Great controller, bought it to replace using an xbox controller on my computer and it allows me to use it on my wife's switch and my android devices. The app is convenient to change bindings on the controller via android or windows pc. it is perfect for retro games and modern titles as well

Works well. I purchased this as a controller to use on the go across my MacBook, laptop and occasionally my Switch. It’s worked amazing for that For my MacBook, I was having issues where some games wouldn’t recognize either my Xbox or my PS4 (it would recognize the other but not both), this controller has solved that. The controller is recognized as both, and/or doesn’t encounter the same issues with Steam as either my Xbox or PS4 controller did. This has meant I don’t have to carry multiple peripherals. It’s comfortable in the hand, like a mix between the ergonomic of SWITCH pro controller and the layout of a PS4 controller. All the buttons function well but are a little more mushy than I’d like. Not to the point it feels cheap, but just not enough resistance for my liking. Overall I would buy this again.

As someone who thinks Nintendo's First-Party items are pretty expensive, this beats theirs any day of the week! Totally recommend this first and foremost, every time!

Best 3rd Party Controller I've Come Across

Hands down the best third party controller. Sticks move very smooth yet are solid in place (also are very resistant to stick drift), Face buttons feel nice, battery lasts a very long time, connecting is very easy, and comes with a downloadable custom profile software on your pc to customize buttons, You can set macros, turbo, and set trigger sensitivity to your liking with 3 different profiles available. I bought 2 of these, an older gray one to give to my friend and the black one. I have yet to have an issue with either. And if you do manage to break a part of the controller they have a website where you can order parts and replace them yourself. The price it's at feels like a robbery for how good it performs and plays considering I have big hands, and controllers like the Dualsense feel very uncomfortable. Would 100% buy again. NOTE: THIS CONTROLLER DOES NOT CONNECT TO PS5 NATIVELY, YOU WOULD NEED A CONVERTER

Ridiculously good controller at a ridiculously low price. I adore near-bout everything about the feel of the pro 2, but above all, the app, allowing for many additional features to be accessed, makes this the best controller for the money, for any compatible platforms. I bought this for a Switch, and it’s flawless. I love it. 99/100

Comfortable and accurate. I am very pleased. I did have a bit of a hard time getting it to pair with my PC, but connecting the wifi antennae (that bluetooth shares) that was never connected before fixed the issue. Was just going to use a Xbox controller but the built in battery is the tie breaker, not to mention the fact that it works with other systems as well.

Purchased this for our new IMac all in one desktop. Price is reasonable, build quality is solid, and the controller pairs up easily to the computer. Compatibility has been 50/50 with iMac arcade games, which could just be an Apple vs PC issue. Overall, no regrets with the purchase, and once we pickup a PS5 (if it’s compatible as advertised), great multi-platform use controller. For reference, casual gamer, moderate desktop computer user. Typically on an iPad/tablet.

Pretty good controller. Feels great to the touch. I bought this controller for the turbo function and it works great. You do need an app to map the buttons. The joy sticks feel different compared to the Switch Pro Controller. These sticks on this 8bit do controller behave more like the thumbsticks found on the PS4 because they move back and forth in an arc.

i love this thing. the way i can have it set to my pc and switch and flip between them is so convenient. if you like the layout of the playstations dualshock youll get that here. people seem to love the dpad, its not my favorite, but its miles ahead of the switch pro controller. worth the buy, especially if you need it for multiple systems

I purchased this "8BitDo - Pro 2" wireless Bluetooth gamepad to replace a 15-year old USB wired gamepad that had recently failed. I was surprised by just how easy it was to setup this gamepad on my Windows 10 desktop PC. I was also able to easily setup this gamepad on my Sony UHD TV running Google TV. The instructions were simple to follow, and the gamepad holds a charge for a few hours. The gamepad feels very comfortable in my hands, unlike some other models. The gamepad can be easily recharged using the included USB Type-C cable. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product, and I would recommend it to my friends and colleagues.

Bought this exclusively for Switch and it works great. Build quality is excellent, stick feel is great, buttons are just right. The Dpad is the real highlight here and is perfect for playing through the NES/SNES catalogue.

Growing up, I always preferred Playstation controllers over XBox controllers, and finding a third party product with a familiar layout for PC was a bit of a challenge. Most other products had cheaper feeling build qualities, latency issues, and battery life problems. NOT HERE! the 8BitDo Pro 2 is a killer little controller thats compatible with PC, XBox, Switch, and mobile phones (including apple devices)! i havent had a single problem in over two years of owning this controller.

    PS5 slim controller?

Lightweight and slimmer like a PS4 controller but with a curved grip like a PS5 controller. I really wanted it for the paddles, to get 2 extra buttons for the Switch. You need the manual for the initial setup, but it's quick/easy to pair with a smartphone to reprogram buttons or add macros and quickly syncs. The app has 3 profiles so multiple people can set it up their way. Comes with a chargeable battery pack but you can remove it and put your own batteries in. The controller uses USB-C to charge, didn't take long to charge. Has a 4-way switch on the back so you can quickly change between systems. Doesn't have official "HD Rumble" for Switch, but it does have vibration and it feels just fine. That was the main feature I was concerned about. Also it doesn't "wake" the Switch, but I don't care. *CAUTION* new reviews on the Android app store say 8BitDo Ultimate Software doesn't work. Maybe for newer phones? My phone is from 2018 and works just fine.

Great controller choice for someone who wants a controller for some combination of Nintendo Switch, PC, and phone. Can be paired with 4 devices and has a switch in the back to choose what to use it with. Has all of the standard buttons in addition to analog triggers and two additional back buttons. Has software that allows you to customize the buttons and lets you save multiple profiles if you want different layouts for different games. Form factor is similar to the Playstation controllers, which some may find to be less comfortable than the Xbox or Nintendo Pro Controller. Comes with a rechargeable battery pack, but also fits AA batteries if you aren't able to charge but want to keep playing. Lacks a good battery level indicator.

I wasn't sure what the controller would be like having never used a 8bitDo Controller. I was quite surprised however once I opened it and held it in hand. The back has a nice textured grip with two extra buttons. It feels like a hybrid between SNES and Dualshock 4 controller. The sticks have a good bit of travel and resistance. The buttons too have a nice feel to them. The D-pad in particular is the star of the show. If you've ever used a NES or SNES controller the D-pad feels so much like the real deal. None of the buttons feel mushy. I've used the controller with both the Switch and my PC now and it performs admirably well. I had wanted to pick up a Switch Pro Controller. But with this I really don't feel like I need to.

Awesome controller. I have played Xbox Gamepass on my phone and only off cellular data and there has been no lag at all. The buttons do not click anywhere near as loud as the backbone so I play without annoying anyone beside or around me. I loved my backbone but the button clicks were really loud for others. It didn't bother me as much but it annoyed my wife.
