It's comfy, it's cost is good/fair, its stylish, and the sound quality is perfect.
I've owned these for a few months now and they have worked every single time, even after hours and hours of use non stop.
the mic quality is great, excellent even. I've never had to raise my voice once to use it, and I'm a fairly soft talker.
Most importantly, it is comfy. It doesn't squeeze my head tightly but its not so loose i cant head bang; fits perfectly.

Does it work with Logitech Surround Sound? Kind of...it cuts out during games/online chat, but that is a glitch that won't get fixed any time soon according to all accounts on Logitech's support forums and the Internet. The simple solution is to use a Razer surround sound software. It still cuts out on connecting to a new game, but not nearly as annoying. The headset is relatively light weight. The construction seems solid. The sound and mic pickup is sufficient. No you won't get exceptional detailed sound quality, but you aren't paying $300+ either.

i got it on sale for 40 bucks... i checked the reviews before i bought it too, and they said it was a great buy... and well... after trying it out for myself... i love it... although i did have to work through a few kinks tho for set up... it was overall easy to set up but it did make me scratch my head a few times... Firstly, you must install the set up files, this happens automatically when you plug it in... either it will tell you to install right now... or download the software from online and then install... but updating was the hard part... now you can update the computer software and also update the headset firmware that is on the headset... i updated both and then it stopped working... its probably bc after you update the firmware on the headset, the software from the computer wont recognize it anymore, so in order to fix this... i had to re-install the software... then everything worked out fine and i enjoyed it... most software and firmware dont have this problem... this was the only problem i saw with it, but it was minor... the headset has great quality sound, fits snugly and comfortable, and is also durable...

It works great, I can hear through it great, it smells great, I like the color, the mic bends so I can speak into it, it has a long cord which helps if I'm speaking to people on the computer from a different room, it makes me feel safe while playing, it made me popular at school, all my friends are jealous, but the only con is that once I put it on I don't want to take it off because the insides are soft. 10/10

Headset is very comfortable with large earcups. I can wear for long periods of time with no discomfort.
Love the braided cord, resists tangling.
The USB dongle is nice, and when used with the Logitech Gaming Software, gives you an amazing amount of audio adjustment, and the surround sound works good to, love watching movies with it.
Decent sound isolation if that is important to you.

These are decent option for little money. They sound great and seem to work well. Very comfortable even for long sessions. However they do not feel solid or durable. Very light and made of plastic. I'm sure they will crack somewhere eventually. I own a pair of Audio Technica ATH-mx50 that I keep at work. I should have spent $10 more to get the antlion mod-mic and I'd just have to transport the headphones to and from home. But $40 for these are not bad for the convienience of having decent sounding headphones at home. The cord is really long though you can bind up the excess. Overall I'm happy with purchase. I don't expect them to last long so if you take care of your stuff and don't rage while gaming and throw them, they should last long enough to get your money's worth.

I got a great deal on these headphones recently at BB. I use them entirely for gaming (LOTS of Overwatch) and mostly for the mic. The headphones are comfortable and easy to adjust, though they can press a bit tight sometimes. I wear glasses to play and if I've been playing for a while it gets a little sore where they rub against the end of the glasses.
The mic itself is super-sensitive--picks up everything, but can be toggled on and off through a switch on the headphone line in. It's a VERY long cord (which is nice)--it's plug-and-play with Windows 10, and should open up your audio controls as soon as you've plugged them in. They sound really good as well, with directional noises easy to pick up on while playing.
For the price these are really good headphones.

Really comfortable headphones. The kids love these and can wear them without them feeling heavy or too tight. The audio quality is really good as well and the microphone is great. Good headphones for the price as we caught them on sale.

What a difference these bad boys made!
I went from some sony studio headsets to these.
You must have the little dongle plugged in to get the pseudo 7.1. It does a good job at simulating the surround sound. Games like FPS Counter strike go are now more fun to play! I can tell where the steps come from....
Overall, this is a GEM for $40. Keep an ear to the cyber ground and pick these bad boys when they go on sale, won't regreat it.

My boy asked for these at Christmas and he has fallen in love with them. He actually got the wireless ones as well and chose to stay with this wired headset. This is a guy who usually goes through a headphone cord every two weeks. One earpiece always quits. This one keeps going.
He loves the sound and plays online with his friends multiple times a week, without a complaint. I believe this to be one of our Best Buy(s) this year!

This is my second set of G430's. I had about 1500 hrs on my first set, which were quite dirty and showing some age. The only issue I had with my first set was the in-line volume adjustment became a little flaky after a while. That said, not enough to deter me from buying another pair, great sound and great product for the price.

I use these when playing Overwatch and I want to talk to other players. I have tried many headphones for this and these so far are my favorite. They are NOT wireless but the cord is very long so it's not a big deal. However make sure you UPGRADE the firmware for these when you get them otherwise the mic input sounds HORRID when connecting with the USB soundcard that comes with these. In reality you'd be upgrading the soundcard's firmware which is recognized by the PC as the name of the headphones. The usb soundcard/adapter connects to your USB port on your PC and has 2 3.5mm jacks, one for the mic of the headphones and the other for the sound. If you don't want to upgrade the firmware to fix the issue with the mic just plug the mic cable into the PC's 3.5mm mic input jack instead of the one on the USB adapter/soundcard. I only wish that they made these so that the mic is muted when you put up the mic boom, however they have an inline volume control with a mic mute button on it. Over all very pleased and I got these on a great sale!

I do a lot of gaming so I was looking for a comfortable, affordable pair of headphones that wouldn't cause my ears to sweat and that I could still get some decent sound out of. These really hit the mark. They've got great noise cancelling, surround sound, a comfortable fit, and you can hear a pin drop from your enemy.

I broke my headset recently and i was looking to buy one that was not too much money but still had great sound quality. To my finding after looking into this headset, it had surround sound built into it. Just only 1 day with these headsets at home in gaming i fell completely in love with it. For its price, it well worth it. The headset is comfortable and i have no had any issues with it at all.

First off I want to say if you're on a low budget and are still looking for something worth the value, then this would be a good option for you. I myself am an average gamer, I always needed a headset just to hear and enjoy the sound quality in games but I never got around to finding the headset I wanted or could afford until the Logitechs. I managed to get these on sale and I'm sure they will go on sale again eventually just to point that out first.
Now to finally get to the review of the headset. Overall my simple summary would be that it satisfies the user in just about what he would want or need in a gaming headset. Thanks to the rich Dolby surround sound not only do they transmit every single detail smoothly but they're also good for general uses like watching media. You can adjust and play with the sound settings with Logitechs own sound mixer software and also adjust the quality in the Dolby surround features. Long story short if you want a headset that can help you hear when a player creeps up behind you well this does the job, and it does it well. The microphone is also good but honestly I haven't gotten around to using or needing it. If you want perfect or great microphone quality though then look elsewhere because I'm sure most would be disappointed. It's ok for what it is though, the headset is more focused towards sound quality however and it's done a great job.

I have been a big fan of plaintronics headsets due to the low cost. After too many broken ear pieces that were unrepairable less duct-tape, i splurged on the 430s and couldnt be happier.
Great sound with braided cord---wow cord is long !! I love it.
These are over the ear headset. Hair imprint is inevitable. little snug at first but can be managed. Red wouldve been cool.

Certainly not the cheapest one can find, but I've been using this set for many weeks now (hours at a time). They are very comfortable; they keep out environmental noise pretty well given their size and their lack of active noise cancellation; and they seem to produce decent audio. I've found myself using them outside of gaming to listen to music casually (e.g. while working).
