Great laptop. Current generation i7 evo processor with a really top speb screen. Colors are good, high resolution and very bright. I put linux on mine and once you update the kernel to support the new hardware it works really well with no issues noted so far. Battery lasts for 6-7 hours with sustained use and very light for its size. I've been using it as my daily driver for a few weeks and couldn't be happier with it.

Nice laptop. Its fast and powers up instantly. PLEASE - If you buy this the screen doesn't enable the HDR quality by default and will make your screen an 8-bit 60z display unless you right click on your desktop, select display and then enable HDR. Go to advanced settings in that same menu, and make sure your refresh rate shows 120hz. Hope this helps.

It has been over a 15 years since I have had a acer in my household, last one was a desktop and I thought I would try a Acer out, this time, being this Co-Pilot+ laptop to see what Acer is like after all these years and I have been using this for roughly 5 days now of the day of submitting this review and my thoughts that follows.... Packaging: When received, the laptop was boxed up inside another box. Very well packaged. The box itself is not snazzy with any artwork but very minimal with the logo and even showcasing a sticker showing its a VESA Certified DisplayHDR with True Black 500 and its EyeSafe Sticker and of course the specs on the side box. Upon opening the box, the laptop is protected with the common soft fabric like sleeve that encases the laptop, then a thin fabric sleep inside the laptop protecting the screen from the keys when the laptop is closed. Taking the laptop out, there is the documentation then a charger and separated from it inside the packing box was a bonus of a Laptop carrying sleeve with the Acer logo on there. Nice of Acer to include that for someone who may want to keep the laptop from getting scratched/scuffed when carrying it in a backpack or whichever if the person don't have a laptop carrying bag. Design and Build: The Swift 14 AI is a lightweight and slim laptop, It features a backlit keyboard that has no flex, providing a good typing experience with adequate tactile response. The keyboard layout is standard, with the exception of an AcerSense and AI CoPilot key. Although the keys are slightly smaller, this is likely due to the laptop's compact size. The laptop is equipped with four USB Type-C ports and three USB 3.2 Type-A ports. I would prefer one additional USB Type-C port instead of the Type-A ports, as many devices are transitioning to USB Type-C. However, depending on your peripherals, you may find the Type-A ports useful. There is also a headphone jack available for convenience. The display is impressive with a screen resolution of 2880x1800 and a refresh rate of 120Hz, it is a vibrant, vivid, rich 3k OLED touch screen with a glossy finish that makes visuals stand out. The laptop's webcam is one of the best I've encountered, offering a 1440p IR resolution. The mouse pad provides solid clicks and feels smooth and consistent to use. The monitor exhibits no flex, and the hinges are sturdy. Overall, the aluminum chassis is well constructed, highlighting the laptop's quality. First time usage: I plugged in the charger and let it charge while also powering it on for the first time. Be aware that after connecting to the internet while setting it up, it takes about 30 to 45 minutes (depending on the speed of your connection of course) to install Windows 11 updates before finally getting to the desktop. I then looked over the installed programs and found that there is what I consider to be bloatware, McAfee, ExpressVPN and one called "App Explorer" by SweetLabs. Then the usual clean up of the "apps" category with some games that I was not interested in then to give it that Windows 7 Era feel/look, I installed ExplorerPatcher and OpenShell from GitHub to make it feel personal for myself. Also set it up using fingerprint sensor logging into Windows and that did great. Performance wise, multiple programs that I used and were running, I did not experience any lag, any performance hits. It was very smooth. Some may knock on Intel ARC Graphics but bare in mind that the ARC graphics is dedicated and not some old integrated Intel basic graphics. I played some Minecraft, some older games such as Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, Fortnite and I had no gripes with smooth gameplay. I wouldn't say its a gaming laptop by any means and I wouldn't place your hope on playing the newest games out today with no flaws but older games, it will play them without a problem. Speakers: Really wish I could type out all positive on this front but the speakers is very very lackluster. Very flat, no base, no oomph, when listening, sounds like your listening to a tiny cheap speaker inside a box that barely gets loud. I would not count on being able to hear them in moderate to loud environments. If absolutely have to have sound coming from this laptop, I would highly recommend using a wireless speaker connected to it. Battery: With this being a Intel Core Ultra 7, this is part of the Lunar Lake family, highly praised for it competing in the market for top notch performance, especially in battery area and this will hit that area, it states that this can get up to multi-day usage with up to 20ish hours on battery. I did one test starting with the battery at 100% and using it around 4-6 hours a day, closing the lid when finished and opening up the next day and only browsing and reading articles, it used about 30-40% each day and on the 3rd day, having to finally having to juice it back up on the charger. This is highly impressive! Copilot: At this time, Copilot is very limited (no fault on Acer) but due to Microsoft having delayed the somewhat highly controversial feature called "Recall" If you have not heard about it, I highly suggest looking that up and then the "Click to Do" feature are still not available to the public yet as of this review. The only CoPilot AI features that are available and well known is the Copilot button where you can ask questions to the AI and then the Windows Studio Effects for your webcam where you can blur out the background and other special effects that can be done. Until these features and other features are released to the general public, then the general Copilot+ Laptops will be limited on AI features (if that is what your personally looking to take advantage of is AI 100%. One thing that is missing... Take note Acer.... It needs a SSD/HDD Indicator LED light. There is a few manufacturer's that still have this today and its vital (in my personal opinion) to have that in case the PC may appear to be frozen but maybe the PC is working really hard on installing or doing something in the background. Conclusion: Its a great vibrant Acer laptop that I enjoy a lot, aside from the abysmal speakers, battery is superb, performance is above and beyond and the build and display is as smooth and absolutely amazing.

