I love this model! It is lightweight, easy to navigate and love the touch screen!!! The only thing to improve is the battery length, as it does not last too long while not plugged. Still, I love it!!!

Great Laptop - lightweight, fast processor, user friendly

We were looking for a computer for our daughter who is 10. We needed something for school and for fun. It served both purposes.

It's pretty easy to work. With the moon setting, it takes great shots of the moon!

Wonderful laptop for multitasking everything except playing heavy 3D games although it does transcode video quite well with Intel CPU this is a fantastic deal I got open box for $350 touch screen works great brightness is good battery lasts a solid 7 hours playing a video at 55% brightness and it comes with brand name solid state drive SanDisk brand I always like to look inside and see what products they put in Ram is made by Samsung as well would definitely recommend this.

This 8th gen i3 has been upgraded to feature both turbo and hyper-threading which was reserved for the i5 and i7 processors until now. Speed is likewise comparable to i5 and i7 as well. I was hesitant about the smallish 128gb SSD but it is lightning fast compared to the larger 5400rpm drives in most laptops nowadays and if there's a need for mass storage, there are two usb 3.0 ports for fast data transfer to an external drive. Start up is so fast it makes me think I was already logged on and it's coming out of sleep...and programs are immediately available to open without having to wait for all of the support programs to finish running. Any reservations I had about the smaller drive were completely unfounded, with all the options for data storage. As far as internet speed, I'm getting a solid 180mbps on the same service that my old laptop could barely squeak out 140mbps...almost 30% faster

This computer has so many cool things, it makes me smile, This is actually my 3rd one, I bought one for me, one for my wife and one for my son. I 100% dislike the one touch keypad. This is a horriale feature, The right and left click, seperated is way better. you can still double tap to open pages. But you are not accidently clicking on things all the time. Or changing your page sizes. This computer has a Intel Core processor, which is really fast, You will experience a lag when you originally set up your system, and/or when you clean it. This is due to removing or Loading application for the first time. After it loads its really fast. The laptop can support up to 20 pages open at a time, I would not recommend it, but you can do it. Opening more then that can considerably slow your system down. Keep in mind you have background tasks going on all the time, like your Firewall, or Norton, you have The Ability to make it what you want. Windows 11 is awesome. you start on the TRUE desktop page, and then have the option to click over to the WINDOWS page. For people that learned how to use computers on Windows 1 - 8 this is perfect for you. The downfall can be the Computer speakers. if you wanted loud music, this is not the laptop for you. But if you want to quietly listen to music with your speakers while playing facebook games, then you are good to go. it will not get so loud, that it will bother others. *on an exceptional note, if you use your laptop with headphones, it is a whole new experience, and I have not been able to increase the volume above 12, with headphones plugged in, for fear it will blow my eardrums out. The sound card is amazing, just not the external speakers. Not sure what else to say, I mean download a free version of Wordperfect, Instead of paying for Microsoft word, its basically the same thing. You can type at any speed and it will follow. easy to use applications, you get allot of cool systems. and its touch screen !! BAM! magic. So yeah, don't hesitate, this is the right laptop for you. Unless others I have had, that cost way more, this one is compatible with everything I want to do, its processor is amazing. Never been kicked from a game. No freezes on any of the 3 We have. And My Old one was Alieanware, before that Asus, before that Panisonic. All of them were Over $1000 - $8000 ea. This was going to be a temporary laptop While built a new one, but I love it so much, I just want to use it. This Laptop Rocks !

The HP 15-DA0012DX touchscreen laptop is a great deal for under $500. The solid state drive allows very fast start up and the Intel Core i3 processor with 8GB RAM has been enough power for word processing, e-mail, video conferencing, and basic audio-visual editing. The camera does a nice job in various lighting. I would recommend buying a stylus pen to get the most out of the touchscreen. My son bought a $1,000 Spectre with a 4K screen, and while that is more powerful, has much nicer graphics and sound, the actual operating of the two is very comparable under most daily conditions. The one problem I had was one key (the "k") was very sensitive and created a huge problem with any typing. I called HP (after normal hours for Best Buy) and HP wanted me to send in the entire computer. I called Best Buy the following day. They were very helpful diagnosing the possible problems and were willing to look at it, but were booked with service appointments that day. I took a risk and was able to pop the key off and re-attach it to fix the problem.

