Customers are impressed with the Performance Mouse MX's long battery life, comfortable ergonomics, and ease of use. Many appreciate its ability to work on various surfaces and its accurate tracking. While some find the price a bit high and the scroll wheel could be improved, the overall user experience is positive. The mouse's weight is also a point of contention for some users.

My trusty Logitech M705 Marathon mouse started having a problem with left click. So it was time to replace it.
This mouse looks good. But it is almost one inch longer than M705. I have medium sized hands. They are too far away from the front edge of the mouse. So each click takes a bit of extra pressure. It is also noticeably heavier - my hand muscles are a bit sore as I am a heavy user. I think this is because of the Darkfield technology.
They need to offer a mouse with the same old technology and rechargeable battery in the same smaller form factor.

I use the Performance MX with my MacBook Pro and my MacBook Air. It fits my hand well, although I do have large hands. If you have very small hands you may not have a great experience. It is a fairly large device, so if you are looking for small and portable, look elsewhere. The mouse has several programmable options/buttons. I like being able to set some of my Mac options to a specific button (e. g., Launchpad), and I really like the incredibly fast scroll wheel which doubles as a left/right scroll button. A full charge allows the mouse to be used for 8-10 hours a day for about 7 days. The mouse does take up a USB port since it uses a Logitech Unifying device. The only thing that could make this device better IMO is Bluetooth, but that may be a technical limitation.

I really like this mouse. It is responsive and accurate. It feels comfortable in my hand and doesn't get uncomfortable after hours of use. I like how "grippy" it is. The button action is very smooth and require little effort to push. I like the convenience of programmable thumb and side buttons.
The only issue I have with the mouse, is that it isn't as accurate on certain surfaces. But that's because I'm coming from an "anywhere" mouse, so take that into account.

I bought the Logitech MX Performance Mouse to replace a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer mouse that had buttons that were wearing out. I was looking for a full-sized wireless mouse suitable for use with a desktop PC, that would fit comfortably in my hand.
My 11-year old son commented right away how smooth and precise the mouse pointer movement was when navigating web sites.
The wireless USB dongle is tiny and unobtrusive.
The mouse comes with a rechargeable battery. To recharge, simply plug the mouse in to the computer via the included USB cable. You can continue to use the mouse while it's charging.
The price was higher than most of the other mice in Best Buy's selection, but it was well worth the money.

After constant problems with my 8 month old HP Laptop's touchpad not working properly and HP's numerous and unsuccessful attempts to fix the touchpad, I finally decided to try a mouse before replacing the laptop. I am so glad I did because this Logitech mouse has worked flawlessly. The shape of the mouse fits my hand quite comfortably and I have had zero problems with using it. The mouse not only saved me from replacing my laptop, but I also find that it works much better than the touchpads on my prior laptops. It has a rechargeable battery so I just need to plug it in to one of my laptop's USB ports with the included cable when the battery is depleted and, if need be, I can still use the mouse while it is charging. The battery takes the better part of a month of all day use 5 days a week before it has needed charging. This mouse was well worth what I paid for it, particularly since I bought it on sale for about 50% off.

This is the best mouse I have used to date. My hand fits around it perfectly and I love the forward/back button features on the side. The battery is rechargeable which is great and it has a long battery life. No complaints.

This is the second Logitech mouse that I have purchased for my computers. I use it with the companion wireless keyboard with back lit keys. The wireless reciever that plugs into a USB port can be used for both the mouse and the keyboard at the same time. The mouse is very comfortable and fits my hand in a natural position. All of the buttons and control wheels are in the correct place for easy scrolling. The mouse can be programed to perform functions for program applications. What's not to like?

The performance mouse is simply perfect. It's my second one - I've had the first for about four years and the left mouse button started to give inconsistent results, so I opted to replace it and Best Buy had it on sale. It's got the programmable buttons you want, it works anywhere smoothly without fail, and it fits my hand perfectly. No fuss, no drama. It uses a standard micro-USB charger to charge up (and gives you plenty of warning when you need to do so).

I purchased this mouse for everyday use. It fits my hand perfectly and I don't feel any strain in my wrist. This thing glides well, it's wireless and I haven't had any issues with it disconnecting and I like that it has a USB cable to charge from. I like the way it feels and it seems like it is built to last. I've only been using this mouse for a little over a month but in this time, I have to say it's the best mouse I've ever purchased.

This is one of the best mice I've used. It' "feels" good (i.e., has the right amount of heft to it) and works very well. And, I love that it's rechargeable (though it does need to be recharged more often than other mice I've had would use up AA batteries).
My only real complaint is that the scroll wheel can be a bit over-sensitive and suddenly scroll way to far (or keep scrolling after I've removed my finger from it). That's a fairly small issue, but it is enough to prevent me giving this mouse 5 stars.

Very good mouse and good feel. Battery life is great and the indicator lets you know when you need to plug in. I switched from a Logitech G5 gaming mouse that had one too many beers spilled on it. This does not feel quite as nice, but I like that it's wireless. Only thing is you need to be aware of the button below the mouse wheel, if it's clicked, the wheel free spins and it will scroll as you move the mouse. So long as it's set to normal, it works like a normal wheel.

Every action works so smooth. I do a lot of photo editing and have always experienced hand fatigue after an hour or so. My hands are larger than normal but this mouse fits perfectly. The first charge lasted about 20 days which I find acceptable.

This mouse works flawlessly!! It reads on any surface so when I am traveling and the hotel has a glass table there is no need for a mouse pad. It is perfectly ergonomic for my hand which is important because of a severe hand injury that I got a few years ago. It has a bunch of programmable buttons and being rechargeable means that I don't have to keep batterys on hand

I got this mouse because I was looking for a good mouse for running professional animation software as well as image editing software. It was a great value, I particularly like the way it fits in my hand and that it is rechargeable. The only thing is that I wish it were Bluetooth, the USB dongle is small, but a little annoying on my laptop. Not a problem for desktop users though.

I've purchased two of these over the years as it's the best mouse I've ever used. The shape fits my hand snugly and I actually use the function buttons when browsing the web and to switch apps. The rechargeable battery is a plus, although my first held a charge for only two years. Although Logitech has a cool new line of mouse products I'll stick with the MX.

This mouse is great. Works well on any surface and is comfortable to hold for gaming and web design. My only issue with the mouse is it doesn't hold a charge for as long as advertised. That said, it's a rechargeable battery and you can use a standard microUSB cable to charge it while you're using it. Overall I'd recommend this product.

This is a great mouse. All the buttons arr programabe which makes work a breeze - just know that it requires software to be dowloaded to do so and IT at work may need to step in.
The rechargeable batteries make it really nice for the office so you don't need to worry about having spares laying around.

This mouse is excellent--it's responsive and charges quickly--it feels great in my hand. I downloaded the software for the mouse--the only issue is the back and forward button when I'm surfing --it doesn't always work-I'm hoping it's user error and that I will figure out what I'm doing wrong.
