Got this on a Black Friday deal $550 off normal price.
Couldn’t come close to building a pc with these specs at that price. Thing is a beast as is with plenty of upgradability for future proofing.

There’s plenty of scope for upgrading but it’s all ready to plug and play out of the box. Tried the latest gaming titles like Ghostwire Tokyo, Call of Duty with Raytracing and was blown away by how smooth the graphics and no dip in FPS. The provided RGB keyboard and mouse are decent, along with plenty of peripheral ports. The fan noise is not too loud and I was able to easily add a secondary M2 SSD (it’s right by the fan). Be sure to enable DTS X/ultra for your headphones, speakers for spatial sound and take your gaming to the next level - the app is already pre installed. Happy gaming!

Geriatric Millennial Review

I have had my computer for one week now, and it has exceeded my expectations. Over the past couple years, I have been researching my next work/gaming computer. I have heard that pre-build's often contain cheaper parts, overheat, and are poorly optimized. Therefore, I considered buying one from a boutique supplier, such as NZXT, Digital Strom, Redux, etc. Only problem is they're usually pretty expensive, as most boutiques are. My only caveat is that I bought mine at a significant discount on Black Friday for $1750 and is the primary reason I did not go with a boutique supplier. At the current retail price of $2300, I still recommend this item, but it may be worth shopping around or waiting for another big sale first. As far as gaming, I play on a 1440p/144hz monitor and it has been able to perform mostly at 144fps with Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy max setting across the board. Only when I mess around with the Ray Tracing setting can FPS dip significantly which is expected with RT. Regarding noise level, I have had no issues and this does seem to be an issue with others. I got approximately 40dB at idle and probably 50dB while gaming for 2 hrs. I personally wear ANC headphones anyways and what we consider to be load is at a degree subjective. The cable management is amazingly tight, crispy and clean. Per UserBenachMark: "Overall this PC is performing above expectations." Hope this helps someone! sincerely, geriatric millennial.

I recently bought 2 of these, so i could play with my gf. Mine has been running decent although sometimes games have fps drop and my computer makes a ticking noise. My gf computer does not work anymore, we left it on after playing ready or not and when we came home from work is was running loud, we immediately turned it off out of confusion. Upon turning the pc back on the graphics card caught on fire which also let off some smoke. We had a software engineer run a diagnosis by plugging in a 960 gpu and they were able to confirm that the pc still works, although the graphics card was likely flawed, bc they are not supposed to catch on fire. I will buy another 3080 from bestbuy to put into the computer and keep the fire extinguisher ready. Attached is picture of 960 inside and the 3080 that shot flames on the floor.

I honestly love this PC it has almost everything I needed. I do however highly recommend investing another approximately 200$ to make it an absolute beast. I removed the two 8GB RAM (total 16GB RAM) and installed two 16GB RAM (total 32GB RAM) and I also added 1TB SSD in the second M.2 slot for a total of 2TB SSD. Easy to upgrade and well worth every penny. If you're on the fence about this PC, I recommend you pull the plug.

