This air purifier is perfect for a large room or common space like a family room. The directions are not very clear but still simple to set up. After the first night, I noticed an immediate difference in air quality in the bedroom. The next morning no one had stuffy noses or puffy eyes and the air just felt nice and crisp. There is noticeably less pet odor in the air as well, which is fantastic for any pet owner. Time will tell if this purifier holds up, the button controls are strange but once you understand how to use it, it's okay. The filter has a 9-month life, varies on the air quality. The best part of the purifier is the auto-mode and scheduling mode. I have the purifier running all day but on an auto setting. Around 9 pm local time, I have a schedule set to night-mode so when I go to bed it is already in a quiet mode with no flashing lights. It's a nice feature that makes this purifier stand out over others.

Great Filter Frustrating App Sign In

Got this to use in a bedroom and decided to try aeris cleantec (Model AL-SB-00-000-US-EU-00-00) although I have another brand in another bedroom that I like. This seemed to have more features and an app to operate instead of just a one-touch button on top. Similar in size: 19 inches high by 11 inches diameter. Normal 3 prong plug on the 6 foot power cord instead of one of those giant cubes that fits upside down or sideways and blocks the other plug. Washable Sailor Blue fabric cover (also available in pink and nimbus cloud). 16.5 pounds feels much heavier than my other air purifier but could be the two piece filter or weighted base to prevent tipping. Maximum decibels 55dB but I barely notice it running in sleep mode. Filters are supposed to last about 9 months or until the sensor tells you to replace. Quick set up guide is just three drawings showing you how to flip on the side and plug in the power cord to the base then plug in to the outlet 1 meter from walls next to a potential leaking point (like a window). I only use at night when bedroom windows are closed since my windows are open for fresh air all day. Thicker setup guide is in English, Dutch and French but mainly drawings with brief one or two sentence explanations. Air Outlet on top has no explanation of what position you flip it into (open, closed, halfway, automatic). I put it tilted one quarter open so air blows away from bed toward wall. Explanation of curved line touch screen on top "Action Bar/Manual Control" with Sleep mode (dims lights and adjusts fan to whisper quiet), Power button to turn off and on manually, Smart Mode (selects the most appropriate fan speed automatically), a Display square of Filter status with various changes as it is used up that you can check Pre-filter with P and Main filter H on Action Bar, WiFi setup and a child lock for safety. WiFi setup requires the aeris application on your iPhone. The app was really frustrating to setup. It asks for your phone number to create your account but then fails and asks you to select a Country code (USA is 1 on the alphabetical list using the now available drop down arrow). Then create a Password. The usual "Read the terms" but nothing to check off. Repeated failure so tried to set up account on website. Did online chat and learned you can't set up your account on the website and Switzerland is CLOSED for the weekend! Later got a followup email confirming the phone number for contact. That was my last contact from aeris but maybe they noticed I was eventually able to create account? Tried randomly over the weekend and decided to try clicking next to the Terms guessing there might be some kind of confirmation checkbox too tiny to see. Eventually something worked and my account was created! Set up account and then tried to connect aeris to WiFi using push button on Action Bar and the app. Connected and was able to use the app after naming the device (?). App has Off and On button, Sleep and Smart Mode or manually adjust the fan speed. You can also see your account details in Settings, create a Program, view Analytics and see a Summary. I only use the Power on and off and change to Sleep Mode. No more problems until July 2 when aeris updated the app on my iPhone and it lost my sign in and device name and I had to do the clumsy log in, reconnect to my WiFi and add back my device (it picked the random name Ultraman). Really nice air filter with deluxe features with really clumsy app setup and useless website unless you want to buy something from aeris.

Thank you for the review. We are working to improve the mobile app. It’s important to know that you don’t need the app to use the air purifier, it is an air purifier first and foremost, the mobile app is an enhancement.

