I got this policy on my previous phone. I had my previous phone for about a year when it slipped out of my hand and hit a cement floor on one of the corners and cracked the screen making the phone inoperable. Best Buy had no phone to replace it so I got a credit for the full value of the phone as a final settlement. However, I was charged an $84.00 co-pay to start the replacement process on a separate credit card which I have yet to receive credit for since my phone was not replaced with a duplicate phone. I was told by Best Buy I may have to wait up to two billing cycles of my credit card statement to see my refund. If I don't see it then I have to call Best Buy to find out why.

Used this geek squad protection services on my newly bought computer after a large update screwed up the computer. They fixed it and for that i am grateful. Apparently it required a lot of system checks to figure out the problem. Unfortunately, they didn't communicate to me why it was taking more days than estimated to get my computer back to me. When i would call for a status check the person giving me the update wasn't the person fixing my computer. ( actually multiple people fixed my computer because one person would have a day off so another person would fix it, reading notes from the first person) This meant no person was actually in charge of fixing my computer. I needed one person to be the chief of the operation and to communicate the status to me. If that had occurred i would give this 5 stars. But, instead because it was taking so long to fix i contemplated going there and getting my broken computer back because i had lost trust in them and was actually wondering what they were doing with my computer (identity theft and other malicious thoughts were running through my mind). Thankfully, they didnt do anything malicious but their process had room for improvement. I guess i would cautiously recommend this to a friend. Where else are you going to get your home computer fixed?

One-year insurance is set at a reasonable price. It just makes sense. I've had to use it a couple times for a cracked screen, and the process is simple...but I knocked off a star because I still had to pay an additional $10 when replacing the phone. The employee explained that people were breaking phones on purpose to get new ones, so the fee is supposed to be a deterrent. Annoying.

This is a great protection plan although the price is still a little high. While I can understand that technology easy to fix some things that would be part of this plan do you like they could have given a lesser cost. I have yet had to use this plan but that's sad I still advise anyone with expensive technology to go ahead and get one

Most cell phones will not immediately show a problem, so I strongly recommend this plan. Since I purchased a phone for my mom, being that she is disabled and elderly, anything can happen. Protection also will cut the cost of repair for human related issues like, cracked screen, etc.. If you purchased a item for a gift, make sure it's protected, saves you from buying the same thing again.

I got this for a new cell phone I bought, and ended up using it right away. Somehow when installing my sim card something went wrong and it got stuck. We couldn't get it out, and fix it. The next day the store just swapped out for a new phone and put in the sim card for us. So glad I got the warranty.

Bought geek squad for my kids'phones. Havent needed to use it yet. Main downside is no lost or stolen protection. Main upside is this is way cheaper than a monthly insurance charge from sprint, verizon or other phone co. Also, good to have a store/person to bring repairs to instead of sending it via mail to be repaired. I have used geek squad protection to fix a computer. I was satisfied with their work on that, but it took too long and they didn't communicate well with me, which was frustrating. Maybe i would recommend this to a friend. I bought it for my kids phone because i figured they would crack their screen or damage it. If you are careful with your phone you might not bother with insurance for your phone.

I came to the store with a malfunctioning phone. Staff directed me to Geek squad where I received excellent service from a knowledge person. Instead of waiting for my phone replacement to be delivered to me I was able to get a new model in store. Extremely happy with Geek Squad service will continue to use it for all my best buy purchase

This phone is really amazing it runs very fast I will definitely say it is the best smartphone of the moment. It also has a very good camera and the screen is sooo bright and clear I can really talk about it all day. They also include the AKG earphone (very expensive) in the box. Bestbuy shipped the phone very fast.

I purchased the 2-year Accidental Geek Squad Protection 2 for my new Samsung Galaxy S7 Cell Phone. I am hoping I never have to use it but it does give me peace of mind. The only thing that I would want included is protection for loss or theft.

After a few years of experience and several mobile devices, I have com e to the conclusion that getting the protection plan for mobile devices is a great choice. I have used it on almost every one of my mobile devices, and it has paid for itself every time. I cna't recommend it enough for any mobile device.

I bought the geek squad because I was purchasing several large items at once and I thought it was a good deal. I will buy this every year from now on. Very happy with their installations and knowledge on everything I have needed them for.

Because I don't trust myself much with electronics, I always buy the Geek Squad coverage. Obviously, a cell phone NEEDS protection in case of anything accidental. Great price for the coverage and I trust Best Buy because of my past experience using warranties with them.

Peace of mind is price less. When you buy something expensive and specially if you carry that product with you, there is always a chance of accidental damage. Why not protect it with accidental damage warranty?

I bought this protection plan for Moto G4. After almost 1 year the phone started behaving strange. I went to Geek Squad and they asked me to send it through email to get exchange. But they did not have same phone so they gave me full credit back around $250

Anything important or expensive I need to buy, I do it at Best Buy so I can get the warranty with them. They've always taken care of me with many products over the years and I expect if there's any issues with my new phone they'll take care of me again.

My friends have told me about their protection plans from other stores, Best Buys plan is by far the best. Also, when my son's phone suddenly died, they looked up and saw the phone was still under warranty so used that before going into the protection plan!

Geek squad protection is always good to have for for electronic purchases. There is no comparison doe piece of mind when the price for the extra protection is not expensive.

I hate that you cannot take phones back anymore..You need to go thru Geek Squad and pay extra... Bad choice Best Buy!! We like the old way...Been with you for almost 28 yrs

Always purchase the insurance. You never know what will happen to your items. We bought insurance for a video game which I didn't know they had but is great with 3 boys in the house.