1st and foremost. I love this machine. I’ve had several gaming PCs from Hp to cyber power. And those PCs where good. But their cases were just too generic. I care about performance but I also care about looks. And this acer predator is beautiful with a sleek yet flashy design with 2 RGB (rifle bearing)140mm fans up front and a 120mm in back for exhaust. Predator blue led up top is nice too but I wish that was RGB. But I understand that is the color scheme for the predator pc.
As far as performance this has almost every newly spec’d component out. I7 12700f is plenty fast for gaming at 1440p and 4K as well. This processor like all 12th gen intel run hot and will need upgrading to the stock cooler. About that stock cooler, while I get that it’s pretty and kinda beefy with a 120mm fan attached. It’s not enough and I’m guessing it’s partly because of the lack copper and overall size. While running predator sense the CPU was hitting 100•C. That’s while playing warzone and demanding games at max resolution settings. That’s not great for longevity. So I decided to upgrade the cooler to a tower cooler with 2 fans in a push-pull configuration. The cpu now runs about 30-40•c cooler. I highly recommend if you know what to do. You will need to remove the entire motherboard as this pc case doesn’t have the cut out in the back side of the case. Took me about an hour. But worth it. Tho keep in mind this might void warranty.?!
3080 is a beast as most pc enthusiast already know. Acers variant is a 3 fan design which is great for cooling.Usually only hit 80•c max. Also they included a black gpu plate which is also great for sturdiness and looks. I personally removed the gpu sag bracket as I believe it blocks some air from the front top fan.
Boot drive is plenty fast at gen 4 speeds. Plenty of space at 1TB with an additional nvme slot on the side. Oddly placed but kinda cool at the same time.
Ddr5 is fast as well next gen with speeds at 4400mhz. That’s about where you start off I plan on upgrading to maybe 5200mhz. I believe it’s his board can handle those speeds. I believe this board is an in house acer predator h670. This is a great board from what I’ve seen on YouTube not a budget board by any means. The Ram is plain green pcb but it’s hidden underneath the new tower cooler. Not a big deal.
Power supply is a max 800watt liteon brand I think. I know they mainly make laptop chargers. So they are very reputable.
The overall cooling is fine but as you can see I upgrade a lot so I added 2 120mm on top for more air flow. Acer was very clever with this part as you can unscrew the top plate and remove to easily add fans and access the fan and argb ports. So so smart. Makes it easier to upgrade.
WiFi is super fast if you have the newest router. I run hard wired so even faster and more reliable speeds.
I wanted to detail my upgrades so for those who want the best machine to run even better, know what to look for. This pc is very well thought out designed and specs are amazing for the price. Even the keyboard and mouse are better those most included. RGB lights are controllable by predator sense software. Works great minus the syncing of the interior lights and the keyboard and mouse. Minor lag.
See pics for more details on PC before and after upgrades.
If you are in the market for a top of the line prebuilt. This is definitely a beast of a machine. Even if you leave it as it is.
One thing I don’t love is windows 11. It is fine and all but if you get a bad version of any specific app it may cause the system to freeze. I had to uninstall Firefox as I believe that was the culprit. In case you have this issue try that. Good luck and happy gaming y’all!

An Amazing Pre-built w/ No Compromises

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I've never been a big fan of pre-built gaming PCs. Nor did I ever think that I'd be rating one as highly as I am now. This pre-built got a lot of things right and very few things wrong. I've been building PCs over the past fifteen years or so and I've always avoided pre-assembled gaming PCs because I always felt like the manufacturer gave the consumer the cheapest and lowest tier options of any component (e.g. memory, storage, motherboard, fans). A lot of manufacturers also didn't pay attention to the finer details of building a PC such as cable management or the art of pairing the correct case with the correct components in order to provide optimal airflow. As I get older and my schedule gets busier, I'm finding that making the time to research and plan a build is becoming more and more difficult. And while the prospect of purchasing a pre-built gaming PC seems like an attractive option to save some time, the truth of the matter is that there's still very few companies that I would trust with a pre-built gaming PC. After extensively using this build, Acer has earned my trust. I've broken down this review into a few core categories and listed some of the key characteristics that convinced me that this is five star product.
**********Performance**********
Sporting Intel's latest i7-12700 4.9Ghz 12 core processor and a triple slot RTX 3080, this thing devoured everything I threw at it. On GPU-Z, the Acer RTX3080 GPU comes clocked stock at 1710 Mhz and an 1187 Mhz memory clock. Monitoring it's in game performance though, the gpu clock constantly boosted to a little over 1800 Mhz. For comparison, the reference Nvidia 3080 Founder's Edition has a base clock of 1440 Mhz and a boost clock of 1710 Mhz. I love that we get about a 100 Mhz boost clock over the FE with this 3080. For testing my favorite gaming resolutions (UWQHD and 4K), I used my Asus PG35VQ (3440 x 1440) and my Asus PG27UQ (3840 x 2160) displays. The benchmarks results were very impressive considering I ran all the games listed below on the highest quality presets available. Results are listed below.
3D Mark Time Spy (3440 x 1440): ****Better than 86% of all online results****
-Time Spy Score = 15,630 (picture attached)

