I bought the computer on Black Friday 2022 for my son and it was never useful for gaming, because every time he would play a game it would reboot, and this could happen at any time with any game, even when he would get in a call with friends it would crash and reboot, which is a shame that I use it after 3 months of buying it and the warranty expired. This was like throwing my money away, he doesn't even use it anymore!!

Was going to give it a 3 but changed it to a 4 after some upgrades. Replaced the single channel 3466mhz CL22 16gb RAM with dual channel 3200mhz CL16 32gb RAM (wanted the 3466 but couldn't find any and didn't want to waste time getting 3600 if it failed). Also added 500GB SSD for gaming storage. System is running faster and surprisingly does not run as hot as I thought with just two fans. Ran all Windows and Alienware updates including current BIOS. Replaced Dell AMD drivers with current AMD driver. Changed settings for the fans so it won't run as loud. Might replace 1TB HD with a 1TB SSD and put another fan in its place for added cool air intake but not right now. I picked the 6800XT since specs are just slightly below the RTX3080 and the R10 was too good in sales price to pass up after looking it up in Alienware's website to see their cost for this. PROS: Running Wifi 6 and Gig speed for dual network Fast machine without overclocking AMD 6800XT GPU Sales price CONS: It is very cramped inside this case Still runs hot Fans are loud when lowering the heat Single channel 3466mhz CL22 RAM

My Alienware Aurora R7 desktop 1080 GPU was found defective and covered by Best Buy's GSP, hence, I purchased the Aurora R10 as a replacement. Below are the pro(s) and con(s) of the Aurora R10, Pro(s) * I/O ports (i.e. USB heaven) * 6800XT * Ryzen 7 Con(s) * Design (it's so cramped inside the R10 that even with liquid cooling, the system still gets hot). I don't know what Dell's engineers thinking designing the PSU the way they did. I would not recommend this!

      Hi ForeverMeek2012,

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are glad you like some of the features of your Alienware Aurora R10 gaming desktop, but we are sorry to hear you are not too impressed with how it is designed, because it is still overheating.

To help with this issue, we would recommend making sure the BIOS is up to date on your PC. I have provided a link to the Drivers and Downloads page so you can check for and do any applicable updates. Dell has also released an Intel Power Management Utility to help with the overheating that you may be experiencing on your computer. For this package to take effect, the system power plan must be set to Balanced under the Additional Power Settings. Also, the Power Mode option that is displayed when you click the battery icon, should be set to Better Performance. This package only takes effect on AC power and not on battery power. The Intel Power Management Utility can be found here - http://dell.to/3tStRgX.

      Drivers and Downloads page: https://dell.to/3JF6Ky3

If the issue with your gaming laptop is still not resolved after utilizing the troubleshooting options above, please contact the Dell Support Team at 1-800-624-9896 for further guidance.

I got this for $1250 for BF. I made some changes and hopefully this will help others. 1) Update all the drivers and Alienware SW. What is installed is dated and maybe contributing to the crashes. 2) Get an 16GB DIMM to use dual channel. I ended up with a Kingston Fury 16GB 3600MHz DIMM to pair with the installed one. Use the second XMP profile to run at 3200MHz. That's what Dell support and it is stable. I tried another pair of 3200MHz DIMMs and system was frozen from time to time. So it is better to get one with higher spec. 3) Remove the 1TB HD. It is blocking airflow. I installed SSD at the bottom of the case using the extra power cables and additional SATA ports. 4) I mount an Noctua NF-A9 92mm fan inside the HD cage. There are mount points built into the cage. Some people from Youtube suggest mounting a 120mm fan using double side tape w/o the cage. I experimented and found that the 92mm is adequate. It is about 20% less air flow compare 120mm at same noise level. 5) Replace the case fan with a Noctua NF-F12 120mm and use the y cable to connect the 92mm fan to the same fan header. 6) Replace the water cooler fan with the Noctua NF-A12 (better air flow). You have to remove the CPU heat and the voltage regulator heatsinks to get to the fan. You will also need a small Philips screwdriver to remove the screws. Without that you have to remove the whole water cooler to replace the fan. 7) Set the thermal profile to "Performance" in Alienware command center. The original fans are too loud to use this profile. It sounds like a jet engine next to you. But with the Noctua fans it is very acceptable with my system under my desk. I ran 3DMark stress tests and CPU temp is never above 70C and GPU is ~80C with >93% load. My cost for the fans and DIMM is about $150. (I have the SSDs). For $1400 it is a pretty good price performance system. With the 1KW power supply maybe I will upgrade the GPU to AMD 7900 at some point. BTW the CPU is Ryzen 5800 so there is no overclocking support in Alienware command center

