. This was the best one I could find that has a filter that’s supposed to last 5 years! I am so glad I bought this purifier. My house smells so fresh now! It’s super easy to set up, extremely quiet but it is on the larger side. I sit mine in the corner of my living room on top of the end table. So glad I purchased this purifier!!