**********Thermals**********
Upon seeing the case fans that Acer included in this pre-built, as well as their orientation, I was not surprised when I discovered the impressive thermal readings under load. CPU temp idles at 37-40 degrees C on all cores with an ambient room temperature of 75 degrees F. Under extreme benchmnarking workloads, the CPU never broke past 72 degrees C! GPU temp idles at 42 degrees C with an ambient room temperature of 75 degrees F. Under extreme benchmarking workloads, the GPU never broke past 78 degrees C. A lot of this has to do with Acer adequately outfitting the case with proper fans in a pull/push configuration. A nice little surprise was that even under heavy loads, all of the fans were relatively quiet! No coil whine or humm of any sort. Acer includes the case fans listed below:
-2 x 140mm Front fans (pull)
-1 x 120mm rear exhaust fan (push)
-1 x 120mm CPU fan + heatsink
I was pleasantly surprised by just how well the Air cooler on the CPU performs. I really don't see a need for a liquid cooled AIO for this build but if your heart really desires one, the case can accommodate a 240mm radiator in the top exhaust (or intake depending on your preference). The RTX3080's cooling system is a beast! The GPU's PCB is cooled by a triple axial-fan designed shroud. This is also a substantial three slot card which allows it to accommodate it's massive and wonderous cooling heatsink. As I monitored the GPU temps throughout all of my gaming sessions, not once did I see the temp exceed 78 degrees C as previously mentioned. As the fans spun up to higher RPMs, I also never felt like the fan noise was annoyingly loud as compared to some of the other GPUs I've had in the past with the same triple axial fan design. Very impressed with the 3080 that Acer is including in this build.
**********Case/Components/Aesthetics & Software**********
The case looks beautiful. The case is constructed with a combination of aluminum, plastic, and tinted tempered glass which gives it an incredibly sleek, minimalist, and modern look. Normally, I'm not a fan of company logos plastered on my cases. However, this time, the LED-lit Acer Predator accent on the front of the case provides a bit of extra "pop" that just goes well with the rest of the case. I also love the massive twin-engine looking fan shrouds at the front of the case.
The parts of the case that I felt could have been better though is the upper panel of the case where the top exhaust vent is. It's constructed of all plastic which feels a bit cheap to the touch. On a positive note though, it doesn't cheapen the actual look. Since the case is all black, it visually blends in with the rest of the black aluminum parts of the case. Acer gets MASSIVE bonus points for the fantastic cable management that they were able to accomplish. The cabling being routed to front of the motherboard as well as the cabling near the backplate was very well organized and tidy which is exactly what you would want to see in a case with so much glass. I was impressed by the components that Acer selected for this build. Very reputable manufacturers with great specs and performance! I've listed some of my favorite highlights below:
-Amazing SSD Read/Write speeds!! This comes with a Samsung M.2 NVMe 1TB SSD. Benchmarking the drive on CrystalDiskMark, the drive achieved the impressive numbers below:
-Read Speeds of 4016 MB/s
-Write speeds of 5123 MB/s
-Quality RAM sticks! They are 2x8 GB Samsung DDR5 PC4800 which run at a DRAM frequency of 2194 Mhz with a CAS latency of 36 (source: CPU-Z readings)
-GPU card is supported by a VGA holder bracket to prevent card sag that we've seen in the past with heavy triple slot cards
-Removable dust filter on the bottom of the case is easy to clean
-800 watt PSU provides more than enough power for all the components in this build and then leaves a lot of headroom for future component expansion (unfortunately, I was unable to determine an efficiency rating for this PSU)
-Predator Sense software has an intuitive UI and runs very stable. Allows you to maximize your fan curve, monitor performance metrics, and customize your case lighting
-Two easily removable 3.5 inch hard drive bays for those larger HD's that are typically used for static storage
**********Final Thoughts**********
If gaming PCs were built like this back in the day, I would have saved myself a lot of time and headaches. While you're still not getting pretty heat spreaders on your RAM sticks or custom thick gauged premium sleeved 8+8 pin gpu power cables, what you are getting is a very top tier, fully assembled machine that is using premium components to achieve high-end performance. It accomplishes high end performance whilst also providing high visual appeal. Lastly, it's worth mentioning that I've used this thing a lot lately and not once has it experienced any type of stability, thermal, or noise issues. I played a full 7 hour session getting through the CoD Vanguard campaign from start to finish.. what a flawless experience!! No overheating issues, no crashes, and no weird software or driver quirks. Of course gaming isn't the only thing this rig does well. Running heavily multithreaded applications like adobe premiere and photoshop CS were incredibly snappy and instant. I also tested opening about 60-80 google chrome tabs, several of them playing youtube videos in the background, while also performing other tasks like browsing, listening to music, or watching a movie on Netflix. The experience was still flawless. I gotta give credit where it's due and I think that Acer did a phenomenal job with providing a very well thoughtout pre-built with some serious performance. If you dont have the know-how required to build your own custom PC or you simply don't have the time and energy required to plan out a build....relax, kick your feet up, and let Acer do the heavy lifting.