When someone thinks of acer they may think of gaming. Another individual may think of gaming laptops. The Acer Swift 16 AI laptop is not a gaming laptop, but rather it is a fast laptop that can be used in a business setting, college, or for creativity. Want to do some light gaming? The Swift 16 should be able to handle the light gaming with its Intel Arc graphics card but make note of “light.” This is my review of the acer Swift 16” AI laptop. *TLDR at the bottom ====================== IN THE BOX: Acer included a nice protective sleeve, small charger, and some documentation with this laptop. I would’ve liked if the charger had foldable pins for easier storage. Regardless, I do like the size of the charger. This size will make it extremely easy to carry around. ====================== DESIGN/FIRST IMPRESSIONS: In terms of design, the Acer Swift 16 sports a sleek ice black color that is low key. The entire laptop is this color except for the acer logo and stickers that display hardware information. The track pad is large, and keyboard is comfortable as well. The number pad is awkwardly tiny but nevertheless, it works fine. Additionally, there are some quick setting keys mapped to the F keys. Do make the note that if your trackpad does not work, make sure to turn it on using F10. The OLED display is the part that stands out the most. Not only is it bright and vibrant but the viewing angles are incredible. I know OLED screens are vulnerable to screen burn-in but it is hard to tell how this one will fare. I have hidden the task bar which should help prevent that screen burn-in. Avoiding static images all the time should help minimize the risk too. ====================== PERFORMANCE: Upon boot, be aware that the newest version of Windows will take a while to install. About 45 minutes or so later, the computer will boot into Windows. I did notice that there was a lot of bloatware which I am not a fan of. There were several acer apps installed and third party apps like Express VPN, and McAfee. There were also pinned games in Start which were later deleted. Speakers are decent, sound is mostly flat and there is absolutely no bass. In terms of performance, the Acer Swift 16 AI is indeed swiftly. From bootup, to light web browsing, and cloud gaming, the Acer Swift will allow you to quickly open something quickly and get right into the action. If you are a creative or someone who does keep lots of tabs, apps, or multi-tasks, you may find that the amount of memory is limited. At one point, I was using, Chrome, word, and another app or two, and my memory usage went up to 70%. If you plan to multitask with this laptop , I certainly recommend upgrading to a minimum of 32GB of memory. As for the graphics card, it is a Intel Arc graphics card which is mid-tier and capable of some lightweight gaming. I mostly used XBOX game pass which does work flawlessly but honestly I would look something else more capable if a gaming laptop is what you are looking for. ====================== CONCLUSION: Overall, this is a neat business laptop with a beautiful display and sleek black look. This laptop is not flashy which is nice to have. It is a 16” laptop but yet lightweight making it easily portable. Some of the items that stick out is the OLED display and processing speed. On the other hand, some items that could use improvement are the following: If you are a multitasker, the 16GB of memory will not be enough, if possible, increase the memory to 32GB. The speakers are decent and good enough to show others videos or be on a video call but I recommend using headphones or external speaker to experience the complete sound. All in all, this acer laptop is great for a business use case, college student, or a creative. The processing speed, beautiful OLED display and the 1 tb of storage should be plenty for these users.

