I purchased this keyboard after returning one that was sold to me but didn't fit my tablet. With this one, that was not a problem. The groove that holds the devices is pretty wide. I love the fact that it allows you to connect to 3 different devices. I have only used it with 2, my Samsung tablet and Samsung mobile phone; but don't foresee a problem with adding a 3rd. What I didn't care for was the bulky size. It's pretty thick to be a portable keyboard. I had to purchase a bigger sleeve to house both my tablet and the keyboard. I also wish they had found a way to incorporate a flip cover for it.

Heavy enough you wouldn't want to pack it around but for using "any" tablet at the desk that supports Bluetooth, it does the job nicely. I have it setup for my iPad, my Lenovo Miix 2 8, and my desktop computer with the three way switching. No pairing and un-pairing needed, just turn the switch once setup. Don't know how much range this thing has but it's pairing with my desktop thru a real oak desk. Liked this enough, I bought another one for my wife's iPad, except she wanted the white version.

I needed a new keyboard for my desktop and of course went to my local Best Buy. As I was pawing through the keyboard section I came upon the Logitech K480 bluetooth keyboard. As I examined the box I saw it wasn't what I was looking for, but, always a but, it looked interesting. Let me explain. The K480 is a half-size, Bluetooth keyboard. Full size keys, but no number keypad or direction keys. Home, end, up, down etc. It has a 3-way selector switch to choose which of 3 devices you wish to use it with. You would do the setup once and then just choose the device you need. It will connect to Android, Chrome, Windows, iOS, and MacOS operating systems. I have used it on Windows, Android and iOS. Anyway, you know how "easy" it is to set up most devices like this. Well this ain't that one. You select the device number on the keyboard. Any unused number. Then Bluetooth pairing on the device and then press and hold a button on the keyboard. There is one for Apple systems and one for the others. Ten or fifteen seconds later you are connected. That's it. You want to use the keyboard, you turn it on and select the device on the 3-way. You're connected. I use it when texting on my Galaxy phone and on my tablet. A lot easier than the built in keys. Would I buy it again? I did, for my girlfriend to use on her iPhone and iPad. She loves it. It will run both Android and iOS on the same keyboard. Just move the selector to the appropriate number after the setup. All in all a device that works exactly as it claims and is as easy to setup as it claims. Such a concept.

Great keyboard for the price! The bluetooth is easy to set up and transfer between devices - I like that i can put my iPad in the slot and easily toggle between my computer and iPad while working. Keys are closer together than a normal keyboard, so it takes a little time to adjust your typing. Also, they keys make that cool clicking noise! (Which I like, but if you are easily annoyed by loud keys, probably not for you). The only downfall is I didn't realize how annoying it would be to go without a number pad - so will likely upgrade to one that has it the next time.

Nice keyboard but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something ultra slim and lightweight and this one is a little heavier than I wanted. I like to travel with a backpack so I want my load to be super light. Otherwise, great keyboard.

Great idea to have it set up to easily and automatically connect with a device that has been set up and stored in memory, then to switch between devices. Lightweight, good size keyboard but does not come with a cover or case to help keep clean and safe. I found the keyboard was just too big for ease of transport so I returned it before using when I found a new compact size unit from Logitech that fits in my tablet case for storage and transporting.

The idea of this keyboard is awesome. I love it. The implementation is bleh. It connects easily and switches between devices almost instantaneously so using it is really nice but the keys are mushy and the keyboard is heavy! This keyboard was gonna be a travel companion of mine but that weight just feels so unnecessary. Especially when I know Logitech can and has made many keyboards that are so much lighter than this one for a fraction of the price. I doubt a Bluetooth module, switcher and built in stand (which is just a slot) would make this keyboard that heavy.

Super easy setup with both my Asus Zenpad 3S 10 and my Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. The typing is clear and crisp, and I really appreciate the fact that the keys are not dead or soft touch. On my home computer I use and mechanical keyboard, and when I try using the flat or soft keys I spend all of my time on the backspace key. It took no time to get used to the keyboard because the key layout is exactly the same as my Tesla keyboard, except for the arrow and start keys. The slot holds both the tablet and phone with my cases and glass covers, but when I put my S8 Active in its Supcase Beetle Unicorn case, then it is too thick. Not a problem as I will rest it on the tablet since I'm not ever taking the phone out of the case. I am obviously different than many on here because I love the solid feel and weight of the keyboard. It is not going to be knocked over by the idiot in front of me while they are performing gymnastics in their seat while I have my tray table down. I've ordered the carry case for the keyboard, which will also hold my tablet and charger. If I have any gripe, and I'm not certain this is even a gripe, is that it is so deep front to back. I wonder if they could take away the 1" bezel along the back and make it a little less deep. A majority of the depth comes from the notch for your BT device, so it is expected. Currently, the extra depth is where the batteries are housed, so if they could move the batteries between the notch and the top row of keys this would be a 5 Star+ buy over my current rating of 5 stars. Landscape or portrait depends on your application, not the keyboard.