Acer did an amazing job on this system. This is actually the first and only pre-built gaming system I have ever owned. For the past 15 years or so, I’ve custom built all my systems from the motherboard up. I’ve probably built around 30 machines for both myself and others so I am no stranger to trying to pick the best parts that fit the budget. I think that’s what I like so much about this system is that Acer didn’t skimp on the parts but still put everything together in a beautiful package, at a reasonable price, for what is inside.
The aesthetics of this machine are absolutely amazing. They did an excellent job with the cable management and the fans and fancy glass case design make this a true conversation piece. You can tell when you turn the machine on that there was a lot of thought that went in to the design of this system from an aesthetics perspective, and let’s be honest, for gamers and PC enthusiasts alike, you want to show off your tower. I feel Acer did a phenomenal job achieving this.
The performance is astounding. Acer built this machine with future proofing in mind. A 1TB M.2 drive, i7 CPU, 16GB of RAM, and a Nvidia 3080! What more could you want? Especially at this price point! One of the things that really stands out for me with this system, is the ease of upgrading it should you choose. This system is great out of the box with no changes or additions. I’ve played multiple big-name titles at max settings both in 4k and 2k and the framerates are excellent and the temperatures are decent. But if you are an enthusiast, like me, you may want to add or upgrade some features on the system and it is very easy to accomplish. There IS a secondary M.2 slot for expanded M.2 storage. Two additional memory slots for expanded memory. Room to fit an all-in-one water cooler and radiator should you choose to go that route, and expandable hard drive storage as well. I have added an additional M.2 as well as multiple internal hard drives already.
This is an amazing machine from the parts to the design. Performance is excellent for all the newest games, the aesthetics are amazing, cooling is great as well. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for an excellent high-performance PC. Also, keep in mind you can add so much more to this system. I feel it is priced really well and really fits the mark at an affordable, beautiful, high-powered PC.
I’m not much of benchmark person, but I did perform a couple popular benchmark tests as well as took some screenshots of the important parts within this system in case you want to know exactly what comes inside.

Stellar Performance and build Quality

This gaming PC is the awesome. The speed of all the components together make for a Stellar build and performance gaming PC. First off the boot up speed is really fast with the included m.2 gen 4 SSD, Windows boots so fast. Gaming performance and boot up times are incredible to go along with it. Acrer Knows what they are doing. The i7-12700 4.9Ghz 12 core processor is top notch and temps stay low under load with its large heat sink and 120mm fan.
First thing you notice when you boot this up are the massive 140mm fans on the case front. They are whisper quiet and look really good with the fan shrouds acer is using around them, they look like jet engines really. The build of the case is very solid with its metal chassis and tempered glass window. Setting up Windows seems easier now days than it used to be, went very smooth and fast. Once inside I started messing with the pulsar lighting via predator sense to make this PC my own. It's really good software and intuitive. It synces with the included keyboard and mouse which I very much appreciate. Then I loaded up chrome and I had 50 tabs loaded and youtube playing video on 10 of them. The performance never suffered that I could tell. 16 gb of DDR5 ram clocking in at 4400 mhz is sufficient but I recommend 32 for those hardcore gamers and multitaskers out there.
The GPU, it's all about the GPU. Acers 3080 they put in here really tears through my games. It has 3 fans so cooling should not be an issue. I played Forza Horizon 5 most of the time and was hitting 85-95 FPS average at 1440p, just beautiful and smooth gameplay. I did play some COD Warzone and noticed the framerate was hitting the 120's average which is phenomenal.
So if you're in the market for a prebuilt gaming PC by a very reputable company then Id look no further than this. I believe the price is fair for what you get. Acer put a nice PC together with top notch components.