This computer was purchased for my freshmen high school student. Meets all needs for school. The 128 GB SSD allows for quick boot times and program launching. It is ok for light gaming, but nothing too demanding due to the integrated graphics. My kid plays SIMS 4 with ease. She doesn’t use the touchscreen much because she doesn’t like fingerprints, but said it is accurate works fine. She really likes how she can keep up multiple browser tabs without problems (the most tabs so far is 25). There was a small issue with sound being scratchy on some video playback off YouTube, but that issue seems to have gone away (maybe a driver update issue?) The only real drawback is there is not a storage drive to hold all her photos and videos, but an external drive is fairly inexpensive. We purchased the computer on sale for $449. 12 days later the sale price dropped another $50 to $399. Since I was still in the 15 day return period, I went back to the store for Best Buy’s price match guarantee. They refunded me the $50 difference plus the tax difference. Thank you Best Buy! $399 is a very good price for this computer! Even the full regular price of $499 is reasonable for what you get.

I've been eyeing this laptop for about a month and finally picked it up on sale for $399. I also used my $15 reward certificate to drop the price a little more and I couldn't be happier. Perfect specs for what I need it for and so far so good. Total bang for the buck. Thanks HP and Best Buy!

I purchased this laptop, specifically for school use. It replaced an older HP. I love the speed. Startup is amazing and switching through various tasks is seamless. The trade off of course is the storage. For me, the speed is what mattered the most. I purchased a portable external hard drive (1TB) for around $50, fixed the storage problem. This comes with a disc drive, not sure why, but I wanted that feature. This laptop is bigger than my previous one but it is very lightweight. My older one is heavier. Haven’t had an issue with it heating up, either, which is another plus. The speakers need to be turned up, almost all the way. But, the sound was not a feature that concerned me in anyway. The price for this laptop was perfect. I am very pleased with my purchase. I researched for months and months and this laptop was the greatest option for my budget and my needs. I highly recommend it to others.

I needed a laptop quickly and the young man that helped us was extremely knowledgeable and helped me make my decision. I am very happy with my new laptop easy to use like the touch screen as well on this computer . My last computer was a Toshiba with touch screen however i had several problems with it. The HP is easier to maneuver.

Two months ago, my wife's 9 year old laptop finally gave up the ghost. Took it to Geek Squad, and they confirmed that the motherboard had died. This HP laptop was on sale that week, and although I was a bit hesitant about the 128 GB SSD, I should not have been! It is perhaps one of the fastest laptops we have ever owned, and my wife just loves this laptop! Coming from Windows 7, it took her awhile to get acclimated to Windows 10, however, she would not go back now, and that Touch Screen is one of the features she likes the most. Overall, a great purchase, given the emergency situation I was in. Thank you Best Buy!

This was the "just right" fit for me in all categories. Affordable, fast, lightweight, easy to use, and has the features I need with plenty of room to add on as needed. I followed the Buyer's Guide on Best Buy and I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

I was looking to get a new laptop for personal use. We had a MacBook Air but it was dated and we had no more room on HD. The HP was a tremendous value and the touch screen was an unexpected treat. It was a bit quirky to setup initially, but we have loved the speed and power and ease of use.

I bought this for another family member and hoped it would work out ok. My only hesitation was the size of the hard drive, but for their purposes, it was big enough. Much faster than spinning disk drives and, hopefully, will go longer without giving problems. The touch screen works nicely. If you want a good computer at a reasonable price, and don’t need to store a ton of videos and pictures, I would highly recommend. If you do want to save a lot of media, you could just off load onto a flash drive or buy an inexpensive portable hard drive.
