So I own this TV now for 4 months and I was a little worry at first because the TV is not 120hz panel but the quantum dot and the 90 dimming zones make up for it Since is a basement TV, it beats paying an extra $2000 for an OLED or a QLED since is not a daily TV but for movies at night is great, no need to pay the premium for the 120hz panel when that bring some Funky looking artifacts in the picture and the motion blurr doesn't bother me as much anymore.

After about a year, there are random dark spots popping up on the screen. Sometimes they disappear after a few minutes of the TV being on, but other times they linger. I contacted Vizio and they arranged for me to get a replacement. They told me it wouldn't be brand new, but just as good. So they sent it out and the guys got it hooked up and it was WORSE than mine! It had lines running down the screen and black spots in the corners of the screen. So I had them take that one back and kept mine. The smartcast is sometimey. Sometimes it works right away and others it takes forever to load. My first and last Vizio TV. I can't wait until I'm able to replace it with a Samsung. Highly disappointed.

The Visio M-series has a great picture. I use it for streaming. It comes with quite a few apps so I haven't gotten a Fire Stick yet. I'm unable to install more apps so I may eventually get a Fire Stick.

Thank you for having a great offer on this particular vizio TV. It beat out the compition by a long shot in more ways than one, the internet lookup and purchase, the Service, the Geek Squad installation. Along with making myself feel at ease about this purchase. Friendly service, any questions or issues? The Geek Squad is always there to help.

This 4K 65" TV produces a picture that blows you out of your chair! Razor sharp with vivid colors. Geek Squad did a great job setting it up and took away the old TV. Excellent sales person at Best Buy.

Haven't owned it long but so far, fantastic. Great picture quality and a wide variety of apps. Only complaint is Vizio not having some type of internet browser.

This will make me have a total of 8 Vizio TVs. My daughter took one so I have 7 in the house. Great tv. Affordable price and great quality. As for the quantum led. It is a better and brighter picture but at the time of my purchase that option was an extra 250.00. Not worth that difference for picture quality and brightness. Will always buy this product. Make sure you hang this on the wall with some leds behind it. Looks pretty cool.

Bought in April, It started to lose sound randomly. Called Visio. They sent a repair company. 1 person did show up, oh It’s a 65” tv. The person needed help to lay it down. Also no mat to protect our new carpet? Oh yeah grab a sheet. I read a review like this but did not really think it would be just like it! Oh they fixed it. Weeks later the picture goes out and remote stops working. Called Visio , going to send me a new set. I am going to buy a different brand and sell my replacement, anyone interested??

The M-series quantum had a backlight failure right after the warranty period of 1 year. This seems to be a common issue with Vizio TVs (there are many Reddit threads on it). Vizio refused to replace/repair the TV.

Very Bright, great 4k and HDR coloring, along with deep blacks. No problems so far, a great value and contender to the top TV’s for a fraction of the price. This will hold me over till I can get an OLED, or wait for MicroLED. Actually superior to my 1080p Plasma from LG, as I was hesitant to jump from Plasma to LED but I have no regrets.

Not a lot of time? Here's a quick summary of my review: Pros: - Picture is bright and colors are vivid. - Seems to be accurate right out of the box. - Screen Uniformity is absolutely amazing, especially at 65". - Local dimming much more effective than in previous years. - Dolby Vision. - Support for smart devices. - Many, many others. Cons: - Remote leaves a little to be desired. - Smart platform needs updating and remains somewhat sluggish. - No native YouTube app at launch though you can use built in Chromecast to cast YouTube to the TV. I have so many positive things to say about this TV that I'm not quite sure where to begin. The picture quality is amazing in both SDR and HDR formats though it's particularly mesmerizing in HDR. The image is nice and bright and can overcome glare extremely well. Comparing to a 50" 2017 M-Series (M50-e1) that I have, there honestly isn't much to compare; it's better in every single way. Blacks can get super deep even when bright highlights are on screen and the local dimming is very effective. The 65" model I got advertises 600 nits peak brightness and 90 local dimming zones and you would be forgiven for thinking those are very conservative numbers. I don't have the equipment to test it, but I am absolutely sure this TV gets brighter than 600 nits in HDR. Quantum dots mean colors are still nice and saturated even at higher brightness levels and the colors seem to be very accurate straight out of the box. I ran Destiny 2 for a while to do an eye test of what this TV can really do in a very high contrast HDR setting and it's incredible. Colors are incredibly saturated and highlights are nice and bright. I've attached a photo that does some small justice to the experience. The screen uniformity of this TV is insane. Usually larger TVs tend to struggle in this area; not this one. I love to watch racing and there is ZERO dirty screen effect on my panel. Built in Google Chromecast means I can watch just about anything on my TV. Twitch, PlayStation Vue, YouTube, etc., etc. all work flawlessly. And though it's not available at the moment, Apple Airplay 2 is coming soon so that you can cast photos or videos straight from an Apple device to your TV. As for the cons, the remote does have a sort of cheap feel but this has more of less been par for the course for Vizio over the years. I don't get too picky about remotes but, for some people, the remote conveys the overall quality of the product and I think Vizio needs to try and elevate their game in this area. However, it works, has shortcuts to more popular apps and gets the job done. Finally, Vizio/s Android based smart platform could use a refresh and can be sluggish and can't keep up if you're trying to speed around on the screen. Again, I don't get too picky about this sort of thing but it's a small issue nonetheless. In short, this is an incredible TV, price aside. When you realize you can get this much TV for less than $1,000, it basically becomes a no-brainer for me. If you want a "premium" brand TV with these features you had better get ready to write a much bigger check AND you may not even get some of these features at all. Vizio has hit an absolute home-run with the 2019 M-series. Buy it, you will NOT be disappointed.

Screen backlight has failed in less than two years

Owner of less than 2 years, and the a section in the center of the backlight on the television is going out. I did normally have my back light high, and it isn't burn in. The "brown-out" right in the center of the screen is a rounded rectangle the screen is outputting less light on this section. It messes with the color and distracts from the experience of anything on the TV now as it has grown progressively worse. All of this is an indication of backlight failure, and that is indicative that these televisions are susceptible to turning into heavy paperweights over a short period of time if you want to enjoy them fully, which is very disappointing. Other than that, for the first year we used it, it was nice, but the interface is slow and buggy. External HDMI performance was fine. The TV had to be restarted a few times. Wifi performance was not normal and had to be factory reset a few times. We won't be buying another Vizio ever again due to this TV. We are owner of 3 and we've had consistent issues with two of them, our 55" inch tv stopped having an issue with the firmware patch. Nonetheless, what we have can't be fixed with firmware. I know what to expect of I call Vizio. We didn't have the wear and tear policy on the TV. It's too bad. Looking to switch over to LG, Sony, or Samsung now. Not sure which 4K 65" with Dolby Vision is within our budget range and stays better. Attached image examples.

Out of the box, there are noticeable issues with color accuracy, sharpness and color gamut. All picture presents are extremely dim. Apparently that’s how TV it’s intended to be viewed. After one week as much as I tried to like the unit, Best Buy kindly exchanged the Vizio for SamsungRU7100. So after two week with two panels, I figured I'd do unbiased testing running Death Stranding on both screens for comparison.