Great that it works with iPhone/Android phones, tablets, PC & Macs. Nice slot to hold tablet or phone (but only if thin and not in a case). Only downfall is that it is big and clunky. Not too bad for the price though. I bought it for a LG G Pad 8.0 offered free through my telephone carrier as it was one of the few Bluetooth keyboards available for this tablet. I also use it with my iPhone 6 and my MacBook Pro. It's not as nice as the Surface keyboards, or some for the iPad Air2 and the like, but it serves it's purpose.

I orinally had a built in keypad attached to my iPad folio. It was not comfortable and only added excessive weight. Especially since I do not use it often enough to justify carrying a heavy folio around. This is the perfect solution. Lightweight and feels like a normal sized keypad . Very comfortable to use and a breeze to set up when needed.

Pros: -Full size keyboard besides the lack of number pad and the arrow keys being squeezed under the left Shift key -Can switch between three paired devices very quickly -Works with Windows, Android, and iOS -Keyboard keeps phones and tables in place and at a good viewing angle in the slot. -Feels sturdy and has a nice weight to keep it from falling with larger devices -Rubber pads underneath to keep it from slipping -Letter, number, Backspace, Shift, and Enter keys have a concave shape that feels nice -Function keys have nice uses on each OS Cons: -No number pad -Can't figure out how to line break with it -Can't fit tablets or phones with thick cases into the slot Other: -This black version is all matte besides the yellow/green rubber. The white version is glossy on top besides the gray rubber parts and the keys.

A nice little keyboard. I got it for the bluetooth feature for a lot of typing on my phone when I'm home. It can also be paired with a bluetooth capable TV. Saves a lot of correcting from the annoying auto-fill when typing on my android phone. Only negative might be that my Note 5 doesn't fit in the stand-up channel with its Otterbox Defender case. I got the keyboard on sale and price matched it with Amazon. Not a top of the line keyboard, but not bad for the sale price and match.

I got this as a gift a few months ago and I love it! I use it for typing on my IPhone and Kindle. You can connect it to 3 devices that have Bluetooth and then you don’t have to reconnect it when you use it. I just switch it on, set my device in it, and then I can type emails and texts on the keyboard. I was getting nerve problems in my hand from typing on my iPhone all the time and this keyboard helps give my thumb and wrist a rest.

I was looking for a keyboard that could easily switch between devices. I've been using a Microsoft BT keyboard for years, and I still love it, but it's a pain to re-pair every time I want to use it on a different device. Enter the Logitech K480. This keyboard switches easily between devices, and the slot is handy for when you need to stand your phone or tablet up. My biggest complaint is the way that typing feels on this keyboard. The keys are a good size, but the way they travel just doesn't lend itself to fast touch typing. It's not horrible, and I know I'll get used to it, but it's just not great. In addition to the feel, it's a bit loud, and sounds cheap. Also keep in mind that this keyboard isn't a great traveling option, if you're carrying it around. It's heavy, as it needs to be in order to not topple over when you're using it to prop up your tablet. This is better for a desk setup where you have multiple devices and just want to have a single keyboard. In that case, it will probably work well for you, provided you don't mind the drawbacks I mentioned. For a better traveling keyboard, get the Logitech Keys to Go keyboard. That one is very thin and light, and surprisingly, typing on it feels pretty good. I love that keyboard!

This keyboard is a pretty nice product. It looks nice and is very easy for people to use it even for the first time. However, it has three major shortages: 1. the size for the keyboard is pretty big, need a laptop case to carry it, and it is also a little bit heavy; 2. the sound when you are typing is loud, it may not suitable to use in the classroom or somewhere quite; 3. the keyboard use batteries for power, so you will not know when the electricity will run out.

Great Bluetooth Keyboard, ... But ...