The Aeris aair lite air purifier is a well-made air purifier with a simple and clean design. There is a simple-to-use touch panel on the top of the unit with a large, easy-to-read, crisp LED display. The LED display will show the current air quality and fan speed. There are also dedicated buttons for automatic mode and night mode. There is an app that you can download and install to your phone. The app allows you to control the air purifier, monitor indoor and outdoor air quality, and set an operation schedule. The analytics and scheduling features in the app need a little work. I would like to set a schedule that automatically runs the air purifier in night mode from 10:00pm to 7:00am, but it gives me an error that the end time must be greater than the start time. I also did not see a way to put it back into automatic mode using the scheduling feature in the app. The trend lines in the analytics tab on the app need to be a different color (Indoor air quality trend line is a light aqua color that is hard to read) and the chart scale needs to automatically change based on the trend data (only the bottom 10% of the screen trend is used in my case because the indoor air quality is consistently good). We have the Aeris aair lite air purifier set up in my son’s 15’ x 15’ bedroom. The air purifier seems to work well and is responsive to changes in air quality. My son suffers from seasonal allergies and it seems to have helped in that regard. We keep it in automatic and it primarily runs on low speed and the sound is not noticeable. When operating at a higher speed, the sound is a little louder, but it is not drastically louder that is distracting or bothersome. From research on the product webpage, the filters typically last about 10 months on average and are fairly expensive at $99 per filter set which is about 20% higher than the cost of the replacement filter on my Dyson air purifier. In summary, the Aeris aair lite air purifier is a well-made unit with excellent performance that I would recommend. I am giving it four stars for the improvements that can be made to the companion app and the relatively high costs of the replacement filters.

Thank you for the review, we are constantly working to improve our mobile app. We do know that how we currently have the program scheduling is troublesome and not intuitive to the way many people set programs. We look at a day starting at 0:00 and ending at 23:59. So for the sleep program to work, you would actually have to create two programs. A sleep mode program in the morning starting at 0:00 to 7:00 and then another starting at 20:00 to 23:59. Looking at a day as a 24 hour block allows for much more specific program each day, but we’ve learned that may not be the best way to go. I also want to address your comment on the cost of our filters. The Dyson filters that retail for 20% of the cost of our filter (~$79) have a filter life of 6 months, our $99 filter last 10 months, on average. In your 15x15x8 bedroom, fan speed 3 will provide 4 air changes per hour and last 10 months. You stated that you run it on “Smart Mode” and it’s on a lower fan speed. Fan speed 2, the filter will last 16 months! That said, 4 months extra life is over 60% longer filter life than the Dyson at 6 months, so a 20% more expensive filter for over 60% longer filter life seems like a deal. Also, Dyson’s stated filter efficiency is 99.97% to 0.3 microns. Our filters are 99.95% to 0.1 microns (3x smaller), but at 0.3 microns we are over 99.997%. So for $20 more on a filter replacement, you get a longer filter life, much higher filter efficiency, and you are spending less money over time.

I used this to upgrade from a BLUE air purifier that was a little undersized for the space I was using it in. It cycles the air more efficiently and through a true HEPA filter which has further improved my allergies that are typically fairly bad especially at night time when laying down to go to sleep. This is more than double the BLUE it replaces in terms of cost but the additional filtering capabilities and features are nice. This has several modes a night mode for keeping as quiet as possible, auto mode, and you can manually set fan speed as well. You can also adjust from the app which is nice for when you are out of arms reach. Aesthetically pleasing design, I got the navy blue and it looks great. Looks more like some IKEA furniture more than it does a air filter. No complaints, would recommend to friends and family.

I will start by design this filter is medium in size with a blue fabric on the outside that supposedly kills bacteria. Overall it’s a minimalist look that fits in. Functionality- 5 speeds and a two filter system. Also has smart mode and programming that you can set up. For smart mode, the more particles in the air the higher the speed. We got this because we vape in our living room and you can literally see it work. There is an app for your phone to control the filter with many functions. On top there is a digital display that reads the particle amounts and also works via long touch etc. keep in mind you will need to replace both filters for ongoing maintenance. Overall the unit works but for the price of $500 I thought it would filter the air quietly, but it’s too loud. On speeds over 3 it takes over anything else like your tv volume. We might move to another area but we really wanted it for our living room. I would suggest you consider the noise level and where you will be placing this filter.

