No More Wi-Fi Issues! ThisMocaAdapterRocks! This Actiontech Moca Adaptor is amazing! I was fed up with my Wi-Fi issues. Videos buffering on YouTube all time, slow laggy PS4 Fortnite game play and having to reset my router every time I lost my Wi-Fi signal. I didn't want to drill holes in my floors to run an ethernet cable so I researched on YouTube for alternatives. I came across Moca Adapters, Powerline Adapters and WIFI extenders. Moca adapters came out on top in every comparison however Powerline adapters are a good option as well. Moca adapters use your existing and coaxial cable and cable box to connect to the internet. It was easy to setup. It took me about hour. Now I have fast internet with no Wi-Fi issues. My Dell laptop, PS4 and Sony Smart TV are now connected to the internet via ethernet/moca adaptor and coaxial cable. FYI. The Moca Adapter has only one ethernet port. So, if you want to connect multiple devices like me you’ll have to buy an internet switch and ethernet cables for each device. See pictures and please forgive me for the poor cable management. Also, if you have a multiroom DVR setup through your cable tv provider you already have Moca Technology in your cable boxes and router. So, if you’re sick of Wi-Fi issues, pick up a set.

These are so easy to set up, you don't need any technical experience. Everything to fully set up one connection is included. I have my router/ modem downstairs and was having my wifi connect to my computer, which is upstairs. My connection wasn't great so I was looking up workarounds that didn't involve a pricey involvement from my I$P. Discovered moca and decided to try it out. I immediately saw a vast improvement on my internet connection now that I'm wired instead of wireless... around 8x better and actually at my advertised internet speed. Over a month in and no problems

Comes with instructions and extra cables. Easy to install and works perfectly. Used one adapter at the point of entry where the coaxial cable comes in home. Converted spare bedroom into an office and connected 2nd adapter to coaxial cable there. My internet speed has greatly improved. As good as any ethernet connection. Better than the unreliable WiFi I was getting before. Moca works! Outstanding!

Two days ago I had no idea this existed. My sons room is on second floor, and I was not interested in running a network cable to his room. His PS4 was running on WiFi and just not cutting it. His room has a coax from the basement and thats all. This worked great. Ethernet to this product over coax back to Ethernet. 10 min install. Now I don’t have to run network. Looks like it will not interfere with to signal but we stream tv, so I didn’t try.

Solved my DFS / Mesh WiFi problems

I have been battling an issue with my gigabit ethernet / mesh wifi for nearly a year. I had no idea why my wifi router would switch channels all the time and always move me to the slowest / most crowded channels. ATT was no help of course. Clueless. I was familiar with ActionTech as I have purchased some HDMI wireless extenders in the past and they worked very well and knew they make solid products. The good users at DSLreports suggested what I was experiencing was a DFS issue where radar is detected and per FCC mandate, they channel must be switched. I live in an are with many wifi networks and they are all crammed into 2 groups of 5ghz and the speeds are horrible and inconsistent. Worst of all, it would switch in the middle of watching a program or uploading a file. The mesh network would then take 5-10 minutes to come back online. Not good when you're at the end of a program without a dvr. Other times, I would experience buffering and would run a speediest and would be getting 10-40 mb on a gigabit connection. I am in a 2 story house where running ethernet is not really an option. If you have coax cable, this will help you solve an issue like mine. Now I have my mesh extender basically hardwired and have the other port from my extender going to my AppleTV where I am getting 700-950 mb. You'll may see a few ms difference in the ping, but it's a fair tradeoff. I feel like this product is expensive for what it is compared to others, but It solved my issue. Lowering my blood pressure from the aggravation is worth the money. What sets this apart is that it is a bonded connection which I understand gives the speeds compared to other solutions. I am a happy camper now!

Like many others I don't have ethernet routed throughout my home. New construction 2018, but it does have the coaxial cable tv wired in all rooms. I have this product connected directly to my At&t router downstairs and the other end in my bedroom. 1,000 Mbps service, with google nest as my mesh wifi. With the mesh wifi system I would get anywhere between 150-250mbps, which is adequate for most uses, but to guarantee a stable gaming connection I opted to try this product. The hardwire in my room is to my laptop and consistently get over 900mbps down and over 300 up. I was amazed how well this works and I wish I would have known about it earlier. Attached a screen shot of the Ookla speed test 946!... Absolutely amazing results, highly recommend this product.

I was prepared, but dreading, to run a cat6 cable from my downstairs router to an upstairs access point. Wasn’t going to be easy. Then I just happened to see the Actiontec Bonded MoCA 2.0 Wired Network adapters in the shelf at Best Buy. This product saved me what I’m sure would have been a ton if aggravation running the cat6 cable. It uses your existing coax cable for transmitting network data. And it works! I was skeptical but decided I would return it if it didn’t work. So I glad I tried it. I have 1gig fiber service. I direct cable connection to my Linksys router gives me 600-700 mbps down and 700-800 up. I get the same speeds with a direct cable connection to my access point using this product. Same with the wireless speeds. I would still use cat6 if I was prewiring due to cost as this little jewel was $150 but if the wiring project is going to be difficult I highly recommend this product. Oh, and I should mention it only took 30 minutes to install it and have the access point connected to my router.

