Easy to setup, super fast bootup, games play extremely good. First game i fired up was starfield. 4k at 60 frames is a game changer. Thought it looked and played great on series X til i played it on my R16 alienware. 4060ti series graphics card doesnt play around either. Its amazing. Super quiet to. Easily customizable. Stays cool. Needless to say ill never purchase a home console again. Pc gaming going forward. Must buy and easily the best and secure prebuilt Gaming PC i have ever had.

    A Well Packaged Powerhouse

The Aurora R16 desktop is a fantastic machine! In the box, you’ll find the desktop itself (packaged securely with foam padding and plastic wrap), a power cord, offboard antenna, a simple Dell keyboard and wired mouse, some Alienware stickers, and a product manual. If you’re using this computer for its intended purpose (gaming), my first suggestion is to set the included keyboard and mouse aside. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice that they’re included, especially if this is your first gaming rig. However, they are not high quality. Get yourself a mechanical keyboard and dedicated gaming mouse. There are many great options out there that don’t have to break the bank. The tower is a nice size and fits well even on a desk with limited real estate. I love the side window that allows you to see some of the internals. The Alienware logo over the CPU is a nice touch. The RGB lighting on the power button, side of the tower, and rear fan is customizable. Externally, there are 12 total USB ports that are a mix of USB-C, USB-A 3.2, and USB-A 2.0. The offboard WiFi and Bluetooth antenna is easy to attach and can be mounted via a slot on the back if you’d like. Internally, well, you know the specs if you’re interested in purchasing this desktop. A couple of standout features for me include the pre-installed Western Digital 1TB PCIe SSD with an open PCIe slot to upgrade/swap storage if desired, liquid cooling, DDR5 RAM, and of course the NVIDEA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti GPU. This combo blows my previous three year old, more expensive desktop out of the water. Even with poorly optimized FPS games, I can crank all settings to high or ultra and this thing barely breaks a sweat! For anyone considering Alienware, or any other prebuilt PC for that matter, the final thing I’ll leave you to contemplate is the warranty. When you build your own PC, each component may have an individual warranty, but that can be a pain to navigate if something stops working. With this prebuilt, the entire rig is covered under the 1 year parts and labor warranty. I like knowing that Alienware (Dell) will help me out in the first year if anything goes awry. Just food for thought. This is a great desktop for new and experienced gamers alike.

Alienware products are very well known and respected, and their newest desktop PC named the Aurora R16 delivers. Overall this machine is a pretty powerful gaming machine. I was very impressed and it performed better than I expected. Inside of this gaming desktop PC you will find: 16GB’s of DDR5 RAM, plenty to run today’s games at high settings. Generally the more RAM you have the faster games load, and just overall make everything run smoother. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is a pretty powerful graphics card, capable of playing pretty much any AAA title at high settings, and at least 60fps. Intel 13th Generation i7 Processor, is a very capable processor, can play any AAA game, and or run a bunch of programs in the background. Like I said, a very capable processor. 1TB SDD it’s plenty of memory to download lots of games and programs, and even though you might run out of storage years down the line, upgrading or adding more memory is generally inexpensive. Also, included is a Dell, mouse and keyboard. On their own, they work perfectly fine, but expect to upgrade these sooner rather than later, especially for hard-core gaming. In conclusion, I am very impressed with Alienware’s latest gaming desktop PC, not only is it a very capable gaming machine, it also looks a lot better in person than it does in pictures, the all black color looks good and the Alienware logo gives it a nice touch.

