    Judy Garland really came to her own in this film. For fans of the new version starring Lady Gaga, this will be a delight to watch. Great Music by Harold Arlen with lyrics by Ira Gershwin. Brilliantly directed by George Cukor.

    Hands down the best version of A "Star is Born". After Judy did this film, her life started it's downward motion ending in what you saw in the film "Judy", another good film. Judy Garland was so much more than Dorothy in "The Wizard of Oz"

    wasn't much of a fan of this version. Lady Gaga's version is a lot better!

    Of the pre-2018 versions of A Star is Born, I put this just behind the original. Though it is a bit lengthy.

    Bestbuy has this movie listed as 1954 but it's the 1937 version. I wanted the 1954 version with Judy Garland. But, this one was cool too.

    This is now the 3rd time I've ordered this item (A Star is Born 1954) and received the wrong item (the 1937 version). I have posted reviews indicating the first and second times this happened and they were deleted, so I expect the same to happen to this one. Whoever reads this should pass along the information that this is a continuing problem. At this point, I have no intention of trying to buy this item from Best Buy again. 3 orders with 3 wrong items delivered is a strike-out.
