Easy setup basically just plug and play. I run dual monitors a XB270HU and a XB271HU don't need the stands use a dual monitor single pole desk mount it which leaves much more working space on desk. I set both at 144hz refresh rate. My video card is an EVGA GTX 1080 FTW. Can't ask for more gaming graphics and performance are great.

First off, this YouTube video is very helpful and explains everything: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eBPqfD1tgA Overall Thoughts: The Acer Predator XB271HU is an amazing 1440p gaming monitor. I bought this monitor on sale for $679 dollars and it usually retails for $799 so it was a great deal. The monitor has a refresh rate of 165hz once overclocked in the menu with 4ms response time, and it has the g-sync technology which helps with eliminating screen tearing while gaming, and lastly its an IPS monitor. IPS monitors have great color accuracy where the colors will stay consistent when viewed from different angles. IPS monitors also have great color reproduction and the colors look very crisp and beautiful. I really really like how there was basically no backlight bleeding. There was just a tiny tiny bit not 98% backlight bleeding free which is incredible! The ASUS PG279Q had a bit of backlight bleeding and ASUS is also known for having a bit of backlight bleeding on some of their monitors. This is not a huge deal if you like that monitor because you can swap it out for another one. The only thing that might be annoying is getting another one with a bit of backlight bleeding so you might have to keep swapping it out till you get a solid one. However you could also land a solid monitor on your first try. What really impressed me for the ACER XB271HU is them not having much of a reputation for backlight bleeding and when I purchased my first one, it was 98% backlight bleeding free. One question many of you might be asking is if you should buy the ACER XB271HU or the ASUS PG279Q. Personally, I have both so I will share my experience. As far as the specs and performance goes, both monitor are basically the same. There are only a couple of differences that separates them and one of them is the design. The ASUS PG279Q has RGB lighting that only lights up in red on the stand whereas the ACER XB271HU has two metal legs that are red. They both have a nice gamery look, its just personal preference on which one you like. The second thing that separates them is the backlight bleeding. The ASUS PG279Q is known to have backlight bleeding on some of their monitors whereas not too many of the ACER XB271HU monitors have backlight bleeding. This is not a huge deal but you just might have to swap it out until you get a solid one. Other than that, they are both pretty much the same. With all of that being said. I highly recommend the ACER XB271HU! Its a great 1440p gaming monitor for those wanting a 2K monitor with amazing specs. This is one of the few gaming monitors that not only is it an IPS monitor, but it has amazing specs such as 165hz refresh rate once overclocked, 4ms response time, and the g-sync technology which helps eliminate screen tearing while gaming.

I purchased this monitor because I was looking to move from 1080p to 1440p. So far, it has been an excellent choice! The colors on the Predator by ASUS are vibrant and deep. GSync helps smooth out frame rates when things get a little busy on the screen. The brightness of the IPS screen is fantastic - next to my old 23" 1080p LED you can notice a huge difference in clarity and sharpness. Build quality on the monitor is fantastic - the stand is all metal and the monitor doesn't shake or move around if you accidentally bump your desk. Some people complain about the light bleed, but on mine I don't see anything that detracts from the picture. Overall a fantastic monitor - you definitely get what you pay for.

This monitor is a great product all around. The only real downside is the price but that's to be expected with premium equipment. Setup is easy and the construction is great. Even over-clocking the monitor is easy. All in all, if you have the cash for it, I would highly recommend this monitor. I'm already debating a second.

This is the _best_ 1440p@144Hz (OC to 165Hz) monitor you can get that is IPS+Gsync. If you have a high end Nvidia card (say, 1080 or 1080Ti - as of 5/30/2017), then pair your gaming rig with this beautiful monster. Out of the box settings might be too warm. You will have to calibrate the colors in the OSD and nvidia profile.

The monitor has worked flawlessly, I am thoroughly enjoying it. The resolution is great as you don't run in to scaling issue with this monitor on some apps like you would with a 5k monitor

Unconventional application, the monitor was purchased to mount on a surgical microscope. Previous monitor had too slow refresh rate, this one nailed it!

Using a VESA wall mount. Easy setup. OSD takes a minute to grasp but works well once you get it. Overclocked to 155 with an RTX 2080, no issues.

Been reading reviews prior to this purchase. First off, this is not a UHD monitor as advertised on the header here in Best Buy. Hopefully they have corrected this upon your reading. its 1440p, so it WQHD or Quad HD; kinda like 2K. My previous monitor was an Asus 1080p IPS monitor and I must say that the jump from 1080p to this 1440p is EYEGASMIC as the leap from 720p to 1080p. the difference is definitely there and it spoils you to never turn back! As my previous monitor was an IPS, my recent upgarde had to be an IPS as well. This XB271HU is a great IPS monitor but needs serious calibration inorder to get accurate colors. By default, whites are too yellowish and requires tinkering on the monitors color temp plus gamma adjustments through NVIDIA's control panel installed in your PC. Oh by the way, this is a G-SYNC monitor and incase your wondering why its so expensive, one big factor is the G-Sync capabilities which means you need an Nvidia Graphics card to reap the benefits. if your PC has no Nvidia card, you made a big waseftul mistake buying a monitor at this price point. Also, the buttons and onscreen display menus on this monitor is confusing and frustrating! accessing its menus are not so intuitive and hard to get use to in my opinion. However, once you've achieved a good calibration youll hardly touch those again anyways. The monitor looks its best at its native resolution. I tried downscaling it from 1440p to 1080p to match up my old monitor for a dual monitor setup and the downscaling effect on this monitor tends to make things blurry. of course blurriness is expects from downscaling but when compring this to my old monitor's 1080p, I found that my old one is way more crisp and clear compared to the XB271HU's 1080p. So I ended up using emulated-upscaling on my old 1080p monitor to 1440p through DSR settings to compensate leaving my new one to its 1440p glory. This XB271HU monitor at its native display delivers crisp images especially in gaming. While playing Witcher 3 I've noticed I could see more details on his face and the chainmail on his armor clearer even when zoomed out in thirdperson while in gameplay. Its just plain awesome! G-sync is really a unique experience! however, youll only reap the full benefits of this if your a mouse and keyboard player or playing first person shooters which eliminates lag and tearing even on fast paced gaming. however, if you play controller or dont play competitive FPS, G-sync has little difference to normal peasant monitors using V-sync. However playing older gen games like Devil May Cry running on 144hz moves really silky-fluid-awesome nomatter what controls you use! the 4 extra USB 3.0 ports on this monitor is also a plus and really helps saving you some ports on your PC. All you need to do is connect a cable to one of your PC's 3.0 hubs and your set. so basically you've lost one port and gained 4. I've used it to mount my webcam, mouse, keyboard and wireless game controller dongle on the monitor's usb ports for easier, shorter access. I'd like to also state my opinions on how future-proof this purchase is. to me, this is a high end monitor, but I give it around 2-4 years before tech enthusiasts like me would consider upgrading. reason? its not a 4K display. right now for gaming, 4K is still a hard steep to climb even with the current best graphics cards. so 2K should be awesome for now. Overall Im very happy of this purchase! it is a very expensive monitor but if you know its features well and reap its beneifts; its very much worth it!
