I bought two of these hoping they would be a good portable drive, but no. Neither one works via USB-C with my M1 Macbook Pro, or iPad Pro. I have tried multiple different quality cables, including the ones that came with the drives, and different formats. It seems the only way to use these with an Apple chip device is via USB-A. The seem to work fine on my intel based iMac though. Instead of this drive I would recommend the Samsung T7 since they work great on all devices.

When this item was purchased, it was for the central purpose of external, expanded storage for my Wii U. At first. I was able to transfer my save and download data onto it, but larely it's been an issue to get my console to recognize it and I've had to restart my Wii U numerous times to even get it registered. Not only that, but any atrempts to download as opposed to transfer from internal memory to drive has caused corruption due to loss of registered connection. While ideal for PC and possibly mobile, as for expanded memory for gaming consoles, I would advise checking other ssds first.
