Got this movie only because my girlfriend said it was funny family movie, we watched it together for first time and thought it was a great movie, with comedy and cool storyline for everyone to enjoy!

Too often movies end up not being as good as the previews. This movie is a great exception! The general theme and acting are terrific. From the very first scene through the last scene we could not stop laughing. My wife and I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who needs a good laugh and a movie with an uplifting family theme. There are one or two spots they could have changed that would make it better for families with young children. Parents should watch it first and then decide if it is right for their entire family.

A 3.5 star family comedy. Alexander has his horrible terrible days and thinks no one understands. When he makes a birthday wish for everyone to understand, each member of his family goes through an even worst horrible terrible bad day. Now that he knows they understand, the family grows closer. Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is one of those films you can feel safe showing the whole family. Plus, it's actually funny and sweet. I saw it twice in the theater and bought it on dvd the day it came out. I take care of an 85 year old mother with dementia and it's hard to find films that will keep her interest. She was glued to this movie and laughed throughout. I have a feeling we'll be watching it a lot.

The last time my entire family sat and watched a movie together with all our children along with our father was in 2005 before my mother passed away. We all sat and watched Alexander on Palm Sunday and it was the perfect movie. It was hysterical! There was something that made everyone of every age laugh. To see my father laugh throughout a movie is something I have not seen in over 10 years. GREAT MOVIE!

I grew up reading "Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day." I guess I was a bit of a melancholy kid, but it was always one of my favorites. This movie was a fun take on the original story, and we enjoyed it with our 3 kiddos. The little nods to Australia were a nice touch, and Steve Carell makes any movie funny.

This movie was actually a lot better than I expected it to be. I honestly didn't have high hopes for it. I was very entertained, and it's a pretty clean movie. I read the book as a little kid, but it really wasn't based on that. It was based more on the idea of the book. I definitely enjoyed the movie a lot!

My husband and I watched this video last night. It was really fun and made for a great viewing experience. It's great to see positive family values for a change. I really loved the father's attitude--refreshing and entertaining experience.

I love this movie! My sister and I took my daughters (age 4 & 7) to see this at the movies and we all loved it! It has good family humor. I knew once I saw the movie that I would want to make this part of my Disney Movie collection. We've watched it so many times since we bought it!

the movie is so funny everything that could happen in one bad day happens here. i like how the movie not just shows the bad funny horrible day but that the family still stays together through it and has a great day instead of the bad one

We watched Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, Not Good, Very Bad Day at the movie theatre when it came out and loved it so much we had to get a DVD as well. It's funny, charming and fast. And we will most likely watch it several times.

Well, my kids talked me into buying this movie. I was like you want me to buy you a video to learn bad behavior, but in in turned was good to show them examples of what bad behavior looks like. Overall good movie, not great but good

The movie was a good PG rated movie. Lots of sight gags and some jokes had kid value and adult value. The action is pretty much nonstop and there are no points in the story that drag. Good lesson at the end.

I had the great pleasure to watch this blueray with my mom , and we laughed the entire time! And the bonus items are fantastic. The navigation map is hard to use though. But this is a FANTASTIC family movie! A+

Purchased this for my grandchildren, an 8 year old and sibling twins who are 5 years old. They loved the movie and thought it was so funny! I recommend it! Great entertainment for everyone in your family.

This film is seriously laugh out loud comedy. Just when you thought it couldn't be worse, it is. Just when you thought you were having a bad day, it turns out someone else has it even worse.

My son is nine years old and he loves to watch this movie. My nephew is ten years old and they watch it together when they have sleepovers. I've watched it and thought it was pretty funny.

My entire family love this movie. It is a short movie but it is very funny throughout the movie. We have watched it over and over. I definitely recommend, especially if you have a family.

I have to admit that this was one of the better family films I've seen recently. It feels very much like a film from the 90's. It lacks the crude and lowbrow humor found in so many films lately.

Even when the world and the sky fall apart around you family is still there for you. Lots of laughs a few sad moments, but all in all a really good movie for family night or that rainy day.