The brand new Acer Swift 16 is $350 off right now at Best Buy, only $850 - not a gaming laptop, only has integrated graphics, but the integrated graphics are good for light gaming. Very thin and light. Has Lunar Lake 256V which has exceptional battery life, like near Macbook levels, great single core speed, slow multi core speed, very good iGPU, and runs super cool and quiet. 2880x1600 (3:2) 120 Hz OLED, gorgeous screen, good touchpad, fantastic keyboard and a numpad which I like, for data stuff Fingerprint reader on power button is super fast and accurate Speakers are literally god awful, like laughably bad. Worse than phone speakers. Back left side: 2x Thunderbolt 4 USB C, 1 USB A, full size HDMI Back right side: 1x USB A, combo mic/headphone jack Only other annoyance besides the terrible speakers is the fact that both USB C ports (used for charging) are on the same side. I like being able to charge from both sides But overall, for $850 this, in my mind, is a truly insane deal for lightweight programming/simple gaming/general use (really anything that isn't going to use a lot of multicore CPU), so long as you don't use the speakers very often. If it was full price, at $1200, I would probably be looking elsewhere simply because you can get something that matches this everywhere, but with better speakers. But at $850, just insane value.

We tried to look at many laptops with 16 inch and OLED, Touch, and only with numeric keys: not so many! Most of them were overpriced and only 1 Gen Intel Ultra 7 CPU. So Samsung, Asus were present very poorly and Acer were the only choice. There is still doubts about sturdiness for display and surviving this thin laptop in next years. We'll see. After 1 week of usage: got some more extra discount - better value. PLUSES: OLED screen, Updated ARC external Intel video card, AI CPU, Last Intel. Speedy NVMe WD disk. Acer software is not really bad - we wish there were more OLED care settings. Who know how fast this screen burns here. Thunderbolt 4 with charging with any good GAN charger. Webcam 2k is ok. Main thing here- Windows Hello supported - so Face Unlock is great! Finger unlock is good too. Battery keeps long - 3-4 days with browsing, especially if you setup it right. Fast Intel Ultra 256V - 35W. Good stylish thin laptop body. Windows 11 is good as usual. Nobody said - here is included DTS X codec with W11. So surround sound in stereo phones is DTS -> INCLUDED! CONS: Terrible sound from speakers. But still this DTS program codec helps to make it sounds with bass etc. (on maximum) more or less. Bad Backlit in Keyboard: ohhh - so dull dim absent light on max... how come Acer? In 2024?

Pros ------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Screen is vibrant, clear, and responsive. It does ship with only 60hz as the base refresh rate, so be sure to change that to 120hz in the display settings when setting up for the first time. I found HDR to not look quite as accurate as non-HDR so I left that off, but your milage may vary. I may just need to calibrate at some point. Others were complaining about the brightness not being high enough, but I almost never use the laptop outside and I have found it to be plenty bright in every environment I've used it in so far. I usually use it around 1/3 of the brightness. - Integrated graphics with Intel Arc is perfect for light gaming. I've been able to play most of my casual games here and there with no issues. I always game while plugged in, so I'm not concerned with gaming battery life. - Keyboard feels pretty good overall, considering its a thin laptop. Unfortunately, they decided to cram a number pad on the right, which is almost unusable because of how narrow the keys are. I would rather have had a centered keyboard and trackpad without the number pad. Cons ----------------------------------------------------------------------- - Battery life is great, once you disable all the Acer Sense software and AI suite of apps that run in the background. Out of the box, I was only seeing about 5 hours battery life. After disabling Acer UserSense and various other pre-installed apps, I shot up to around 9 hours total. Those features may be nice, but not at that cost. These should come installed, but off or disabled and only turn them on if you prefer. - Mousepad has some glitches with multi-point touches. Usually, scrolling with two fingers will periodically press on the screen by accident. Using the gestures is always a challenge. This happens far too often for this price point of a laptop. I have resulted to just using a mouse most of the time as it has gotten quite annoying. - Gaming for short periods of time get the lapto quite hot, specifically right above the keyboard. Its not that much of an issue, as it it a thin laptop with a cooling solution to match, but just wanted to give the disclaimer that it gets toasty. Luckily, the hinge design allows the laptop base to lift off the desk surface, increasing the available airflow for the fans. - BIGGEST CON - Speakers. These speakers are absolutely not usable. Very cheap, tinny sounding speakers with no rich sound at all. After playing around with the DTS:X Ultra app, maxing out the bass and turning the trebble half way up, made them slightly less ear periceingly terrible. I cannot beleive at this price that that was the thing that was cheaped out on and overlooked. Previous reviews stated this when I was researching if this was the laptop I wanted to go with, but I didn't think they could be this bad. I came from a 2020 HP Envy X360 with a Bang & Olufson and that sounded so much better than this laptop. I really wish this was something they put more thought into. Just over one month of use and overall, this is a great laptop. Performance is there, battery gets me through the day, gaming is capable, and the OLED screen is absolutely beautiful. I can't speak to the CoPilot or AI capabilities as I have no current use for them in any of my tasks, but they are there for people who do use or need them. I got it on sale for $849, and at that price, I would absolutely reccomend this to friends or family. At the normal sale price, it may be a different conversation.

