Very cool colors, nice build, interchangeable parts, best performance. I bought for $1150 for some crazy performance Best Buy had probably wouldn’t buy at full price.

Excellent pre-built value (when on sale)

Let me start by saying I purchased this prebuilt at $1149 when it was on sale. For $1149 in today's crypto market is an excellent deal. Pros: - Surprisingly small unit. Smaller than most mid-tower ATX cases. - Not cringy-looking like some over-the-top "gamer" computers. Has subtle RGB lights on the side of the case that you can control. - Once the optane memory has had time to cache frequently used files it boots quickly and feels snappy. I would still prefer a large SSD but it's a good compromise for now. - The GTX 1070 overclocks well and has adequate cooling to keep the overclocked card below 75 C. - Plenty of USB ports! OMG just read the spec sheet there are like a dozen of them. - Included AC wireless card works very well. My laptop with AC wireless adapter would see frequent lag spikes and throttled download speeds but this one in the Alienware allows for full download speed (230 Mb/s for me) over wireless in another room from the router and I haven't seen any lag spikes in games yet. Saves me the trouble of having to run ethernet to the computer which is not convenient for me. - Includes an AIO liquid cooler for the 8700. It's not overclockable so I'm not sure why they did that but I suppose it helps on noise while keeping the CPU cool. And please don't upgrade to 8700K. There is no need. The 8700 is overkill for gaming anyway. - Included decent wired keyboard and mouse. Cons: - Some bloatware like pre-installed games and some alienware software but nothing a quick uninstall can't fix. - HDD performs well but it is still a HDD so some hiccups every now and then opening new apps. - The included power supply is just enough to power this system so don't expect to be able to throw another card in for SLI without replacing power supply. The cons are nothing to deduct any stars since I expected all of those things before the purchase.

    Nice High End Computer

I bought this computer because I needed something fast to process my work. It was the top end computer in the store, so I expected a lot. Windows on all computers seems to be excruciatingly slow and unstable, but on this computer the wait times seemed less. Additionally, it comes with nice monitoring features, so that I can watch the processing speeds to see if it has stopped or is still working through the file. The computer has some really nice touches, such as easy to reach USB ports and a good variety of ports on the back. Overall a good computer.

Alienware is still one of the best premium pre-built gaming PC’s. This model is extremely fast and able to play all current games at 1440p or 4K! Boot time is very fast and runs quiet during gaming. It has a water cooled cpu cooler along with front and top cooling fans. Side panel is easy to open and parts are easy to remove/upgrade. I was lucky to purchase as open box in store, saved a lot money and so far no issues. My only regret is I wished I would have bought one sooner! And this is coming from someone who has built many computers.

Great gaming PC for Oculus Rift and now with Oculus Quest 2 with a PC Link it works great. I won't go into details on the pc specs as so many have reviewed it but will confirm that I've been gaming with all options turned on high. Great setup for Oculus Rift and new games with Quest 2. Just confirming that there are 2 usb-c ports and the one on top us the SS spec (USB 3.1 gen 1) and paired w the Oculus Link cable work perfect.

This PC is great for someone just getting into PC gaming! I have had it over 2 years and still works great. Unfortunately, it is not customizable and upgradable! I can easily max out the CPU and GPU with certain games. Although it sits in a relatively small and compact case, even when the CPU and GPU are maxed out, I have not had any issues with overheating. It does not have an SSD and I had to get an external one to use!

Open Box Purchase. Excellent for the $$$

Found this one on the open box shelf. I was looking for a gaming machine that didn't cost a year's worth of car payments. For the money it performs exceedingly well. The games I play aren't the most demanding out there but it is apparent that they do not seem to tax this hardware much at all. If you can find one of these on sale and it meets your needs, great. If you just need to do word processing, email, spreadsheets, and the internet, you probably only need one half this price or less.

    Alienware Aurora R7 AWAUR7-7999SLV-PUS

The first thing I noticed about the Aurora R7 desktop is the weight. Out of the box it felt like a good 30 pounds which tells me that it is built solid. The second thing you need in a gaming rig is access to the PC components and R7 delivers with easy to pop open side panels giving you easy and roomy access to the internal components making your life a lot easier when performing upgrades down the line. The R7 is a beauty to look at with the alien accents providing a unique look. The side panel led lines look great as well. For me the R7 runs very quiet even when playing intensive games and I did not have any issues with noise. The core i7-8700 processor runs quiet and the benchmark tests were pretty impressive with a range of high scores. The liquid cooling works really well and is an added bonus. This comes with a 16GB Memory and can be easily upgraded to 64GB. The 16GB Optane accelerated 1TB HDD is an excellent way to keep drive costs lower by speeding up the backplane while using standard cheaper drive. As always an upgrade to ssd would make this machine even better. The R7 does come is an m2 slot to easily connect a m2 ssd. The GPU included id the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 8GB and the price of this is probably 1/3rd of the desktop which makes it an excellent choice. There are ample usb 3 and usb 2 ports and a usb type-c port. It does include 1 1G LAN port as well as wireless-ac card and 4.1 bluetooth. HDMI allows easy connection to a monitor. Included in the box are Alienware keyboard and mouse which work as expected and complement the desktop. However if you are gaming a wireless keyboard and mouse are essential. This is one of the best desktops that I have come across and would be my definite choice if I did not have the time to put one together. An excellent gaming rig no doubt.

    Overpriced Sub par Junk!

The computer is Junk. It's loaded with bloatware and Alienware command center is so buggy and full of glitches I've had to reinstall it at least 8 times. Dell support is below par they do not even know about the tech their selling. The hardware is sub par,you get a basic board, basic ram with no heatsinks and tiny water cooler. The case design collects so much dust and the power supply is only 460 watts. Honestly I wish I could get a refund for this machine and just stick to building my own which I do normally but I was in a pinch! If you do buy this uninstall all the bloatware ,don't bother calling Dell for anything they will out source your call to Costa Rica.Keep the link for the Alien Command Center handy because you will need it.Machine is worth about $830 bucks so if you can get it on sale Just walk -away!

Versatile machine for gaming and video editing

This is a decent mid-range gaming rig. It’s fast enough to run most mainstream games at decent resolutions and framerates and so far hasn’t goven me any issues with gaming. I have had a lot of issues with freezing while editing 4K video but I feel it’s likely more the fault of the video editing software rather than the PC. The LED lighting effects are cool but quickly lose their appeal after a few days. Overall, satisfied with purchase.

Very, very happy with this PC. Extremely quiet, very fast. I got rid of the Optane memory and installed an SSD and reinstalled windows on it. Like the other reviewer said, virtually no bloatware. I was planning to build a system, primarily for heavy duty graphics editing and video processing. This prebuilt hit all my goals for less. Lots of expansion potential. Love the tool-less design. Mainly like how quiet and fast it is. Zero complaints.