    Great gaming computer

Alienware has always been one of those computers I've always wanted. So, when I finally got this, I was super excited. Once I got it setup, I was not left disappointed. They equipped this computer with a AIO (all-in-one) water cooler for the CPU. The radiator is mounted at the top of the case with two fans for exhausting air. There is also an exhaust fan at the back with RGB LEDs, and an intake fan at the front, which directs air towards the GPU. The alien power button also has an RGB LED, and there is the accent RGB LED on the side of the case that outlines the space left for the air intake on the front. You can put your hand here and easily feel the breeze of the air silently flowing into the case. The LEDs are all configurable in the Alienware management software pre-installed. You can configure them independently, or have them all in sync. You can set up different scenes, and have them change depending on what game you're running. Annoyingly though, the software did not detect any games installed from GamePass or Steam. The software also allows you to configure between "Silent", "Balanced" and "Performance" power modes, but none of them seemed to have any appreciable effect on the performance in any benchmarks or games. Speaking of performance and games... just go ahead and crank those settings up to max. This monster can tear apart just about anything you throw at it. If you want numbers to look at, I got a score of around 13900 in the 3d Mark TimeSpy benchmark. I bet with some tuning you could get it even higher, because temps were always very reasonable, thanks to the excellent cooling Alienware equipped this machine with. I was able to set Forza Horizon 5 to Ultimate, and get over 100fps, though the game did warn me I was low on VRAM. I didn't encounter any issues despite that. I also played FlightSim on Max settings and it ran flawlessly.

Love this PC! Very well balanced and beautifully minimalistic. Alienware's control center makes every aspect customizable, and it works well with other alienware products, like my 510k keyboard. Paired with a 165hz 1440p monitor, I haven't experienced any lag on any of my games or tasks. I stream to my gf on discord, play music, and a video game all simultaneously and it works great!

This is the quietest gaming pc i've ever seen. It's amazing. Performance is also amazing. However in sleep mode it does make a slight clicking sound. But when shut down it doesn't make that sound. Only down side is it's huge!

Bought this on sale for $1199. Have used it for bg3 and Diablo iv so far. Performs really well. Using it with 1440p monitor at 144 hz and it can run games on max settings without any issues. Runs very quiet and cool. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a solid gaming pc at a good price point.

I upgraded from an Aurora R6 and this system is fast. I was playing Diablo 4 on the older computer thinking that the game was a little slow. Now, it's an awesome gaming experience with this new computer. This computer is also very quiet and doesn't heat up the whole room like my sons R11 does. I caught this on sale before Thanksgiving and don't regret my purchase at all

I purchased this computer for my son as I did not know much about it. He did his research and he loves it. It’s what he expected, graphics and speed are great. He does a lot of gaming and plays call of duty and he says the lagging he had before is gone. So far no complaints would recommend!

Balanced Review: Alienware - Aurora R16 Desktop

I recently purchased the Alienware - Aurora R16 Desktop from Best Buy and wanted to share my experience. This machine packs a punch with its 13th Gen Intel Core i7, 16GB Memory, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060Ti, and a spacious 1TB SSD, all encased in a stylish Basalt Black exterior. On the upside, for general computing and average gaming, it performs admirably. The specs are solid for a range of applications, and the design is sleek and modern. However, when I pushed it to its limits with 4K gaming at ultra settings, especially for graphically intense games like 'The Last of Us Remastered' and 'Alan Wake 2', it didn't quite meet my expectations. While it handled most tasks well, it struggled with these high-demand games at the highest settings. Moreover, I encountered some blue screens without any clear reasons, which was disappointing. Ultimately, I decided to return the computer. It's a great fit for someone with moderate gaming or general computing needs, but if you're aiming for top-notch 4K gaming performance, this might not be the ideal choice.

For just starting out with PC gaming.. I love this desktop! I have had it for almost a year and I've had no issues with it. It's pretty easy to clean, and not very difficult to set up. It's runs super smooth and I haven't had any crashes with it either. The custom RGB lights are also a plus. I highly recommend it for anyone who's starting out.

I’ve had this product for a few months now. It replaced an older Alienware that I had. I found this one to be great looking both in how it reproduces games at 1080p and pushing it a little harder into 2K 4K graphics. If you’re into playing mostly strategy games like me and city building games this should work perfectly fine. again you can get a little overwhelmed when you’re trying to play in higher resolutions but at full HD it is a beast. I love how the chassis looks and it blends in really well into aesthetics of my gaming set up.

The Alienware Aurora R16 is a solid choice. Setting it up was straightforward, and I appreciate the option to upgrade components. With the Intel Core i7 and RTX 4060Ti, it handles tasks effortlessly. The Basalt Black design is sleek without being over the top. It's a reliable investment for a high-performance desktop.

Had aurora r12 & upgrade to R16. Fans are not as loud as the r12. Really like the case it looks really cool and plus more airflow. The only down side is that it only has 2 ram slots but no big deal. Also runs games more better. I think this pc is at a good price