I was able to get this Acer laptop on-sale, so the price was good. It was my first Acer. The things I like about it: HD OLED display, generous SSD and RAM, more-than-adequate Intel processor, useful Acer apps for monitoring and support. I read complaints by others about the built-in speakers. Mine are adequate for my needs, but I'm not an audiophile who needs HD Dolby stereo to play a YouTube video. Others complained about the numeric keypad being smaller than the normal keys. It is, but I don't find this to be an issue. My main complaint about the keypad is that it doubles as navigation keys (start/end, page up/down) so I find myself pressing NumPad on and off to type and edit. A separate set of navigation keys would be nice. (My Lenovo has this.) My main complaint is that one of the laptop hinges broke within a few weeks of normal home use. No damage or abuse caused this. Poor hinges is a common complaint with Acers. So, I had my first experience with Acer customer support. The process was simple enough. But you MUST mail-in (or hand-deliver) your Acer to an authorized service center. (For me, the closest one is more than a 2.5 hour drive.) And you can expect a couple of weeks before you get it back. (My Lenovo had an at-home repair warranty which was MUCH, MUCH nicer. I would have paid extra for this service on the Acer, but it was not available.) Replacing hinges is not a job for amateurs. Removing the case for the display to free and replace a hinge can easily break the display screen because things are sealed with strong, double-sided tape. So, I didn't attempt it. Bottom line: Nice laptop with the right stuff at a good price (on-sale) but cheap chassis construction. Acer should really invest in a better chassis and hinges.