Thank you for the review. Yes, both filters need to be replaced, but they are sold as a set and are replaced at the same time, it was designed to make maintenance easy. On average use, they last about 10 months which is fairly long. With regards to your concerns about the unit being too loud, we’ve found that when compared to other units that move the same volume of air (176 CFM), we have a lower decibel level (55 dB). Units that are quieter, are typically not moving as much air, so running at a lower fan speed is a way to address that and then turning it up when you need it. Manufacturers give the Maximum size room “up to 350 ft2 with 4 air changes per hour”, but that requires running the unit on it’s highest fan speed to achieve that. If you run our unit on fan speed 3, you are getting 2.4 air changes per hour in that 350 ft2 room, which in most homes might be sufficient. Otherwise, we suggest moving up to a larger model that will move enough air and be quieter. Sound is also subjective to the individual, what might be loud to you may not be to others. The quality of the sound also makes a difference. A 40 dB buzzer is going to be more annoying than a 40 dB air purifier that is generating “white noise”.

We are sorry you are having issues with the mobile app. The air purifier does not require the mobile app to work, and hopefully people are buying an air purifier for how well it cleans the air and not purely for the mobile app. We are constantly working to improve and do listen to our users on how best to improve it. Feel free to contact us directly through our support team and we can help you with the program function. We do hope to have a updated mobile app in the very near future to provides a better user experience

I’ve had the chance to have a few air purifiers but this Switzerland made Aeris has impressed me the most. First off it is beautiful, but also heavy too. Being heavy isn’t an issue really as your not gonna move it around all the time and as far as changing the filter (every 9 months) it’s as simple as opening the top, and pinching a couple of tiny clips and it comes right out so VERY easy to replace yearly. Love the color and also amazing how quiet it is. Obviously if it is full force you hear it but to me it is quieter then other similar products I’ve owned. It’s simple to put together, take it out of the box and plug it in. Now something that might confuse you but is in the instruction manual that comes with it… on top the controls initially before you download the app it wasn’t illuminated so couldn’t see the WiFi display or lock etc etc… In order to illuminate it you press the middle of the semi circle (the one that goes from sleep to auto) for 5 seconds and it illuminates. Setting up WiFi is very simple as well. Took me less then two minutes from creating an account on the app to adding to my WiFi. The app… I love it. Has so much info, air quality inside the house as well as outside too. You don’t have to guess on the filter either one press in that semi circle or I’m sure the app also lets you know to change it. This beauty protects from so many impurities mold, pollen, etc etc. anyway really like it a lot and recommend it.

    The Swiss Do It Right

This air purifier is made in Switzerland and they do not disappoint. Don’t forget to remove tape that they have put in various places to be sure it is ready for set up in case you don’t notice them. If you don’t want to use the aeris app, just plug it in and check the manual on how to use the control panel. Very simple. I prefer the aeris app: It simplifies it more for me. Per quick start guide, first you need to download their app. The setup instructions were simple by following the app. The touch pad control panel on top of the purifier takes a bit of getting used to, when setting it up for the app. Just follow the instructions on the app and it will guide you through the setup process. Be sure to press down on the control panel for the correct amount of seconds. I must have counted to fast and had problems because of that. The air purifier has its own WiFi and you need to make sure your phone is connected to aeris WiFi before it will work with the app. I found that the app was much easier for me to use. The app definitely makes it much more efficient for me and tells me basically what it is doing inside your room, such as the pollutants you are getting rid of, as well as what is going on outside your home. It knows your location and lets you know what is going on outside your home. The sound of this air purifier on the highest fan setting is a bit loud, but I actually like it since I like a white noise in the background to help me sleep. The reason I know it works well is because, if someone smokes in the room with the setting on high it gets rid of the pollutants and it does a great job. You would hardly know anyone was smoking in the room. It covers about 300 square feet with 8 foot ceilings which will take care of a room approximately 15’ x 20’ (give or take) which is a good size living room or a 15’ x 20’ living room/dining room combo or a good size master bedroom. I find this purifier equal to the well known brands of air purifiers or better than some. I have a rather large house and have different brands in just about every room. This is definitely one of the best brands (if not the best) and I find the price for the quality acceptable. Even though the cost of the filter may seem a little high, I have paid a bit higher price for my high end air purifier, so it is comparable at their price point. I would recommend this air purifier because of all the extras that come with the purifier and all the different things that the app does for you to make your life a bit easier. It does not make it a guessing game once you have it all set up.

