Awesome chip if you know what look for. After doing my homework and reviewing some laptops with the minimum of a Intel Core i5 chip, I wanted laptop to replace my Lenovo that I gave to my wife, I found this one with an awesome chip compared to others that only had a low end chip but for a few hundred dollars more. This one was not only less but had better specs. Truth be told, if you want a computer or laptop or any technology, look at the guts then the outside. This had awesome guts for the price and once I gave the keyboard and screen a try at Best Buy, I couldn't help but to buy two, the last two. One for my high school kid and one for me. For mine, I had extra parts and traded the internal 1 TB hard drive for a 500 GB SSD and then made the 1 TB an external HD USB 3. I then gave my DDR4 RAM to my son so he would have 8 total because it only came with 4 GB RAM and upgraded mine to 16 GB. Love it so much.

Not the greatest for gaming. Runs alright as far as normal functions go. Does include bloatware (programs which can be removed without hindering laptop performance/ may increase performance if not used) I recommend a brief online search of any unfamiliar programs that you may want to remove. Helps to make sure you don't remove something important! An alright buy for the price. Any tech savvy individuals may get a little more bang for their buck using their own skills. Otherwise, read the reviews and make your own decisions!

Bought this Acer laptop after returning a similar HP product. Had to add more memory but it is fast and reliable, like it a lot.

This suits my needs very well. It's fast and has more than enough storage for what I need. The price was well within my budget.

I needed a new laptop that played DVDs (I don't download or use the cloud) and was fast for the internet. A good basic laptop is all I needed. I asked a salesperson, and he highly recommended this model. Great price, and works great. Nice choice. Very happy with it.

This laptop is perfect for basic gaming (we use Steam games) and browsing/streaming videos. For the price this laptop can't be beat. We haven't had any performance issues and don't anticipate any issues with the amount of use we've had gaming and streaming.

My old laptop was starting to die...I went to Best Buy to see what was available. I didn't want to spend too much..I don't need a lot of extra's , don't need super fast speed or tons of storage. I use my laptop to go on line, email, send an occasional letter etc... This one fits the bill, does what I need and was in my price range. Very happy with it!

I looked at several laptops for my son and he ended up choosing this one. For the price, there is no better deal out there. We looked everywhere, Amazon, Walmart, Office Depot,, etc. In the end, we got the best deal at Best Buy. It does everything it is supposed to do and he is very happy with it. Intel Icore 5 and 4gigs memory. Great laptop!!!

Bought this laptop for my son a number of months ago. He loves it and it has worked consistently well for him. His only complaint is that it doesn't fold over into a tablet or have a touchscreen, but that does not take away from the value of this laptop as a laptop. It is fast, sturdy, and the screen is visually great.

Have not had any hardware porblems with this laptop. Not overloaded with bloatware although there were several programs that needed to be removed that were not needed. Does take performance hits when playing certain video games, however this is not a laptop for gamers. Great budget laptop.

Great laptop! It certainly serves its purpose for me. I only go online occasionally to check out sales ads and print out coupons, and the laptop works just fine. It was a little slow at first, but after uninstalling some of the previously installed applications, it is nice and quick now!

My harddrive on my former ASUS broke. Lost all my info. Picked up the Acer because it was reasonably priced 4 my needs. Happy with purchase.
