It's not that much of a step down at all from the 1 up version: the G502. I have been using the G502 as my primary mouse for about 1 1/2-2 years now. Bought this on sale to see how well it works. A good backup or a close 2nd to the G502.

Perfectly feasible but does require downloadable software for customization, which my IT at work does not permit. I use Razer Basilisk and am continuing to use a newer model of that (therefore I do not recommend This product)

It's a well-built mouse that is comfortable to use for long hours. I use it for office work as well as games. It has low click latency and allows you to adjust the CPI in increments. There are customizable buttons for on-the-fly CPI switching.

The size was good but it was heavy. Overall it was good.

This mouse is basically a stripped-down version of a G502. No bells and whistles. No weights, no extra LED lights, no changing colors to something else, no textured grip or braided cable. It works just fine.

I bought this mouse during the thanksgiving sale event and I am very pleased with the experience. It has good sensitivity and can be tuned using the logitech software.