Incredible High End Performance Gaming Machine!

Computer gaming has taken huge leaps in the last few years but the Acer Predator Orion 5000 Gaming Desktop makes another incredibly leap! Here is my experience with the desktop so far:
PROS:
- Unboxing you are instantly impressed with how the Desktop looks even before it is turned on! The material feels very high quality, the look is sleek and modern, and I absolutely love the clear panels it has to see the interiors.
- On top of that it comes with a really great mouse & keyboard, plus a power cord. I do not have any problems with it not coming with an HDMI chord as pretty much every high end monitor supplies those these days anyways.
- Setup was super fast and easy thanks to Microsoft 11 and of course the specs which I will get to, this desktop is really ready to go right out of the box!
- The specs on this desktop are unreal! Most gamers like to build their own Desktop but Acer has thought of everything with this machine. The 12th Gen Intel Processor along with the 16GB DDR5 4400MHz memory handle everything blazing fast! Along with that it has a 1TB Solid state drive which makes load times even faster! I also really like how you can upgrade the SSD if you want to so it helps future proof this PC for time to come.
- On top of that, the PC has one of the best graphics cards you can get for a gaming PC along with supporting 4K HDR pictures and high frame rates. All very important to me and others as you want a PC that works with those high refresh rates and be really smooth at the same time.
- The cooling fans are a big selling point as well! Not only do they look incredible with the lighting but they are very efficient, quiet, and make this PC run at a very high end level!
- With all these great specs, I was able to game at a consistent 120 hz frame rate for hours with no issues. The gaming was smooth, the PC did not overheat, and I felt like this Predator Orion could handle anything I throw at it! Really great for some of the games I have purchased in the past year.
- Of course outside of gaming, this Desktop can really handle a large workload! I tried out various programs and had multiple windows running at once with no issue! This is a beast!
CONS:
- My only complaint is I wish it had more than 1 HDMI port. The 3 Display ports are nice but I would just like more flexibility there.
- Otherwise no complaints! This Desktop goes above and beyond in mostly every area.
BOTTOM LINE:
- Gamers love building their own Desktops but the Acer Predator Orion 5000 delivers a machine that gives you everything you want while prepping for the future. The graphics, memory, storage, and specs are some of the best you can find and all of it is upgradable to give you a machine you can have for a long time. This Acer Desktop is a great buy for those big time performance users out there!

