TV Wall Mount / Installation Oct 02, 2018 When I purchased the service I was informed that I was purchasing the mounting and in-wall cable / cord installation. First let me say that Best Buy uses 3rd party resources. The work is not completed by their “Geek Squad”. The Installer arrived with a rude and dismissive attitude. He refused to take a minute to discuss any of my concerns. I was then informed, “In-wall installation is $250. You didn’t pay $250. I’m not going to do it. Talk to your salesman.” I gave him two (2) Surge Protectors, each with 8 outlets and 2 USB inputs / 2700 Jules Protection each that are next plugged into a UPS. He chose to use only one surge protector, instead plugging in about $5,000 worth of equipment into the wall outlet with a simple One to Three plug adapter that has minimal protection. My entertainment credenza is about 150 plus.pounds. It had been effectively placed and left on two (2) of the AudioQuest ‘Pearl’ HDMI cables that I had given him to use. He did not know how to connect my Bose Sound bar to the rear Woofer / Speakers, so left it sitting on the floor as well as my MacBook Pro and a Blu-Ray Player piled on top of it. (Directly in the path that I use to walk from the hallway to my bed). Several cords / cables were left visible, some because he did not use the the correct length; i.e., 8 ft. HDMI being used for a short 18 inch run that is already out of view, behind the credenza, and a useing a 2 ft. cable too short to be hidden from site. Since there would be no in-wall install I gave him a self-adhesive Cable Cover that He Did Not bother to Use either, leaving a group of semi-covered cables showing. I made a complaint with BEST BUY. I have not yet heard the outcome.

The service was awful. There were holes put in my walls that had to be patched up. The project ended up taking 2 days. I had to miss the first part of my day at work. Then, the first part of my Saturday was taking up because the guys had to come back. I live in an apartment so once I leave, I will be responsible for all the damage that BEST BUY caused. I also paid for my surround sound to be reconnected but you can see by the pictures. I was left to set that up myself.

Tv was broken, chipped at the bottom! Second time this is happening. Spent lot of time in a busy schedule to resolve this!

The agents didn’t mount the tv as paid for and promised. A full month later still staring at full boxes

I recently had my TV installed by the Geek Squad, and I couldn't be more impressed with the service! From start to finish, the experience was seamless and professional. Booking Process: Scheduling the installation was great with a Best Buy Team member . Installation: On the day of the installation, the technicians arrived right on time. They were extremely professional and took great care to protect my furniture and walls. They quickly assessed the space and discussed options with me to ensure the TV was positioned perfectly for optimal viewing. Expertise & Attention to Detail: The technicians were incredibly knowledgeable. They ensured the TV was securely mounted and that all wiring was neatly hidden, making the setup look clean and polished. They also took the time to calibrate the settings to get the best picture and sound quality. Clean-Up: After completing the installation, the technicians left the area spotless. There was no mess or debris, and they even took the time to ensure all the cables were organized and out of sight. Overall Experience: I am beyond satisfied with the service I received. The installation was quick, efficient, and the technicians went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend Geek Squad for any TV installation needs. Excellent service, professionalism, and great attention to detail!

The agents “2” mounted a 65” tv and did a great job with the mounting as far as setting up my speakers and receiver was connected except for actually setting up the speakers sound quality I’d like to have that resolved

Geek Squad did a great job with unmounting and removing my old TV and mounting my TV in my bedroom after removing the TV from my family room. They went above and beyond. Very Knowledgeable crew.

The Geek Squad team performance was outstanding. Despite the difficulties of removing an existing 80” tv located above a fireplace, and mounting a new 85” Samsung, required relocating the existing mounting bracket’s to compensate for the different size of the new set. The team of William and his partner flawlessly executed this installation without any problem. In addition, the second phase of their visit entailed relocating the 80” set to an upstairs bedroom, removing the existing 75” set and properly mounting the 80” set. This task required the agents to carry the 80” set up two flights of stairs in a curved staircase and into a bedroom. This also was a difficult task, and although the 80” set was heavy and clumsy due to its size, Bill and his assistant carried the set upstairs without any disruption to adjoins walls or staircase. The second install required taking down the 75” set and resetting the brackets to properly hold the 80”set. They are to be commended for not only their technical expertise,but for taking on the entire project with a smile, a positive attitude, and a determination to assure that, once the total installation was complete, that it met all of my expectations! Their willingness to provide exceptional service was evident in their performance!

A must have if you are purchasing a larger TV that you will mount on the wall. They did great work! Plus they made sure to clean up after they were done.

The installers were super professional and quick. They easily moved the TVs in and out of the rooms and used all of the equipment I requested. I would definitely do this again.
