    Great All-in-one Remote

Been a fan of Logitech Harmony remotes for awhile, but this one takes the cake with only a few minor downsides. First, it does not use direct IR and instead sends and RF signal to the hub by all the equipment which means I can still change the channel when my kids stubbornly do not move out of the way. Also prevents me from having to control individual devices when someone else in the house was not holding the older remote directly pointed at the equipment. Also love how it controls my LIFX smart bulbs so I can auto-dim the lights when I start movie mode. Only gripe is lack of backlighting which makes it harder to see buttons in the dark, but the tradeoff is not having to change the batteries 1x per month.

I could not believe that a controller would actually be able to control all of my devices and be able to replace the 6 controllers and their own very specific functions that I was using for my system. I have a setup that includes a TV, projector, surround (with dvd), WD TV, a PS3, an iogear wireless hdmi switch and a digital optical switcher. The harmony takes care of all of that! Is amazing. The setup is a bit annoying but after you set them up you won't need another controller. I wanted to buy the ultimate home controller but I found the touch a bit annoying, if you want touch control you can use your phone with this one anyways. No need to spend twice as much just for the touch. You can map any button from the original controller into any of the harmony's home control buttons. I recommend it a 100%. Pure magic!

I bought this to use with Alexa and so far it has been working well. The control itself works well and is easy to use. For Alexa, I only can control the tv to be on and off. I am still learning to try other functions. AR works okay.

I absolutely love this remote! Using the smart hub is so simple and makes using my whole entertainment system with just one remote a breeze. Having the physical remote is great for day to day use and having the app on our phones is great if there is ever an issue or I need access to advanced functions. Couldn't ask for a better option to meet my needs. Extremely satisfied with this product!

The Harmony Remote has really simplified our home theater experience. We previously need multiple remotes because our supposedly universal remote wouldn’t recognize all of our electronics. Our new Harmony Remote easily handles our Insignia tv, Roku, Blue-Ray DVD, cable box, and receiver. It even coordinates the appropriate home theater sound depending on what we’re watching. The fact that our I-Phones are synced with our Harmony Remote so we can use our phones to control our home theater is a bonus we weren’t expecting!

We upgraded our remote from a Harmony Ultimate One to the screen less Harmony Home. Our house consists of the Philips Hue lighting, a Vizio big screen, Sony Blu Ray and 7.2 receiver, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and Nest thermostat. With this one control we can perform all the basic functions we need. For anything more extreme we can use the smart phone app. This is the major improvement for our needs vs Ultimate One is the lack of a screen on the remote. While this looks cool and "sexy", it turned out to be a major hindrance. Forget to put the remote on the charger? Dead battery. Accidentally bump the touchscreen while watching tv? You could end up switching activities and powering on/off multiple devices. With the Harmony Home, this simply doesn't happen. You can "feel around" for the right button. The button cell battery lasts a long time and is easily user replaceable. Overall I am very satisfied with our purchase, and even though it is lacking the on remote touch screen, I find it to be a great upgrade from the Harmony One Ultimate.

I'm a long-time user of Harmony remotes. They are outstanding to take the frustration out of controlling all of my home theatre and audio components, and to get rid of the clutter of remotes. I upgraded to the Harmony Hub so I could control my new Amazon Echo Dot and Philips Hue lights. One thing about Harmony products is they are SO easy to configure! You just select the brand and model of component you have, which inputs they use, and the "activities" you want ("Watch TV," "Watch a movie," "Listen to music," etc.) Since I was upgrading from another Harmony remote, all of my settings flowed across directly to this new one, so the setup was super-simple and took just a couple of minutes. But ...I had difficulty getting the remote to control my Tivo. In fact, it WOULDN'T control it at all. I went through most of the troubleshooting tips described on the Harmony website, but nothing worked. Finally, I logged a question on their user forum. In less than 1 hour, a Harmony service rep had responded to my post with more steps to try. It turns out this remote speaks 7 "languages" of IR (what's used to send the signals to the Hub to control your devices). I had reset/repaired the remote 3 times, not realizing there were 7 possible combinations. When I reset/repaired the 4th time, it worked. Persistence pays! Aside from that annoyance, the only other thing I don't like on this remote is the configuration of the buttons. This is probably a bigger issue to me because I'm used to having a Harmony remote with a built-in screen and "Help" menu button. This remote doesn't have a screen - just physical buttons. That makes the remote itself a little less configurable/flexible. However, the smartphone/tablet app provides all of those capabilities. Just not quite as handy as the onboard the remote. Now, when I press "Watch a movie," my BluRay player and TV come on and change to the correct inputs, and my Hue lights dim. Even better, I can say, "Alexa, tell Harmony to watch a movie," and all of that happens WITHOUT me having to touch the remote! So cool!

    Great product, with one flaw

once its set up, this thing is amazing! turn on everything you need for watching tv, playing games, listening to music... whatever! with one click on the remote! then turn everything off again with a single click as well! my wife was very skeptical of another universal remote, but she instantly fell in love with it when she saw there were no more dumb device buttons. the flaw... and this is a big one. its a PAIN to set up! the desktop UI is the worst ive ever seen and the app isnt much better. finding and programming the thing feels like witchcraft since it connects sometimes and not other times. on the bright side, we dont change out our AV components very often, so i take care of the programming from time to time.

