Customers are satisfied with the build quality, charging dock, and the overall feel of the Ultimate Bluetooth Controller. Many appreciate its compatibility with multiple devices, including the Nintendo Switch and PC, along with the comfortable design and responsive buttons. While some experienced connection issues, positive feedback on battery life and the D-pad were also prevalent. A few users mentioned concerns about potential stick drift, but this was not a universally reported problem.

I play a lot on the laptop. And I needed a controller that looked and felt good. This was definitely it. After software update everything ran perfectly. I really like how it comes with its own dock and connects really fast.
I highly recommend it

Works well on Nintendo Switch and PC. The Hall Effect joysticks are the main highlight for me.

I bought a new controller and wait a week. However there is dirt and short hair on it. So I think it is a pre-owned one.

Amazing controller with nearly universal compatibility. Quality of the controller and the dock are both great and the battery life is good. The dock makes it super easy to charge when not in use.

As you can see from the title of this review I really REALLY like this controller. It pairs easily to my switch and with a flip of a switch it pairs to my pc. The hall effect thumbsticks are great and even after a month I still have ZERO stick drift. Now, with this being the NINTENDO SWITCH lay out you HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THE SOFTWARE ON YOUR PC in order for it to work like an xbox controller on your pc. It only took me 2 tries to get it down and now everything is perfect. (One to flip x y b a and one to map the back buttons) The best part for me personally is the charging dock because oh my goodness does it feel so cool just slappin it on there watching the bar light up indicating its charging. It kind of makes it look like an otem you use in the end game to beat the big bad boss lol.

It kinda makes you scratch your head because this controller feels much more premium than what they're charging for. I love the textured feel it has but it doesn't "feel" textured. It grips really well. Couple things to get used to is that it isn't as wide as other controllers so it feels a little weird at first. If you've got really big hands you may come across a little bit more fatigue than say an xbox or actual nintendo controller. However, you get used to it super quick and it feels amazing. Triggers are wonderful. It is super nice in every respect and plus... you get a charging dock and it is super convenient to use. You'll regret not buying it.

Was looking for a GOOD wireless pro controller (back paddle buttons) for my Switch AND pc, and boy did it deliver.
It feels premium and good in the hands. Comes with a charger so you never have to change batteries (though this is not something I am against). The sticks use the hall effect sticks so there will never or less chance of stick drift compared to all the older sticks. And like I said, it has back paddle buttons. Just 2 though so if you want 4 buttons back there you may want to go elsewhere.
Also comes with a 2.4ghz dongle so you can have less input lag. This is what I opt for when gaming either on my Switch or on my pc. I was hoping however that I would be able to connect my Xbox controller or DualSense to the dongle but unfortunately you can only connect the 8bitdo controller to it.
All in all, great controller, would buy again.

Feels better in your hands, feels better to use, joysticks are nice and precise. Charge lasts forever. I haven’t had to charge mine yet and I’ve had it for weeks (albeit with inconsistent use). D-pad is great, buttons feel high quality and tactile. Ability to switch between bluetooth and 2.4 on the fly is incredibly convenient. Overall a solid, well made controller.

Pros:
Charging dock and it acts as a range extender
Hall effect sensors (Bluetooth version with Switch button layout)
Fully configurable button mapping including two back buttons
Everything else except...
Cons:
Bumpers rattle
No precise battery level indication or reporting
A little delayed on wireless PC reconnection
I use this for PC gaming. Great controller, comfortable, inclusion of a charging dock at this price is impressive. Inside the dock there's a wireless dongle for connection in to PC X-Input mode, the dock itself acts as a USB passthrough, so the dongle can just stay in there, also acting as a range extender. This more than makes up for the Bluetooth mode being tied exclusively to Switch controller configuration. I've found no issues charging off PC USB (3.2 gen 1).
My only issue with the controller build is the shoulder bumpers rattle quite a bit. If these were face buttons I'd be worried about the getting stuck, but I don't expect bumpers are prone to that. Everything else seems very built, the things that should be smooth are smooth, things that should be crisp are crisp. Vibration is strong, I have it turned all the way down in the controller configuration and in my games and it's still noticable. It's a slower rumble, not buzzy.
Reconnection to 2.4GHz when waking the controller is a tad slow, compared to say a Dualsense using Bluetooth. But it not too big a deal. I haven't done any marathon gaming on it, so can't say if the battery life claim is accurate, but it's certainly had no issues for a few hours at a time. However, I can't figure out how to really check the battery level besides a low, charging, or fully charged LED. So far as I can tell it's not reported to Windows, perhaps it is on the Switch.
The documentation isn't amazing. But usage is relatively intuitive. And given the price point, I don't expect a dedicated team making regionalized translations.
There is a replaceable button set available from the manufacturer to get X-Box button configuration, with shipping to US it's about $10, but may take awhile to arrive. Given the one that comes with Xbox buttons uses potentiometer sticks, it's definitely worth getting this version for PC.

Very nice controller. I’ve had the Sn30 Pro for a few years and it was great besides having serious issues syncing with the Switch. This works much better and the dock is a really nice touch. It’s been great so far.
I haven’t tried it on a PC/Mac or Android device yet. Mine is mainly for the Switch. This is the best Switch controller outside of the Nintendo Pro and it loos cool too. Great quality like everything else I’ve had from 8Bitdo.

This is quite possibly the best non-Nintendo pro controller for Switch. Pretty good quality, controls great and has most features of the Nintendo branded one. Battery life is great too, and the included dock is a nice touch. I'm docking a star for a few of reasons. First, is the controller can't turn on the Switch. Second, no HD rumble, just standard rumble. And third, the dock makes an audible high pitched whine which can get annoying if the dock stays close.

You get a controller with hall effect sticks (that won't develop drift after a month or two), Bluetooth, 2.4ghz and a charging station all for a great price.
Worth picking up if you just want a good quality PC or switch controller that will last.

Bought it since my Nintendo pro controller stopped working and surprisingly not from drift. Now i don't have to worry about drift. The joysticks are mediocre feeling but i have the security of no drift. The back paddles are nice and so is the dock! That alone makes it more worth the Nintendo brand. I don't like having to plug and unplug so many devices. The only problem i had was the gyro seems to have like a small dead zone? Feels like a fraction of a second delay every time I try shooting arrows in Zelda. But who knows maybe it's just mine. Actually wait 2 problems. Sometimes i want to take a screenshot in like Metroid prime remastered and it triggers the turbo. You can never fully disable turbo from the button but you can remap screenshot to another button which is fine but annoying. Turbo is nice when I'm out mining in totk depths for item pick up haha

I took a shot in the dark with this controller. Wanted a controller that you can keep synced to pc and a switch at the same time, and this one does it. Have the dock plugged into my pc for the 2.4g and the bluetooth for my switch. Just flip the 2.4/bt on the controller and it works on both without resync. It eliminated having 2 controllers out for both. Definitely worth every penny.
Only downsides I have is that you have to shake the controller to turn on the switch and it has a rattle like something is loose/broken inside, but it doesnt bother me since it works properly.

This is a great controller for use on the PC. I haven't tried it on Switch yet. It was easy enough to get set up and get the software installed to properly configure it. I've used it to play some emulators and it's working perfectly. Feels well built for the price as well.
Maybe the best part is the charging dock. It's very convenient to just throw it on the dock when I'm done playing.

I keep my switch docked 95% of the time and have never found the joycons particularly great for that use. Having used other 8bitdo controllers on PC and Android, I was delighted to see this one for the Switch. It performs wonderfully and the charging dock is a nice inclusion. I highly recommend this controller.
