I got this to replace an older version that was 4 years old. While I love the out come of the photos I edit and the easy of use on this updated version. It will freeze up often. You can't even x out of it when it does this. You have to go into task manager to close it out. For some it may not be a big issue, but when your a professional photographer and have a lot of clients, this can become a big issue when you have to start over every 20 to 30 minutes. When using some features it will actually show another photo behind the photo your working on that isn't even part of the photos you are doing, showing red and green splotch squares all over the photo. Unless you undo the edit it will stay that way. Also slow running. think I will go back to the original version I had. I have tried reinstalling the new one to be sure it wasn't a mess up in the installing but same issue. I would still recommend just because once you get the photo done it looks amazing!

I used to use the full fledge Photoshop back in the day, but it's overkill for what I do with creating flyers, webpages, and banners (good ones) and some quick home movie stuff. I have On1 Photo Raw and Final Cut Pro if I need to get granular with things, but Elements is usually the easy, quick fix that can get the job done and look outstanding without having to learn all the intricacies of a real professional program. Elements will guide you if you're a novice or let you drive if you know exactly what you want. Love this software. The flyer posted here is done with Elements.

---SETUP--- The setup both of these softwares couldn’t be easier. There’s a website you go to initiate downloading of the software. After opening the program that you download, it’s a guided process. Enter the provided serial numbers (your key as proof that you own the product) to unlock the full features. ---FEATURES--- The key feature of this package is that is includes both Photoshop Elements (for editing pictures) and Premiere Elements (for editing video). Both have their specific strengths and combined can make for some powerful editing tools. ---PERFORMANCE--- The performance of both of these pieces of software is quite simplistic in nature yet powerful in end product. I come from a background of heavy photo/video editing for my own YouTube channel and live streaming. I use some of the more expensive brands found only on Mac OS. I rarely use PCs to edit anything, but I decided to give this a try. I quickly noticed that as a new user to the software, I didn’t have to waste hours on YouTube looking for tutorials on how to do something specific I wanted. Many of the included tutorials would get me the results of specifically what I wanted to do. As an example, I took a picture of my wife and I in front of a green screen. I wanted to remove the green screen and add a different background. I was able to accomplish this in minutes even though I haven’t spent much time with Adobe products before. Once you get more and more experience using the software, you can turn off the guided section and use the full tools at your leisure. ---EXPECTATIONS--- The product exceeds my expectations. For half the price of software that I use, I was able to do what I wanted with both, photos and videos. What’s more, you can download a 30 day trial from the website itself to see if it’s something you can get into and easily understand. I highly recommend that for people who have never tried editing photo or video but want to begin dabbling in it. ---VALUE--- The price for Photoshop Elements and Premier in terms of value is very competitive because two softwares are included for one price. If you had an interest in one but weren’t sure about the other, its an easy way to test it out at an affordable price. ---APPROVAL--- I highly recommend this product for people who may have been toying with free photo/video software on their phones or PCs but are ready to make a bigger commitment to something more powerful. If you’re a new YouTuber or streamer and want to get that professional look, then you’ve found what you’ve been needed to level you up.

If I was limited to only a handful of programs on my computer, one of them would be Photoshop (Elements or Pro). If you expanded the list only a little, I’m taking Premiere Elements, too. I can’t hide my love affair with Adobe’s photo and video programs and these two represent the best value for me, a serious hobbyist. “Photoshop” has entered the dictionary because of its unique capability to modify photos, yes, even change reality, in ways that result in stunning art or deception, if that’s your intent. No software does it better, and with these new versions, none makes it easier. EASE of USE: Unlike so many high-end photo and video editors, these don’t require you to take college extension courses to learn how to use them effectively. I insist on using these applications with minimal reading of the guidance, and I still manage to generate fun projects. If you’re still using Photoshop Elements 15 or older, so much has changed in the (53) Step-by-step Guided Edits that you owe yourself this gift of time and effort saved. This is a great collection of easy-to-accomplish tools and edits. For those of us with more recent upgrade versions, it’s a bit tougher to decide, but I can easily recommend the upgrade, if only for the Auto-generated creations. I get to show off, and it takes me little effort. Adobe has continuously improved and added to the guidance and automation (or WIZARDS) features of both of these products. You can Auto Create collages by selecting from a library of templates. There’s a Meme creator. You can even turn your photos into sketches . . . on different simulated paper types and with pen or pencils. Adobe has improved the “Organizer” App which finds your media, and it’s useful. FEATURES: This is your “photo emergency room” dedicated to recovering and correcting picture problems. Do you have bad lighting, faded images. scratches, noise, dirt, closed eyes. stranger in the background, poor exposure, ex-boyfriend you want exed out? Fix’em all with photoshop. Elements can manage your scanner to digitize your photo albums. (Did you know almost every printer/copier is also a photo scanner?) It will help you bring back old family photos and make them look like they were taken yesterday. Premiere Elements has its own useful set of automated movie making processes to simplify your life. Premiere will create a structured story, auto-create a movie, or generate a video collage, all with a selection of styles. You can let Premiere select media, start with a template, add titles and do some creative editing. SUMMARY: Most Photoshop Elements or Premiere buyers, if they’re like me, decide how often to upgrade, not whether or not to buy these applications. I use them often enough that I can usually justify the purchase because I’ll take all the new features when I can. You may feel differently. In any event, this is a photography tool every serious photographer falls in love with.