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

PREFACE : I swear by Logitech "computer" accessories! - ALL of my "mice" (wireless AND cord-connected), and all my desktop speaker systems are Logitech products. ... Logitech designs, manufactures AND supports truly high-quality accessories, and they sell them at REALLY reasonable prices through many highly reputable sources! UTILITARIAN (YET ELEGANT) DESIGN CHARACTERISTICS : This k480 Bluetooth Multidevice Keyboard IS NO EXCEPTION to my previous statement. - I purchased it to accompany my Digiland DL808W 8" Windows 10 Tablet. I have my Digiland tablet in a Thermoplastic Polyurethane "Gel Shell" Case/Cover (flexible, full-surround "rubber" protector) AND IT STILL FITS in the "stand-up" (molded "rubber") device slot (10 & 5/8" long by 7/16" wide by 1/2" deep) built into this keyboard's case. I am quite sure that this slot will fit ANY "naked" smart phone (or 2, vertically) or tablet made by Apple or Samsung, among others (although a large tablet may have to be turned vertically). ... The "stand-up" device slot IS a true stroke of design genius, and just the kind of thoughtful design element that I have come to expect from Logitech. However, there is a price to pay for the nifty "stand-up" device slot: This keyboard is QUITE heavy - 1 pound, 12 and half ounces with batteries. - There IS a reason why this portable, wireless keyboard has to be so heavy though: Its weight provides plenty of "counter-balance" for even the heaviest 10 inch tablets, when it is sitting flat on a table or desk top. A stiff gust of wind is not going to up-end this keyboard when it is cradling your iPad. Initially I thought its heft was a detractor, until I put my 10 inch tablet in the slot ... the counter weighting REALLY DOES ADD TO ITS STABILITY! EASY OPERABILITY FOR HUMANS AND "GEEKS" : This keyboard "PAIRS" EASILY with up to three separate Bluetooth-capable devices and the rotating "selector" switch makes changing the keyboard's connection between your three devices nearly infallible. - I have it paired with my Digiland 8" tablet, my ASUS 10.1" Transformer Book 2-in-1 and my Lenovo 15.6" G50 series laptop. It works really well with all three of them, and it allows me to lie in bed and type from across the room while my computer remains on the desk attached to all my storage devices, modem connections and printers. (Yes, I do have my computer hooked up to my TV with an HDMI cable.) ... Operating range for this keyboard is supposed to be up to 30 feet away (more or less) from its "receiving" device. I haven't tried it at much more than 15 to 20 feet away, but it worked just fine at these distances! The keys on this keyboard are light and responsive, and yet, they do deliver positive feedback for the reasonably adept "touch" typist and more than ample responsiveness and feedback for the "hunt-and-peck" typist as well. It is not much harder to get used to typing with than most modern compact laptops or netbooks. - If you can type 120 WPM on an IBM Selectric, you are going to be lucky to do nearly that speed on this, or any other "compact" keyboard that you can put in a medium-sized messenger bag. MY "COUCHED" COMPLAINTS : The battery "door"/retainer cover seems really loose and only has two very small retainer "hooks"/teeth to hold it in its slot. I find myself wanting to reach for a strip of adhesive tape to help hold it in the position where it is supposed to "latch". - I am using Duracell Quantum (with "Powerlock") batteries, so hopefully I won't have to mess with this battery retainer cover for at least 12 months (or maybe as many as 24 months), because I AM really disciplined about switching my devices off if I'm not going to be using them for more than a couple days. This complaint (born from years of aggravation) applies to this keyboard AND nearly all my Logitech mice (but NOT their desktop speaker systems). - The On/Off switch on this keyboard really seems like a cheap, "satisficed" after-thought: #1) It is a REALLY small tab of plastic; it is a completely smooth button without even having their usual small, nearly undetectable ridge on it. They could have molded in a set of deep ridges across the whole exposed surface of the switch or maybe a small round knob like a small male Lego block connector. #2) Even if this switch had a better, more tactile surface, it is still REALLY loose and feels like it could be pushed into the "wrong" ("On" when you are trying to put it away, or "Off" when you are jamming on a "stream of consciousness" document creation session) position with only the slightest brush of a finger or knuckle, etc. - This "wibbly-wobbly" switch complaint is especially glaring when there are two other switches on this keyboard that are solid, strong, and positively responsive with the physical reactivity that you expect from a device that is meant to last for years upon years of regular use. In Logitech's defense: After a dozen years of experience with Logitech accessories, I have NEVER had a power switch FAIL OUTRIGHT. Although, I have had several mouse (mostly left) buttons become "sticky" or barely responsive to normal finger pressure. However, this was AFTER 5 years (or more) of daily use. I'm sure that as careful as I am with ALL of my electronic equipment, I will be using this Logitech k480 Bluetooth Multidevice Keyboard HAPPILY for many years to come!
