I took the ancestry DNA test and was disappointed, it did not show the DNA I was told was in my family by my mother and a Doctor. I took the 23 and me test and it lined up with what my Mom had told me and the Doctor. Plus it showed some more DNA that I didn't know as there. It didn't take long to get the results, and the results just blew me away. Great DNA breakdown and pretty extensive. If I had to do this again I would have bought the 23& me test off the bat and not bothered with the Ancestry DNA test. You want a great breakdown on you DNA without any bias go with the 23 & me test.

I just got back my results on yesterday, I do see a family member on my DNA report. I highly suggest anyone to give this a try, and to remember it reports from other family members whether close or far that have taken it. You will be surprised and will probably help close some gaps in life suspicions of family members.

I already have Ancestry & have enjoyed exploring my roots. I decided to get 23andMe to find out more about the health traits of my ancestors so I might have some idea what I may expect in my life. I've learned so much from this organization. Some things are pretty funny & some things aren't but I feel better knowing.

I brought this for my daughter for Christmas. She's 20 and always been curious about her light eyes and skin tone. She found out the she mostly west African, European, and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember. But she was very happy with her results

Enables a person to see where their ancestors may be from. Not as precise as I would like but informative

My husband got this for me since I didn't know anything about my biological father. I also didn't know much about my mother's side of the family. I didn't know what my heritage was. The results were amazing. The things that I did know the kit was spot on and I also learned others I didn't know.

I got this kit for my mom and she loved the experience the results offered. It's fascinating to learn about the origins of your DNA.

I ordered this and got it delivered no issues. Sent in my saliva and got my results in 2 weeks!! I thought it would take longer. It came with clear instructions on how to ship your box to 23 and me and also instructions on online login and registration. Don't lose your code!

My wife and I have European relatives that immigrated to the US, some 100 years ago, some 400 years a go and one that was here to meet the others. It will see how our genetic histories tell us how much of what we are. We are awaiting results. Just spit and sit...and you will find out.

So I bought the kit just out of curiosity to see what countries my DNA is traced to. Surprisingly, the results were very accurate from what I know about my family. I even saw a second cousin that I don't personally know, but my family is friends with on Facebook. This kit should get 5 stars based solely on how much information it tells you, but I gave it 4 because of the confusion I had interpreting a lot of the data.

I actually bought these for two very dear friends who are curious about their ancestry. I had purchased these previously for my whole family last Christmas and we had such a fun time reading our results.Had some unexpected results, making it even more interesting. Highly recommend!

I did both 23&me and AncestryDNA. The testing is very similar but the results are slightly different. Made me feel assured that these type of DNA testing are legitimate. I am so hoping to discover my relatives.

The package is thoughtfully laid out. The results are speedy once you submit your dna specimen (saliva) to the lab. Being from Europe I decided to give 23andMe a run for its money. I chose not to disclose my demographic information, and ship my sample to the USA lab for processing to see if it would still show accuracy in my lineage. IT DID. In fact the results showed where my DNA is most common in down to the province I live in. It knew my DNA was from different continents and went so far into detail it was scary. Gave me good reassurance that I know where I am from. I’ve thought about going to purchase the health discovery add-on, but that is a can of worms better left unopened… for now.

Purchased this after I bought and performed the other DNA Test. This is much better than that one. It provides a lot more information. I would recommend to anyone who wants to find out more about where they came from.
