This product is great for cable TV cutters. With just a decent internet connection you can stream Sling TV (cable channels) Netflix, and Google products in one device. The package comes with an HDMI cable, but if hard wiring to the internet, you'll have to provide your own ethernet cable. Setup is pretty simple, you don’t have to connect with your google account if you don’t want too. The walk through is good and gets you going quickly. The remote has a nice feature, if you lose/misplace it, a button on the main device will cause it to beep so you can find it. One nice option is the device can find channels by OTA or through the cable line if your cable provider pumps unencrypted local channels through. My OTA antenna is a medium sized outdoor model. The device found all the local channels without a problem, I did two scans to make sure. When finding channels though the cable line, it automaticity ignored the weak channels unlike my built in TV tuners, so I didn’t have to remove 50 channels to only see the ones I want. Once found, you can continue to Sling TV, or scan again if needed. Whether OTA or through the cable line, the picture was nice and clear. The integration with Sling TV is seamless. The local channels are just added to the TV grid as all the other channels. You can just scroll through and they show up. By providing your zip code during setup, you can also get some more information added to the grid. Through Sling TV, you can select all channels or just local ones. The remote has buttons specifically for Sling TV, Netflix, and Google. All the other buttons are normal control buttons. It feels good in the hand. This device is for one TV and operates as a stand alone all in one OTA/streaming box. You get Sling TV, Netflix, and Google store apps. I had no problems streaming by ethernet, picture was always good, no delays or stuttering. If you want to stream to multiple devices see the other AirTV product. If you don’t already have a Chromestick, Roku, or Amazon Fire TV, this device should be great for you. The one interface makes it easier to navigate. Or, with one TV and you don’t want to switch sources to watch local vs streamed content. If you don’t have a streaming device already this device combines popular streaming services and OTA for a seamless experience. Just make sure it fits your needs.

I’m giving this 4 stars because the user interface isn’t so friendly, at startup it takes you directly into sling tv. I had Roku tv before and I can say it was much easier working around in roku than Air tv. Also, the remote is cartoonish but I can live with that.

Good Product in best price, bought this in rollback for $80, and it works very fast , it is better than all other fancy models which are available on Amazon, as tried all of other models in this price range but this one is best .

Its a decent android tv device. I'd put it in between the discontinued Nexus Player and the current Shield TV. Is a must if you have sling tv and want access to your free over the air channels. Even though the OTA adapter is a re branded hauppauge 955q and has some sort of added verification process for use only with AirTV boxes and will not be recognized on other android tv devices but works fine on any pc after downloading the corresponding drivers for the 955q. Android does not support ntsc or qam signals so no using it to DVR unencrypted cable channels however.

I've been a Directv customer for many, many years but their prices keep going up. I purchased this a while ago to try out and I finally canceled Directv last month. I have not missed it at all. It takes a little practice to use it, but both my wife and I are enjoying the ability to record over the air TV and also using Sling, I just added a Western Digital passport and it's been running great. Also gets Netflx, and others. Doesn't seem to get Prime. Save us about $100/mo over Directv.

It’s really nice to be able to combine streaming and antenna in a single device.

I purchased this product to try it with SlingTV, to cancel my VerizonFios TV service and I'm amazingly pleased. Be aware that for OTA you can connect an antenna, but you will be limited to one TV. This box is really easy to use and a must have for cord cutters.

A very good android Box to use simple to navigate and fast without lag

I bought this along with an antenna thinking I may pick up my locals and didn’t work. I couldn’t pick up anything. Very disappointed with this product.

Instructions on the TV screen are easy to follow and complete. The complete Google Play Store is not accessible. You can only install apps that AirTV allows. The only live TV app that I could install from Google Play was Pluto TV. The AirTV - 8 GB 4K Streaming Media Player with Adapter - White/blue has the basic TV apps such as Hulu, Netflix, and some main cable TV apps, but not enough to fully cut the cord. The added benefits of the AirTV - 8 GB 4K Streaming Media Player with Adapter - White/blue is that it can install over the air (OTA) local digital channels in a clear sharp picture. The best detail about the AirTV - 8 GB 4K Streaming Media Player with Adapter - White/blue is that I can go into the security settings and allow installation from third party sources. By allowing third party installations, I can use Kodi, SPMC Media Center, ES File Explorer, and Downloader to add apps not listed inside the Google Play Store. After The AirTV - 8 GB 4K Streaming Media Player with Adapter - White/blue is jail broken, it then becomes the best media player on the market.

Able to get so many channels for such a low monthly fee!!

My mom had already kindle fire. Unfortunately, kindle fire is not made for the senior population, Very small control and sexy interface that is very difficult to explain to people above 80. This product was much better for this purpose but the resolution of the streaming was worse than kindle fire and resolution was important to mom, had to return it. So, I would recommend this product but not if you already have kindle fire which is much cheaper.

Works well. The only issue I have is that you have to subscribe to Sling to use it. It's not marked very well on the box.

You really can't go wrong with buying this if your already have a subscription with slingtv. Makes everything much easier to navigated. Loved this purchase!

I wanted to try this device before making a commitment to Sling TV. To my surprise, it delivers as promised. It is the closest you can get to the touch and feel of cable/fios television box and remote, without the big monthly bills. Sling TV has excellent options of channels and when you connect an over-the-air antenna, the channels are directly available in one screen. Excellent TV guide and shows can be recorded either via Sling TV cloud or hard drive for over-the-air channels.

Works great for sling TV, Hulu, Netflix and local channels with a good antenna but not for Directv now. It runs Android TV OS and is very limited on apps that are avaliable from the app store.

Bought this thing, followed instructions and would not work. Called help line, which he was professional, went through steps with them for 2 hrs. We connect to internet but every time we try to connect to sling it said no internet connection. I have great internet can run 3 ps4's a gaming computer and 2 sling at 1 time with no lag. Have 200$ modem and 350$ router NVR any issues. Don't have cable all we do is stream. My kids have mibox's and they may be cheaper but they are light years ahead of this thing. I give this thing 1 star and that's only for how easy it was to purchase at best buy, which everyone know's best buy is amazing. If your thinking of buying this put some more money with and get nividia shield, you will not be disappointed.

I love this Air TV. You attach your tv antenna and it pics up all the local stations near you. You get a guide to upcoming local programming. You can also record one show at a time with the purchase of a flash drive. Now I can record my favorite shows on antenna. I had to call customer service a couple times and a real person answered and help me with set up. I didn't have to go through the old maze, I went straight to a real person. This is an awesome new product I high recommend to all you cord cutters

The best feature this has is the ability to integrate local channels received through an antenna with the Sling channels. There is also a DVR feature for over the air channels. Unfortunately I could not use the $50 credit with Sling as they said I could only use one promo, so minus one star.
