A four-movie set for the usual cost of one? Sign me up! This bargain blu ray set is worth the price just for 'Alien' and 'Aliens', but you also get 'Alien 3' and 'Resurrection'. Granted, the last 2 aren't quite up to par with the first two films, but if you're a fan of the 'Alien' franchise, this set can't be beat.

This series is one of my all time favorites. Having the opportunity to see it in HD blu ray was almost like seeing it for the first time. Awesome!!

A must have for those of a certain age anxious to preserve their cinematic cultural heritage - before films simply became blowing up/ crashing / destroying everything in sight without the benefit of a credible story line. The set allows you to monitor the slow decay of the movie industry towards this modern sad state by allowing you to compare the elegance and simplicity of Ridley Scott's 'Alien' with his depiction of ordinary folk finding themselves very out of their depth in extraordinary circumstances; with the wisecracking, swaggering shoot 'em up, two dimensional expendable anti-heroes of the later films. The only constant was the elegance of Sigourney Weaver, who really stands out as an actress rather than a stereotype. Worth the money.

So this is the blu ray re-release of the 2003 9 disc DVD set and it does not disappoint. Everything that was in the original release is there including multiple versions of the films and lots of extras. The films are in pristine 1080P HD and Dolby True HD audio. All this content has now been reduced to 4 discs and it's worth every penny. I highly recommend this to any fan of the franchise.

Movies like Alien really need no introduction - if you're reading this review and you haven't seen it yet, I don't know what to tell you - go check out the first movie, it's a Sci Fi horror classic! As for everybody else, this is what you get - the first 4 Alien movies, and two versions of them - The Directors Cut of Alien and the Special Edition of Aliens, Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection are included with the Theatrical Release versions, making this the definitive Alien Quadrilogy - all the other goodies like commentaries and bonus footage are in there. I had to give this one 4 stars only because I'm not the biggest fan of the 3rd and 4th movies, but in terms of price and presentation I would give it a 5/5.

I am and always will be an Aliens fan. The only alien movie I’m not crazy about is Alien 3. Alien Resurrection has some questionable writing, but not horrible. Alien and Aliens will always be my top movies; Aliens being number one. The physical case the movies come in are nice, and keep the blu-day discs nicely separated. If you are an Aliens fan, I highly recommend buying this; well worth the price.

Awesome movie for those into sci fi and like to have a movie library.

I was always entertained with this series Aliens was my favorite as a teen growing up and to see the squeals and to play the videos games as well was lots of fun. so happy that I found them on bluray , I had all the dvds and the games. one of my favorites of all time

I'm enjoying rewatching these very much. Classic movies, and some (Alien3) which I forgot about. A great collection for fans of the Alien series. I also like that you can enter the digital code and make them available to stream on services such as Amazon , Google , and Apple TV.

Getting these four movies in one is unbeatable. I got it for fifty percent off and it added so much value. This isn't a steelbook, which I prefer, but it is still a good-looking case. The sound and video quality in the bluray is incredible.

I had only seen the first film, so I waited til this collection was low in price, and my patience paid off! This is such a good deal, especially for under 10 bucks. The picture quality is good, can't wait to check them all out

Can't seem to get pass the monster just popping out??? Well you haven't seen anything until you have watched all four of these movies. They were scary the first time through when originally released, they still pack a punch.

Aliens is one of the best science fiction movies of 1986. This film was ahead of its time for special effects. The casting was excellent. This film definitely go down in my book as one of the Greatest.

I seen the first movie when i as young on vhs. I was just wondering thru best buy killing time because why shop with three women with my credit card being use as a human bag holder. Seem like a good deal for my collection. Wasn't disappointed with the better rendition of the old film remastered for my tv. Not great on the 4k but decent. Would recommend.

Nice little pack of Aiens 1-4 on separate Blu Ray discs with two versions of each movie plus few extras. First two movies/discs are in THX and last two are dts. Overall ok movie and ok film to disc transfer. Soundtrack kind of lower quality for the thx verisons and ok for last two. Nothing mind blowing really. But still cool to add to any movie library.

The Alien Quadrilogy will keep you entertained since the story moves very well through out the movies keeping your interest. The second movies Aliens is of course the best which won many awards.

What can I say. Alien and Aliens are two of the greatest 80s action horror flicks. Picture is fantastic and sound done extremely well. Shame they force you to buy the unwatchable movies too.

Always wanted (at least the first two) on DVD, now have them all on Blu-ray! Just finished watching the first one, and it looks great on Blu-ray! Looking forward to the rest. All four movies for $15.

If you are a fan of the Alien quadrilogy, and I mean a HUGE fan, then you probably already purchased this. If it’s not a genre that interests you...then you’d be better to rent and watch one.

Eight words changed the way we look at science fiction and horror in 1979. "In space no one can hear you scream". "Alien" follows seven people on their way to Earth on board a space freighter named "Nostromo". While in cryosleep, the on board computer interrupts the journey when a radio signal is picked up. It is originating from an uninhabited planet. The crew decide to land and investigate; making contact with an alien life-form. What makes "Alien" such a great movie is the constant uneasiness you feel. You know from the onset something is not right. Ridley Scott directs the film with a certain flair that blends both science fiction and horror to an "edge of your seat" experience. The actors also do a wonderful job of portraying their characters; believable to the point where you start to think of them as friends of yours. These aren't your typical Hollywood heroes; just the opposite. Their everyday people with everyday problems like you and me; everyday foibles that expose their weaknesses as well as their strengths. You notice it most when they come up against the alien. The music, the lighting, the acting, the directing...All combine to give you a great science fiction movie and a great horror film in one. "Alien" spawned three sequels ("Aliens", "Aliens3", and "Alien: Resurrection") which can be found in this quadrilogy. There is talk of rebooting this classic film; something I hope never happens. But, if it does, I suggest you watch the original film that started a revolution in the sci-fi horror genre. It would be well worth your time; and I don't think you will be disappointed.