2 month review:
Amazing prebuilt desktop that I bought during the Black Friday sale for 1800. I missed the sale that had it for 1750, but its well worth the price.
Sure, you can build your own, but when it comes to warranty and faulty parts you'll be on your own there contacting the manufacturer. With GS from Best Buy, they'll help out if there are any hardware issues especially in this time of delayed shipping for computer parts. One of my friends got a replacement 30 series GPU within a day of having his own prebuilt messing up(he bought a cyberpower prebuilt).
First impressions were that this thing is HUGE!!! It's a large tower in comparison to my old mid size Omen gaming from HP.
The intel CPU & Nvidia GPU are high end and make this system run almost anything on the highest settings.
Cooling is fairly decent as well. Prebuilts usually have cooling issues as many companies skimp out on the cooling systems, but with 3 intake fans, cpu fan, gpu radiator, and 1 outtake fan- this keeps your temps cool in the 60-75C range depending on the games and your preferred monitor resolutions. I use a QHD Dell monitor with 144HZ and it works like a dream in combination with this pc.
***I do want to note that you can edit the cooling through the "Predator Sense" APP that comes preinstalled onto this system. Just search it up in your programs upon start up. You can change you colors and customize your fan speeds. If you use the basic fan settings, you'll see your system heat up in the 70-74C range for online fps games like OW2 & COD.
Though understand that this is normal temps for QHD & 4k resolution. You can even look up online comparison temps if you don't believe me. If you put the fans on the gaming mode- the system does get VERY loud, but you'll be able to play for hours on the end. I played for 10 hours straight after messing around with the custom fan settings(not max rpm/fan settings) and it never broke past 70C on this pc!!! So I was very impressed.
The 1tb NVME drive turned out to be a Samsung drive and they do make excellent drives, so this was very nice. The system works very snappy and fast for all my gaming apps and productivity apps for work and online courses.
16GB DDR5 is nice for my needs too, You can upgrade this with several other brands so that's good.
You can upgrade your memory(though adding a NVME drive does require removal of your GPU and its bracket as its GIANT). Though if you want to add any SSDs or HDDs, you have two slots at the bottom for EASY storage upgrading.
You can also add more fans on the top, but it's very important to know that altering/adding any parts does void the warranty! That goes with any prebuilt hardware from Best Buy. So do proceed with caution if you do this.
This system even came with Spider-man Remastered for free, which ran like smooth butter on this sweet system.
Overall, for around 2K after taxes and 3 years of GS warranty, this prebuilt gaming pc is well worth the price for quality, cooling, and reliability. I will update if I encounter any issues, but so far, this runs like a dream tbh.

Short review: Buy this computer
Longer review: Let me explain a bit.....
What's in the box? The computer, corded gaming mouse and keyboard with matching RGB LED lights, and a getting started guide.
Setup: I unboxed this computer, plugged it in to the wall and my monitor, and started it up. Within seconds I was greeted with the Windows 11 setup guide. Now, I'm not a fan of Windows 11, but thats not what this review is about.
Use and computing power: I don't have specific testing specs, but what I can say is WOW. This computer boots up from a cold start in seconds, and can run any game or application I throw at it. I've been using Flight Simulator 2020 on Ultra (actually higher than ultra...every slider as high as it can go) settings, running a 4K monitor on HDR and this thing doesn't even have to run the fan speed higher. Graphics are butter smooth, and from startup to flying is just minutes (which is quick for MSFS2020). I've also been playing AOE4, which is not graphics heavy at all, but it loads super quickly. As well as Forza Horizon 5 on the highest settings. Not a single issue with this computer running games.
Hardware: Well, looks wise this thing is gorgeous. Clear windows with multiple, programmable LED lights, as multiple fans to keep it cool. It looks great and is quiet. There are many ports, including display port, HDMI, USB and USBC (even some on the top on the front for easy connectivity of a joystick or gaming controller that you don't want to leave out all the time). While this computer is large, it is extremely powerful and doesn't overwork itself trying to power anything.
Overall, this thing is great, and I am very happy with its looks, build quality and performance.

I come from a background of home-building, modding, and some previous PC sponsors, but for an out-of-the-box machine, this thing is fantastic. It looks great (subtle or loud, depending on your taste), the specs are great, and it's extremely easy to dig around and tinker with if you feel inclined.
I don't game, but I do a lot of video editing and rendering, and is currently the centerpiece to my home studio. Well done.
At the time of this writing I think I'm coming close to a year of ownership.

I’m new to gaming on a pc, but I really like this one. It runs a lot of the games that I like to play and it hasn’t overheated on any of them. I will say that it got kind of hot while running Fortnite, but my settings may have been a little too high so that’s something I’ll look into. Also, when changing the fans into gaming mode they can be a little loud, but when you have your headphones in it’s not much of a problem.

Very happy with this prebuilt, got it on sale 2 years ago at this point and it’s still an absolute monster. Only slight downside is 1tb off the line but that’s an easy fix.
