I do a lot of cooking and purchased this to have fresh herbs for my receipes. It is a nice little unit and is easy to mantain. I have only had this about a month but, as promised by the manufacturer, all the herbs have germinated. The basil is really growing, probably over six inches tall, and I have used some in my receipes already. The parsley is growing well and I will use some soon. The dill took the longest and still has quite a ways to go yet. The only improvement I would suggest is that it be just a bit deeper so that the plants are spaced apart more. The larger basil tends to shadow the smaller dill and parsley but not to the point that they don't get any light. Other than that it is a great item and I highly recommend it.

Nice starter kit to get an introduction into hydroponics. Read and follow directions and you're good to go. Seeds take a while to germinate but is stated on the seed pods!

Love it every grows fast , currently growing strawberries & cherry tomatoes. Basil grew pretty fast as well , Make sure you use distilled water instead of faucet water .

As with the lettuce the tomatoes are noticeably growing. It’s only been growing for 5 days now but the below photos will show you how the plants are coming along.

This has been a great product for me and my daughter to have. We actually bought 2 of them we enjoyed it so much.

I am an employee of Best Buy and have been able to use the Sprout model in the AeroGarden line. I have owned or tried several models including the 6 pod version as well as the larger more tech. based Farm XL models (12 and 24 pods). What is awesome - Setup could not be easier – as you can see in my pictures, it amazes me how easy and simple setup is but at the same time, it’s still a very technical device - It comes with three pods (one basil, one x, and one y), I ended up purchasing all basil to feed my pesto and pizza habits - I think this is a great option for a smaller space and to complement other AeroGarden models – for example I have a 6 pod model in one spot in my house and the Sprout in my home office - I really like the design; my 10 year old said it best – when he saw it he said, “wow – that’s so modern looking – I like it better than all the other ones you have.” - It has a really small footprint, you can see it next to my laptop for a sense of scale - There are so many cool pod options; they even offer pods that they call “grow anything” and you can use your own seeds; when I get my fill of basil, I look forward to trying some unique seeds Considerations - As in all AeroGardens, the light stays on for a decent amount of time (see picture I included) so you have be conscious where you place it because of the light - Almost all of the pods I have ever used germinate quickly – Once I had a pod that didn’t and AeroGarden holds true to their commitment and sent me a replacement for free

No sign of life from poor Basil on the left, but the other 2 (Parsley & Dill) appear to be thriving!

The product is defective and lacks water flow.not good

I have been using my Sprout for almost a year now and decided to purchase a second Spout to expand my herb garden. I also own a Harvest Elite Slim system. I am a big fan of Aerogarden products now. My herbs in my first kit flourished and it was fantastic to have fresh dill for salads and fresh basil for cooking. The Sprout worked great for all my herbs. I should note that the light system doesn’t raise as high as my Slim, which I use for tomatoes and lettuce. The Sprout is a great starter system, especially when half off as a deal of the day. It is helpful to check out you tube for specific tips to what you choose to grow, and most anything can thrive in the Sprout when pruned properly. The system is very easy to use but doesn’t have any advanced features like my Slim. If you travel more than a few days at time, you may want to upgrade to a larger system than the Sprout so you don’t run your system out of water. The size of the Sprout is small but mighty with a contemporary design. Great for small spaces or even a dorm room. I wouldn’t hesitate to give an Aerogarden product a gift or purchase again.

Been looking for a compact aero garden. I saw this new model at Best Buy and I just had to have it I have limited kitchen space. Super easy to start up I set to grow light to Start at 5:00 am and turn off at 8:00 pm. Herbs grew in the first week. Love it!!!

My ex seemed to enjoy it, grew pretty big and so far so good.

It works, but...the light is extremely bright. It needs to be on 15 hours per day and will even be noticed in broad daylight. The herbs grow fast and well with no issues. Make sure you have thought out where you will put this before you buy. Otherwise, it is great!

Bought this as a gift for my niece who eats healthy. She loves it! I think I need to buy one for myself. :D

In a months time I have 3 full grown lettuce plants. They taste good and look just as great. All I did was pop in the pods and pour some water and plant food and the machine did the rest! This works fantastic I would recommend it for even the most novice growers (like me).

My daughter gave this to me for Mother’s Day! I am so happy to have fresh herbs in my kitchen as I love to cook and enjoy all types of fresh herbs! The size is perfect, nice and compact and fits perfectly in my kitchen window. Love this!

The AeroGarden is super easy and fun to use! The plants sprouted quickly and are healthy. The light is pretty bright on the counter but I love the reminder feature to feed the plants. Very convenient.