This is exactly what I was looking for. Got this PC during one of Best Buy's xmas deals as a B-Day present for myself (upgraded from a R7 1070) and it was discounted to 1,249.99. With trade in and best buy credit I got from buying a phone that brought the price down to around 650 bucks. This thing has pwned every game I have thrown at it. With 1440p resolution all the new games are running at over 100 fps. That included God of War, Gotham Nights and Spiderman Remastered. The money saved went into upgrading the pc to a 5800x which was about 250 and 64gb of ram. I choose this machine mainly because of the 6800xt and the rave reviews for the card and it hasn't disappointed yet. If it comes to a deal on a PC i say I found a great one.

Just an amazing gaming PC that was well worth the time. It feels heavier than it looks. I did have to YouTube how to open the case, but it wasn't terribly difficult. Fortnite runs like butter. Steam functions great. Graphics are stunning, especially with HDMI 2.1 and the 3 display ports. Very "plug and play" minded. I highly recommend this PC as a gaming computer to last for a good 5+ years.

I wanted to be able to give this a good shot before writing the review. The GPU and CPU are fantastic. The build quality is pretty decent. Its a plastic case that feels flimsy at times. The interior is very limited on space. With all this, it only came with one stick of RAM. This made it so that it would only run in single channel mode and give me half the speed it advertised. This is where things got hairy. This pc is not easily upgraded. I purchased aftermarket RAM that should have worked. However, Dell has built thier systems sjch as that obly one or two select RAM types willnwork with thier systems. I have tried everything under the sun and XMP just wont work with any other RAM type.... this is cause for frustration and had i known this I would not have bought. But alas, I am now stuck with a PC that is only running half the speed it should and no way to upgrade unless i buy dorectly from Dell which has ungodly prices..... Very disappointed.

Works amazing in all games at 1440p and great at 4k, but it can bottleneck a bit. The 16Gb of Ram isn’t bad but when you have such a higher end GPU should consider upgrading to 32gb depending on what you are doing. On games on Fortnite I get like 250 fps, Minecraft over a 1000+, GTA 5 200 FPS high settings. Depends on the resolution but it will never lag if you have updated drivers. I love the PC but I feel like they could have picked better Ram

I dont know what others say anout thr quality etc… i build computers but I seriously couldn’t beat the price for this build with the 6800xt. Of course the system doesn’t come with a good mouse or keyboard but if you’re a gamer you’ll understand why… at the end you’ll end up upgrading your accessories no matter what they give you. The system performs much better than a 3070TI, I have played Doom, Call of Duty MWII, Farming Simulator 22, Fortnite, GTA V, Witcher III, and many others. Overall, I get 110-144 fps at 1440p and i get capped at 144fps because of my monitor but I know it can go a but better than that. All of those games were played at ultra settings. So i totally recommend you this PC if you want to play at 1440p between 100-160fps at max settings. Enjoy it, because i am. Never owed a pre-built and much less an Alienware and cannot say i regret it because i don’t.

I've had zero issues with this desktop. I mainly bought it to do some work but also play the call of duty games. It's quiet and fast. I'm not into building computers so I'm not sure if the internals are good, but all I care about is if it works well, and it does. No complaints!
