Never second guess adding this to any and every tech purchase.
Case in point: we purchased a PS5 in August 2024 for my son's birthday. His controller is drifting bad.
Stopped into best buy, and they submitted the PlayStation warranty for me. We got to keep his old one and his new one will be delivered in 5 days or less. And while that comes standard for every PlayStation purchase, I didn't have to deal with submitting the warranty myself. And the next time it needs replaced (it will happen, PS5 controllers are notorious for drift stick) geek squad coverage will replace it.

I’m so glad we decided to purchase the 2-Year Accidental Geek Squad Protection plan—it has already proven to be worth every penny! A couple of days ago, my son’s PlayStation 5 HDMI port got bent, and we weren’t sure what to do. Luckily, with the protection plan, the process was incredibly simple.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about the 2-Year Accidental Geek Squad Protection plan. I got it when I bought my laptop, and it’s already been a lifesaver. I’m pretty clumsy, so I love knowing that if anything happens—like if I drop it or spill something on it—I don’t have to worry about paying for repairs. I had a small issue with my screen cracking, and the process to get it fixed was super smooth.
