Did not watch this in theatres , did not think Will smith would work as the genie di not think the animated musical could be redone properly. Was wrong completely This movie is a definite buy for the family some things were changed but only made it better. Got to give Will Smith credit. Following Robin Williams portrayal had to be a hard decision on his part but he did really well.

My family has been greatly enjoying the live-action remakes of our favorite Disney movies and another hit for Disney. The movie is a little different than the cartoon of the animation and there's a song That's new along with changes to the old songs but that shakes it up and makes it a little newer so you're not watching the same movie. Excellent quality shipping fast must buy

Really enjoyed it hoping sequel comes sooner rather than later. Loved the update on songs thought cast did a great job. I was one of the people that liked the way genie looked still not sure why people freaked out will does his thing his songs rivaled the late great Robin very impressed with the movie still my favorite Disney movie. Buy this one on 4k i should have!!!

I loved the Disney animated version of Aladdin, but this live-action version is even better. Will Smith is a great Genie and the young actors who play Aladdin and Jasmine, Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott, are perfect in their roles. The movie is fun for the whole family. One of the new songs is especially powerful and changes the dynamic of the story in a significant way.

I dont think anyone buys DVD/Blu-ray anymore. I could be wrong but I'm still a strong believer in physical copies. That being said, these steelbooks are awesome, sturdy, and well designed. Plus, this movie was THEE best live action Disney movie. I was genially surprised. I wasn't a fan of the original animated film, but this one was great. I could put this one on repeat.

The steel book is beautiful. A lot of vibrant color. The movie was wonderful just like the animated one. It’s basically 98%from the animated film. So if you loved this original; you will like this. Just didn’t know why Disney paid Will Smith the money for his role. I mean seriously with technology and all the voice over recording...should of kept the genie animated.

First of all I thought I was gonna hate this movie but I was surprised how good will smith was as the genie the cast was really good except jafar was not menacing enough for me and jago didn't have any dialogue well some words but that's it ohhh and jasmine she was so hot I'm sorry she was Aladdin was really well cast too overall was a really good live action

Great for children and adults alike. Special effects are awesome in this live character remake of the Walt Disney animated classic. Be prepared to laugh at some monkey antics if you're old enough to recall ever seeing a wind-up toy monkey clanging cymbals. Music and songs will be something children will long remember. Wholesome fun for the whole family.

The live action Aladdin movie isn't looking to shake things up. The story that you get follows the animated version for the majority of the main story beats. There are changes to be sure but ultimately you get the same story. Some of the characters have been fleshed out a little more and there are some good additions to the various backstories. Will Smith does a good job as the genie. He doesn't try to copy Robin Williams and instead put his own spin on the character. If you enjoy the original Disney Aladdin movie then I recommend checking this out.

Will Smith does a fantastic job as the Genie in this live-action remake of the Disney animated classic, as do the rest of the cast. Every song from the original is faithfully performed by the cast, along with two brand new ones. The only thing I didn't like about the movie was the downplay of Iago's character as opposed to the one from the animated version.

Disney is churning out redone classics. This one is a well done version, however does not add much to the original that we loved. I am in favor of any film that nurtures the musical genre, whether animated or live action. This is a good movie that I would have considered magical if I had not seen the original. Menken's music holds up as usual. The actors fill in the parts of the animated characters well and the special effects are excellent. I wish they would add anything new to these franchises to up the anti when I get to the theater.

So I’ll admit I was skeptical of Will smith as the genie at first, as he had big shoes to fill, with the loss of beloved Robin Williams. But after watching this, he brought a unique touch to the character. Beyond that, the movie was quite enjoyable with beautiful scenery and stunning effects. Definitely has lots of replay value if you have children.

I get all my movies on blu ray except movies that I really truly like. After seeing this movies in the theater I decided to buy it in 4k. The picture was spectacular and the special effects scenes really stood out. This was a great idea to make this movie in live action. You can see every detail of the characters. Awesome movie especially in UHD.

Totally loved this real actors musical with same music as cartoon! My daughter sang it to her 18 month old baby!! --who proceeded to dance. Brought back sweet memories. Will Smith plays his best as The Genie!! The villain is bad, bad, bad!! And ends on a happy note. Worth it to keep treasured in your library!! The 4K is awesome!!

Didn’t see the movie on the theatres, but read mixed reviews. The movie is great & the producers went thru great lengths in order the pay homage to the original animation. As far as the housing is concerned, the artwork on the steelbook, depicts a still lamp which naturally evokes mystery & makes you wonder. I give it a heartily thumps up.

I heard people talking about this film before watching stating that Will Smith is no comparison to Robin Williams. After watching the film, I think that that Will Smith did a fantastic job! Live action is so cool with the special effects that gave this film so much more then the cartoon version. I highly recommend this movie!

Will Smith has created his own "fresh" interpretation of the Genii which I think works perfectly for this film adaptation without detracting or competing with the genius of Robin Williams original version. The entire film works beautifully and I could watch this version and the original over and over again with absolute delight.

they did a great job of following the cartoon. They added a few things in that are different and a new song but I thought it was still good. I liked Will Smith as the Genie. I know a lot of people didn't, but you can't make a cartoon blue floating genie in real life so I thought they did a good job making him more human.

It has been a long time since I have enjoyed a movie as much as I did this one. Incredibly entertaining, at first I was somewhat disappointed because it strayed with some variances from the cartoon but it actually was pleasurable change. I cannot say that for most of the Disney readaptations but this one was well-received.

This reboot was excellent. I saw the original in the theatre and it has always been one of my favorite movies. I was super skeptical about the reboot, but I’m so glad that I gave it a chance. We took our family to see it, ranging in ages 4-72. EVERYONE loved it! And this Steelbook is a beautiful addition to my SB collection!!