I am very excited about this software! Editing photos and videos are a hobby of mine and this program provides an opportunity for me to practice and expand my skills. For anyone with a creative mind, this software will be like a playground. The download was quick and it runs efficiently. Moreover, it is suitable for various purposes - for professional work or for fun - providing different tools and methods correspondingly. Since I am no expert and have a lot to learn, I will be spending most of my time in the “Guided” segment, which includes the basics of editing, black & white, special edits, fun edits, color, and photomerge. There is also the option for “Quick” and “Expert.” This software also contains an organizer to keep the “Workplace” neat and simple to use. Furthermore, with Premiere Elements, you can also edit videos. The program also forms “auto-creations” with pictures you import that you can edit and share. Again, I am very excited to create, enhance, and share my pictures and videos using this resourceful program.

High Quality Software that's Fun to Use!

The two things I love the most about Adobe Elements and Adobe Premiere Elements is they're both well-designed, high-quality software and they're both absolutely fun to use. Every year, I mention that when I upgrade and the new 2019 versions are no different. This software is designed to get beautiful things done quickly. The hard stuff is already handled by the software. The shear number of easy to use, point & click style features is staggering. And if there's ever something you just can't seem to figure out how to do, all you need do is refer to the embedded tutorials on most everything. Always work with a copy of your media and don't be afraid try everything this software has to offer. You can always hit undo or make a new copy. If you want to really get carried away check out the YouTube tutorials. While doing my review I created some baby collages, did some fun image enhancements, and edited a video using a lot of video adjustments. I think my favorite photo fun edit is called "Out of Bounds" and is what I used to spill the leaves out of the frame of the little boy in the autumn leaf pile. I had my doubts that the detailed, irregular edges of the leaves could be handled by the selection algorithm, but it worked. Collages have to be my second favorite fun edit and making triptych images one of my top 5 fun edits. Low Key is another guided edit that allows you to heavily darken the background while you pull out the subject using highlights. It's great when you have a good subject like the infant, but a distracting, busy, or otherwise useless background. I use the Premiere Elements video editor mostly for editing drone footage. So to test the software this year, I edited a poor cellphone video of a little girl riding her new bicycle. The moving video was taken from another moving bicycle near hers and the raw video was full of shakes, jerks, poor framing, and other common defects found in raw motion video. Using the features in the video editor I was able splice, join, transition, zoom, pan, edit, and otherwise enhance it to create a not-to-horrible, 50 sec video of a little girl riding her new bike a few hours after learning to ride. Unfortunately, I was disappointed again this year. As a retired software engineer I pride myself on finding bugs in other people's software and once again I could find none in the Adobe Elements suite for 2019. I played with it for over 2 weeks and could not find even one. I'm sure Elements isn't perfect; no software is. But, I'll be darned if I can find any. Kudos to Adobe's designers, developers, and testers. So once again, and it is with great pleasure, that I can wholeheartedly recommend Adobe Elements 2019 and Adobe Premiere Elements 2019 without any reservations whatsoever. This high-quality, easy-to-use, feature-rich software is well worth the money.

I have been a long time serious amateur photographer, and have slowly familiarized myself with many of the photo editing programs out there. I refuse to fall in line with Adobe's "subscription" model, requiring users to pay a perpetual monthly fee, like a cable bill, to access the full Photoshop and Lightroom. For basic photo editing needs, tone, crop, dodging, burning, color correction, blemish removal, eye and teeth whitening, image sharpening, along with advanced filters, effects, panoramic stitching, etc, Elements does it all easily for one affordable price with no recurring fees. I update my version of Elements every few years to grab the most recent handful of software enhancements. I have not yet accessed the Premiere Elements side of this combo pack, but will be doing some video blogging and am excited over the reviews of how easy it is to edit video files to great looking finished product.

I like this product because it offers the most used functionality of the premium package, photoshop CC, at an affordable price. I also do not like subscriptions in general although I do understand that if you operate a business, cash flow is an issue and it makes more sense. I also like getting both the photo editing and video editing products together at an incremental increase over either of the single products. I got this on sale so this was an excellent deal. Although you can get other products cheaper, this is the most widely accepted standard. I have purchased this product before but I have not had a chance to compare the functionality with the past products. I try to keep up with products every so often so as not to become obsolete. There are much better reviews elsewhere on the web.

This is not a program that you simply install and set out using right away. Luckily there are plenty of YouTube videos, or books, depending on how you like to learn that will take you step by step through this program. If you have used other lr/ps programs this one will be no problem.

I have been using this software from many years. I usually wait several years to upgrade so there are more new features added. This 2019 level seems to have some nice new features and so far has been very stable. The only thing that made me knock a star off was the "auto creation" mode that seems to be turned on by default. The first time I came back into the software there were "collages" on the home page made of pictures that I had been editing previously. This makes me very concerned that Adobe is tracking what photos I am working with which is none of their business.

Photoshop elements 2019 has improved quite a lot over the years. The last one I have used is photoshop elements 10 so it's been awhile. Most everything seems easier to use and to locate. New features such as haze reduction as very useful. I purchased it mostly so I could use camera raw on two newer cameras and that has worked out well. I have just scratched the surface of the vidio editing program. The feature I most appreciate is the ability to capture a vidio frame and easily covert it to a jpeg still shot. This is especially useful in obtaining interesting action photos. These are two very easy to use programs.

I have used Adobe Photoshop & Premiere Element for many years and purchase the latest version every year. You can use the software in multiple modes. There is a beginners mode that is more template driven, where the expert mode is for users who are already familiar with the editing tools. Buying both pieces of software bundled is a great value, if you compare to purchasing them separately.

I was on the edge, as to whether I would purchase this photo software. I have used the version from 5 years ago and found the product learning curve very steep. At the awesome price of $99.99 I thought it was time to give it another try. I am happy I did. This version is really easy to pick up and learn. Many of the functions are intuitive. It does offer some more technical functions to for those with a little more experience with manipulating photos. Having the ability to modify still photos as well as video is awesome! Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.