I was looking for a multi-purpose laptop that could run office tools as well as 3d printer design software when I picked up the Acer Swift 16" 3K OLED.  After a week of use, I find that it is a quality touchscreen laptop both in its visual appeal and multi-tasking ability, but it does come with a few quirks regarding the layout and features.   In the box is the laptop, power cable, and soft case. The setup is the standard Windows workflow.  As far as the build, this laptop is light at less than 4 lbs and boasts a HDMI port, 2 x USB-A 3.2 ports, 2 x USB-C 4 (Thunderbolt) ports, and a headphone jack. One of the things I love about this laptop is that it is a 16" laptop that has a nice, easy to view, bright screen at 340 nits brightness, with minimal border and vibrant colors to include true black that comes with an OLED. The screen is considered 3K resolution, which gives sharper more defined images due to having the increased pixel count. In addition to the resolution, and good news for the casual gamer, is the 0.2ms response time. On the flip side, I do wish there was a better graphics card than the Intel Arc to match the quality of this display. As for viewing, the screen is glossy, which you can view from nearly any angle, and it has about the same reflectiveness as a cell phone screen. While not significant, I did find that I had to position the screen to certain angles when working in areas with bright overhead lighting.  The keyboard layout is as expected, keys respond well, and have enough travel and weight to be accurate for both typing and gaming. However one of the quirks to this layout is that Acer tried to squeeze a keypad into a space that really doesn't fit. The number keys are narrower than a full keypad, and are so compact that it's hard to use them if you're used to a full sized number pad.  I'd much rather see that real estate used for better purposes such as speakers, new features, or even optimized keyboard layout. The last thing to note about the build, is that the screen will lay flat, the hinges pivot the base up and away from the desk, so it allows for some air flow, even when fully extended. I do wish the hinges were slightly beefier since the design puts some  downward force on them when the screen is at a 90 degree angle. Overall the build is solid, the screen is fantastic, and keyboard design is ok.  As far as features go, the front facing 1440p QHD camera is nice, it offers detailed resolution and does not wash out in well lit areas. It is one of the best quality cameras I've seen on this level of laptop build. A feature that may eventually stand out is that the Acer Swift is all about AI, both productivity tools and speed of these tools, and is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 series 2 processor. In addition to the CoPilot+ tools, Acer has loaded its AI supported PurifiedView and PurifiedVoice tools that allow lighting adjustments, blurring, and noise filtering during video conferencing. Note that many of the AI tools are expected to be released in later builds, so this is just a small glimpse into what is planned to come. The Intel NPU used to support this AI performs up to 47 TOPS (trillions of operations / second). If you're new to AI focused chips, NPUs are typically less powerful than GPUs, but they also consume much less power which means you can run in a slim laptop build without having to beef up the build or fan capacity. In addition to the processor, the laptop comes with 16 GB RAM,  1 TB storage capacity, and the somewhat lackluster Intel ARC graphics card that does support DirectX12.2 with ray tracing.  A few other things to note, this laptop comes with wifi 7 to include multi-link capability. I have this laptop paired with a wifi 6 router and there is zero speed degradation. As I mentioned this isn't something I picked up for gaming, but it isn't terrible for lag or tearing, and can keep up with the majority of the games I cycled through from Steam. While not surprising, this is not a laptop you'll buy for the speaker quality.  The built in speakers are flat, tinny sounding, and not positioned towards you regardless of angle. Do yourself a favor and run an external speaker or a headset for video conferencing or streaming. Lastly, the mousepad has an AI illumination that will light up when AI functions are in use. Not exactly a useful tool, but something that is different and will give you a clear indicator when AI processes are occurring and potential bandwidth implications if you're using other software.  Bottom line, this build is unique, it's got some great horsepower for multi-tasking, and alludes to some neat AI features that are yet to be released. My top issues are the underwhelming graphics card, the bizarre skinny keypad, and the speakers. My top favorite features are the processor's ability to multitask, rendering speeds are quick during modeling, and I absolutely love the crisp bold images the display produces. I think this ranks as a very solid multi-purpose laptop, it can game, work, and create with ease.

This was a great replacement for my old Acer Ultrabook. It has a beautiful touchscreen and long battery life but is still light enough to easily carry around. It has the second-generation Intel Core 7 processor which is a big step up from the first-gen processors included in many PCs, so all of the new Copilot+ and AI features are available.

So far, the speed has been as I had anticipated. My previous laptop was 12 years old, so you can imagine the difference. The touch screen is essential for my business. I enroll people into insurance and retirement programs, so applications can be completed live. Video quality is very good. Sound quality is adequate. The touch pad is predicatively responsive. Having a 10 key pad is a plus. I do miss an SD card slot. I could have used that for photography

This laptop is remarkable. The new Core Ultra 7 Series 2 w/ ARC is night and day to the Series 1. This thing can run in performance mode for hours and remains cool to the touch. Also the ARC iGPU is now 150% faster! While not a hardcore gamer, this laptop is perfect for day-to-day productivity. No fan noise, no heat, fast, long battery life, what's not to love. Say so long to my cooling pad! I've heard some people complain about the speakers. They are fine and very loud. If you're an audiophile, put on the headphones but if you just want to watch a movie online, these are great. And the screen? What can I say - amoled bliss and so bright it almost hurts your eyes. All this for $849 on sale, are you kidding me? Run don't walk to buy this!

I needed a new laptop, as the old one bit the proverbial dust. This one seems just fine so far, good display, fast, reliable performance, plenty of storage (SSD) and memory (RAM). I haven't actually tested battery performance yet, but Windows 11 settings estimates nearly 6 hours of use.

This laptop feels really premium to use. I love the low power draw and thus less heat. The numpad is unfortunate waste of space as others have noted, but the keyboard is alright for a laptop. Trackpad is nice. The screen is amazing to look at. Really clear and awesome color. Easier to run games play just fine. Even some demanding ones can run sort of ok on lowest settings. General use of the laptop feels quite snappy. Other laptops have felt sluggish to me just launching a web browser or using the OS itself. This one somehow is quick.

This computer is absolutely remarkable. It’s very fast and has everything I need to use it in my upcoming business. The image is the most incredible part. I will be using it for 2D and 3D mapping. From everything I’ve seen so far, the maps should be nothing short of breathtaking. For the first time, in a long time, I’m so excited to get to work just to enjoy the results of my selection.