Once you see the box you have to wonder where the term "lite" came from. This is a beefy unit with nice heft. If this is lite, I'm sure I'd need a fork lift to move the regular, lol. I've used the Aeris Lite in a room upstairs where I've been cleaning out some old boxes and computer parts. Dust has been kicking up there so I placed the Aeris in the room. First thing that caught me off guard was the beige cord. The unit is a bright white with a blue prefilter. Yet they pair it with a old school computer case beige power cord. The could have chipped in for a white, or even black. The beige just ruins the beauty. I turned on the Aeris after a few tries - the touch screen is horrid. It misses far too many touches to be useful. Luckily they have an app you can install. Bad thing is they want your cell phone number to register the service. Giving my email address is too much already and having to give my phone number is just way too invasive. You decide if it's important enough for you to install the app. Without it, you'll struggle to use the touch interface. The fan is POWERFUL! Once you actually get to use the machine you see where it shines. If you go past 1 or auto you'll feel the blast, as well as hear the jet engine. The Aeris moves some serious air. I'd say it moves more than most whole room fans. Like I mentioned, the noise is the price you pay for the circulation. The quirk about the machine make me think twice about the value it provides. I don't want to dish out personal info to someone I don't know or care to give info to, especially for the price they already ask - they don't need to harvest my data. The touch interface is pretty shoddy and really needs some work to get the swipes and touches down. The only good thing is that when you have it set where you want you can just leave it be and do its work.

Thank you for the review, but we are a bit surprised. When you compare the dimension and weight (11.2” round x 18.5” tall) to other units on Best Buy, we are actually smaller and lighter than other units that don’t cover the same area. We pack a lot of power and efficiency into the aair Lite. Maybe the packaging is bigger, but since these ship all over the world, we want to ensure it arrives in proper working order. Is this a desktop air purifier, no it’s not. Is it a small room air purifier, yes it is. With every air purifier, the more air you move the higher the decibel level you will get. When you compare air flow, or CFM, to our competitors, you will find our decibel levels are lower. You also do not need to run the unit on its highest fan speed. You typically want to target the appropriate CFM to ensure enough air changes in a room to keep the air clean. The lower the fan speed, the longer the filter life as well. With regards to the cord, It’s actually off-white. We chose off-white because dirt tends to show quickly on a pure white cord, and off-white matches the Nimbus Cloud unit pretty closely. We are working on the app to improve the functionality, but unfortunately, almost any app that connects devices to the internet requires the user to create an account for security purposes. We use the phone number and email for validation purposes to ensure fraudulent accounts are not being created, you can review our privacy policy. You don’t need the mobile app to use our air purifiers. That said, we do listen to our customers and we are constantly trying to improve the app. We plan on releasing an update in the next few months that will address some of these issues.

First, I’d like to thank the customer service team for their amazing service. I had an issue with the first unit I received and it required replacement. Carol in customer service was incredible to work with and took immediate care of the issue and shipped a new replacement unit and provided a return shipping label so I could return the faulty unit. Once I received the new unit it was very easy to set up. The unit is relatively small at about 18” high and 11” wide and weighing just over 15 lbs. The unit was extremely well packaged and once out of the box the unit is completely assembled and does not require removal of any shrink wrap on the pre-installed filters. The unit comes with a pre-filter and a large HEPA filter as well as a very attractive anti-microbial sleeve that covers the entire outer surface of the unit. As soon as you plug in the unit it begins operating and lets you know the status of the air quality in your room. On the top front of the unit is a touch sensor that allows you to swipe to increase the fan speed. The unit is very quiet at the lower speeds and sound increases as you increase the fan speed. There is a flap in the HEPA filter that opens when the fan is running that exhausts the air that has been cleaned. If you hold down on the touch sensor it will give you options to check the 2 filters, set the unit for night mode operation, a child lock, auto mode operation, Wifi connection, and an off button. There is an app that you can connect to that provides information and functions that can be adjusted from your phone. I found in my application that I am just leaving it in auto mode and it automatically adjusts the fan speed based on the air quality in the room. The unit is recommended for rooms up to 350 sq. ft. I placed the unit in my master bedroom which is fairly large and when I plugged the unit in it registered air quality at 15 which isn’t bad but within the first hour it had dropped to 1. I left the doors shut in the room to see how much of a difference it made and it was significant. The air smelled and felt fresher. I have been running it in auto mode at night also and although you can hear it running it is very pleasant. I actually sleep better to the sound. You can set it for night mode in which case it is completely silent. I have a number of air purifiers in my house and this one does an outstanding job. Highly recommend this one if you are looking for a purifier for a larger area that is built extremely well and has great customer service.