These MoCA adapters work fantastic for me. I have been using 4 of them in my home for 2 months. My home is 25+ years old with the coax worked over by previous owners (had both cable/satellite subscribers). Even with shoddy coax in my home, I consistently get speedtests of 600Mbps-800Mbps in my basement home office; modem is on the 3rd floor. Just plug 'em in--it's that easy--no password, user name, app or account creation. One unit plugs in to my router to send/receive data from other units. I use a switch on each of the other 3 of them (2 setup for gaming console/TV/entertainment centers and 1 in my home office). Faster than Wi-Fi/mesh and more reliable. I have tried all sorts of networking solutions. I HIGHLY recommend these for worry-free and FAST networking.

I don't have cable TV. I utilize IPTV for everything and these little guys give me a wired ethernet with about a 2 percent drop in speed. I get 900 Down on average from ethernet to router. With these I get around 850-875. My netgear powerline 2000 averaged about 65-70 (My house is 4 years old so the electrical is new). If you are trying to decide between powerline vs these and you are willing to watch a few YouTube videos on how to do your own cables in your house, I would pick these. They are more expensive for a reason. They WORK to carry your internet at almost to speed instead of limiting you. No trouble shooting electrical wire interference. Or trying to get them on the same circuit. I have read reviews that state they have issues if you are trying to use with cable TV. But if you are spending this kind of money to have an ethernet connection, switch to an internet TV service. They have come along way in the past 5 years.

We first bought the NETGEAR - Powerline AC1200 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter (2-pack) - White. This never worked for us and then learned the wall outlets must be on the same breaker. Our ethernet connector was upstairs and we needed ethernet access downstairs. After going through 4 Netgears, thinking it was the product, that’s when we learned the plug outlets were on separate breakers and must be on the same connection. So that’s when we purchased this product because our coaxial is on the same powerline. We are able to connect upstairs to downstairs using the coaxial line. The internet is fast for the service we have and it does not disrupt the T.V. signal. We have no problems with this product. We did purchase the extended warranty for future insurance. This was easy to install and get going. We have 3 people on at the same time and no loss of speed for us. Had to purchase a hub though to hold the additional ethernet cables. Worth every penny.

Works really well with FiOS Router!

I initially set this up as a way to get my FiOS Gigabit speeds through my home over the existing coax cables and connected it to my Netgear AC2400 wireless router that I've been using with my FiOS service (over a 1Gbps Cat 6 Ethernet cable to the ONT box). I've since changed my setup such that I have the FiOS G3100 router connected via 1Gbps Cat6 Ethernet to the ONT box and have the FiOS router's built in Coax port driving my MoCA network so that I can use both of these adapters elsewhere in the house to setup additional access points for better WiFi coverage. The performance is incredible. Connected via ~50ft of RG6 coax cable, I'm seeing 800+Mbps with an 5-11ms ping. This lets my access points achieve ~600Mbps over a 5Ghz WiFi 5 connection. I will definitely be purchasing more of these since they're probably the simplest way to get Gigabit speeds throughout a house that doesn't have Ethernet already in the walls.

It's crazy how easy it is to install this and what it provides. Without this tech you would need the cable company or a contractor to wire your house for a max internet connection. For me, I had to improve a very erratic wifi connection in our TV room....for $150 my TV room connection now matches what I get on my desktop computer. 20 minutes to install and I was good to go. The kit comes with everything you need to upgrade one room or area of your house but you can buy extra units if you want to do more. Basically, it runs your internet through the coaxial cable already in place in your home. No loss of net speed, no phone interference and no change in the sound or picture quality on your TV. If you have cable and have been fighting to improve a weak wifi connection, then I can't recommend this enough.

Huge boost to speed my computer across the house using existing cable line. Couldn’t be easier to hook up. However I don’t get more than 600-700mbps speed. People will say it’s the cable (it is essentially new) or the connectors (all good quality) or the distance (less than 75’) but the connection is 100% reliable.

Plug and play setup, sending WiFi over the existing coax cable already present in my house allows for a consistent internet connection. Works much better than PowerLine Adapters. Great option if you cannot or don't want to run ethernet. I'm using it to stream 4k content. Would be 5-star if price was under $100.

Despite being in a small NYC apartment, we have had issues with the range of our wireless network. We have tried range extenders, switching wifi adapters, routers and even internet providers to no avail. Finally, after doing considerable research we purchased the MoCA adapter to set up a new wireless access point in our bedroom. Setup was incredibly easy and it worked instantly. It's a bit expensive, but (provided that you have cable jacks in both areas) I would highly recommend this product as an alternative to a range extender or repeater if you want to extend the range of your wireless network.

I wanted to add wired ethernet to the 2nd floor of my house. We are wired for cable TV (we have FIOS) but no easy way to pull CAT5 cable (too many firestops inside the walls between floors!). It was very easy to connection the MoCA adapter to the cable system, then connect a 2nd floor router to the ethernet side of the MoCA adapter ..... neatly sidesteps all the wiring hassles! The router supplied with our Verizon system already speaks MoCA so no configuration changes were needed at the router end. These units are pricey but overall I'm still giving it a good value since it avoids having to pull cables.

Had I know years ago that I could use the existing co-axial cable running through my home to deliver high speed internet access I would have purchased this years ago. Forget the wireless mesh networks, this is the way to go. If you can plug in a lamp you can set up these units. Attach a cat 5 cable from the router, screw on the existing cable and do the same at your computer, game station, or whatever requires a stable high speed wired connection, five minutes is all it takes.

Bought these because we have a two-story house and only can use one modem as our Internet service provider only lets you use one modem per account. These adapters work great because we are able to send Internet connection over our co-axial cable from our downstairs modem up to our upstairs where we have a secondary office. It’s nice to be able to have wired and dedicated fast Internet on both floors of our house.