The Harmony Home Control is great but with some odd limitations. Although it controls a number of devices some useful keys, such as the home control keys, are limited to only a handful of specific devices. For example I would have like to assign those keys to always control the lights in the room. However, although the hub can see and control the lights in the room, those keys can only be assigned to certain devices, such as a Lutron bridge, or NEST thermostat, as opposed to able to arbitrarily assigned them to some function of some device.

Bought the Harmony Remote Companion to replace my Harmony Remote 880 (which still worked, but getting harder to recharge after 10+ years). The Logitech remotes are relatively easy to set up, with intuitive software, and very easy to use once they are setup.

Good remote if you truly need the home functionality it provides, other wise go with the smart control for less money. It can get out of sync from time to time if you try to do too much at once, but as long as you give it time to process it's activity all will be good. It also doesn't work with the Logitech Smart Keyboard, so I returned the Home control hub and remote for the Smart control Hub and remote which do work with the smart keyboard. I also don't need to control home functions like lights and outlets, so why pay the extra money?

I bought this harmony remote to control a samsung smart tv, a verizon set top box and a yamaha receiver. it will do all that fairly easy. The one problem I've had is my tv is in a different room than the other components. So when I put the hub in the room with the receiver and the set top box I have to turn the tv on with the remote that came with it. The IR extender is not long enough to go from the hub to the tv. I tried a fix I saw on the internet using a 25 foot mono price cable but that didn't work. I think that is too far for the signal to travel. I think I am going to try taking off some of the wire length and then splicing it as I don't the full 25 feet. if someone has another idea I would appreciate that you please add a coment.

I was using 3 remotes, one for the TV, one for my Tivo, and one for my Roku. Nobody that visited our house could ever manage to work the remotes, and even for my wife and me, it was a pain. Plus having three remotes always sitting out was also not great. Now we have one remote, it has a great feel - and it does everything we need.

We had a Harmony 900 for over 8 years which gave out after being dropped too many times. To replace it, we bought a Harmony Elite which we returned because it did not function like the old Harmony 900 close enough. The Harmony Companion is easy to set up provided that the name and MODEL NUMBERS of all the devices that are to be controlled by this device are collected before setup is started. A setup program must be downloaded from Logitech to either a PC or a smart phone. In MY OPINION, the PC setup is easier. There are three main differences between the Elite and the Companion. The Elite has a rechargeable batteries, has a small color touch screen and the buttons are backlit. The Companion is powered by an easily replaceable "coin" battery that should last about a year, does not have a screen of any kind and has a physical numeric key pad on the unit instead of a touch screen keypad. Both the Elite and the Companion have a smart phone app which can function as an alternate remote.

I've always loved my Logitech remote. A while back Best Buy and Logitech had a deal to bring in your current logitectremote and get money towards a new remote. I've been looking forward to using the hub with my iPhone's and iPad. I already had my home theater system set-up on their website and with my Mac computer it worked great! I had to spend a few mins with Logitech on the phone to get it all working, but it works great now. It was not working well at all, until I read that if you are using an XboxOne as a Home Theater Hub then you need to place the IR emitter right in front of the Xbone. Then everything worked perfectly. I've lost my white remote 2-5 times and never carded because I always have my phone on me. Things to think about: 1. Might have to do the sync and set-up closer to your wifi router if your home theater and hub is located critter away from your wifi. 2. They've fixed the issues they had with Mac computers. 3. This version will be so much more than just your home theater, but a whole house automation hub if you start buying things like Phillips Huelight bulbs, Nest thermostat, etc...

I've had a number of Logitech remotes all of which worked really well. I needed a new one for a mix of devices so this is my first with the Companion hub. The online configuration and setup was much more frustrating than usual - config download to the hub and the remote took multiple tries - but once successful they've worked great.

This is the second Logitech Harmony control purchased for my home use. Set-up was simple, straightforward and effective. This one does require battery replacement while the other one uses a rechargeable unit with a charging base. Also there is no screen on this remote as with the other unit. However, cost was considerably less for this unit. The part I like best about both of these is that it enables me to place the amplifier and DVD player in another adjoining room, out of sight of the TV, making for a much neater installation.

With the included IR Blaster this Harmony remote makes controlling all the equipment in our living room as simple as you could ever get. There was a small learning curve to figuring out that, with the included remote, there is a difference between a short press and a long press. Once I figured out you could program each separately, I had all kinds of cool things the remote can do. The only disappointment is the Android, and I suppose the iOS, app. The app looks nothing like the standard Harmony remote setup and cannot be reconfigured to move buttons around or add missing ones from the screen. One nice thing about the app is the "touch interface" where swiping up or down or tapping controls volume or pausing the DVR. You do need the phone app to configure the Hub and setup your devices and the app does a great job at helping you do that. Just wish Logitech would improve the actual interface and make it look like the physical remote. If you are looking for a step up from your current remote, this is a great one and a great price.

Brilliant remote. Programming via smartphone puts it in a class of its own. Much more than that though. Remote is RF, so no pointing required. The remote also has a nice feel, and a wonderfully simple layout. I don't control any home devices with it, but it's more than worth it just for the way it works with my entertainment system. My set-up uses smart TV, cable box, home theater receiver, Blu-Ray player, and media player. I never use less than three components at one time, so an activity based remote is a must. I traded in my Harmony 650 to get a discount on this model. I thought the 650 was the most brilliant remote I'd ever encountered, but this is well beyond.

It was getting on my nerves having so many remotes lying around. I needed one remote for everything. I knew a Harmony remote was where I wanted to go with my purchase. I love this home system!