    Silent Chic Air Purifier

I would like to start this review by saying that this air filter does not remove odor as per my reviews title. My house is humid, and I maintain it that way for a reason. HEPA filters tend to trap a humid type of smell almost comparable to the distinct smell of a hotel room. Humid conditions tend to increase this effect. This was not the case with this Air Purifier. We also have a cat and are allergic to its hair. We placed this air purifier in our room (cat loves our room, we love cat). We do not wake up sniffling and sneezing like we used to. Setup was easy, just follow the instructions on the app to set it up with wi-fi (you do have to make an account and that is always a negative in my opinion due to privacy reasons). The unit also features touch controls, but then again what does not. I felt as if the unit was not very intuitive from an inexperienced customer’s point of view but after owning one myself and having my job consist of testing an environments air quality with sensors that give out a ppm reading (parts per million) and using UV light to clean and sanitize commercial sized facilities, I can safely say that this is a must have if you care about the quality of air you breathe. The app tells the quality of air inside and out and that gives me some peace of mind. I was going to give this Air Purifier 4 stars due to having to put my information in to make an account but the app made up for it and it was somewhat irrelevant to the experience . Absolutely love it!

Thanks for the review! I'd like to share that the app is not necessary to use the air purifier, it's an added feature. We do listen to our users but based on how the app can operate the air purifier from anywhere in the world, it requires an account to attach you to the device. We do have our privacy policy on our website for anyone to review. We just don't know anyway around setting up an account, but we if we can figure out a way to do it, we may change.

I'm sensitive to the smell of the coating on the HEPA filter, so that's a big negative for me. The App was also a non-starter. I don't give access to my wifi, email, and phone lightly, certainly not for an air filter. The cost of filter replacement is also a negative. However, I do like the ease of setup, the overall look of the unit, the features and the amount of air it moves. It is very quiet on the sleep setting. If only it didn't make everything smell like the HEPA filter coating, I'd have rated it much higher.

We appreciate your feedback, but 2 stars may be a little harsh. The important aspects of the air purifier which you say you like (ease of setup, overall look of the unit, the features and the amount of air it moves, and it is very quiet on the sleep setting) are the important aspects of an air purifier. I checked and we made a change in the adhesive used to seal the filters and we found the new adhesive had an odor that went away after a day. We immediately switched back to our adhesive that we did not have any issue with odor. That is what you are probably smelling and should go away. The EPA and the CDC both agree that HEPA filtration is still the best means to clean the air. With regards to filter replacement cost of the filters, the amount of media we use allows our filters to have a long life. Many of our competitors have cheaper filters, but you replace them much more frequently, plus they are not 99.95% efficient at 0.1 microns and actually more efficient for larger and smaller particles! You do get what you pay for.

Regarding our mobile app, you absolutely do not need the mobile app to use the air purifier as an air purifier, all our air purifiers work by themselves and do not require the app at all. That said, ANY mobile app that connects to specific devices you own and allows you remote access will require you to create an account with either your phone number or your email address. For the mobile app to communicate with connected devices, it will need access to the internet through a Wi-Fi network. You must have the same issues with just about every mobile app for these same reasons, but again, you are not required to use our mobile app. It's a feature that you may choose to use. We are constantly working on the app to improve functionality and we will pass on your concerns to our development team.

We apologize for the lack of replacement filter availability. The outbreak of COVID in Asia shut down many of the ports and we have not been able to get shipments to the United States. We expect to have them here and available in Mid-September baring any other delays. We designed our air purifiers to be as effective from day one to beyond the filter life. You will not experience any reduction in filtration efficiency, but there may be a slight drop in air flow. Again, we apologize for the delays, we are doing everything we can to expedite the replacement filters.
