I've purchased Geek Squad Service on many of my electronics but never really need it until recently. I normally don’t write bad review, but this is the first for me. My son accidentally fell down and dented/bent his laptop, which purchased in March 2021 with 3 years Geek Squad production. We went to the local Bestbuy before Christmas to get it fix but got it send into the Repair Center. We just picked it up on Sunday (1/2/2022). Half the laptop still dented/bent while they "fixed" the LCD screen. We were shocked when they handed us the laptop (see pictures). The Bestbuy Geek Squad at Jersey City, NJ said the Repair Center fixed to make it “functional” and everything “checked out” while it still looked dented/bent. Just today (1/4/2022), my son started using the laptop and found out the track mouse is not working and the LCD they fixed ready to come off (see picture). An example I gave to the local support is that if my car get into an accident, they just need to use the hammer to pound this out and don’t finish the job. It is driveable, but looks like crap. This is getting ridiculous as my son will start new school semester in 2 weeks and the “new” repair might take longer than 2 weeks. This is unacceptable and I am trying to get this resolved, but no luck so far. This repair experience is really given me a bad taste of Geek Squad Service and even thinking of purchase anything from Bestbuy in the future, which I’ve purchased a lot of electronics from them.

This laptop (with this configuration) cost $1499 on sale. At that price you're getting a 1k 165hz display, 16:10 aspect ratio, good I/O ports, and an overall pleasant gaming and viewing experience. The few quirks it does have are the motherboard being inverted, so if you ever wish to use the extra M.2 slot and/or upgrade ram you will have to get your hands dirty and most likely void warranty. There are workarounds on this of course, such as using an external SSD connector, if the previous method isn't for you. Just arrived today, will edit review the more I use it but so far it has been a pleasure to use with the 8-core i7 and 3060.

Very good computer for a college student with architecture major

It's always good to have a protection plan for your computers and phone. Best Buy Geek Squad is good but not the best. First you need to get it and appointment just to bring it in, absolutely nothing can be fix when you come in which they use to do. Now you must leave your product and wait for a fix. Next you need to make another appointment to pick it up, which can take up to a week or more. They have nothing in their program that lets you know if they have a cancelation to get in earlier. So, getting anything fix could take at least a couple of weeks or More. I'm glad that everything is covered but not happy about getting in and out of repairs.

We noticed several small problems with the laptop we bought so we took it back to Best Buy! The Geek Squad member signed us up. We only had to wait 15 minutes for them to look at our problem laptop. The Geek Squad said that they would have another laptop sent out to us the next day! No questions asked! The 3 Year Accidental Geek Squad Protection Plan paid for itself the moment we talked to the Geek Squad about our problem Gaming Laptop! I would recommend them in a second!!!

Geek Squad is awesome and really helped me out after I dropped my laptop and it needed a repair. The service agent was so great and helped me with no issue. My laptop was repaired and returned to me in no time. I am so glad that I paid for this service. No regrets at all!

The Geek Squad person spent way more time than allotted helping to setup my new CoPilot Plus PC. Great Job.

Any purchase through Geek Squad is a smart one. This is a consumer-oriented company that values and respects its customers by offering quality products and merchandise at a fair price. The costs for this 3 -year Accidental Geek Squad Protection plan is nothing compared to the value I will be getting. Technology is pricey and a warranty ends after 12 months. This plan protects my pocketbook for the next 3 years.

Easy to use protection plan. The price went down as so did some of the services but ut still is a good plan.

Great service polite individuals and since I have recently purchased a new television I will save cover $200 in having them install it and move my old one to a new room. That alone has paid for the year of service. Plus my wife has had issues with her computer which were easily solved at the store for no charge.

I have not been required to use the protection plan but enjoy the piece of mind that if my laptop begins having issues Best Buy will repair or replace it in a timely manner.

Extremely worth it, I think it is necessary to get the geek squad plan for ANY electronic you move around, they are very helpful

Hard to actually give this a review, as I have not needed it so far. It's kind of funny hoping that I will never need to use it. I guess I'm paying for peace of mind and security.

The promise of being able to take my notebook to my local BestBuy when I have an issue is very attractive. I have not had to use it yet and I hope I never will but, if something does go wrong, knowing that BB has my back is comforting.

Then from 2 years to 3 years I bought I love the attention n they're right there when I need them I'd buy the 100 year if they had one Great to have this I recommend this 100%

Easy to buy and from what I've read covers most use cases. Hopefully I'll never have to use it :)

Hopeful that this is worth the cost. Not sure about value as of today
