Avoid this pc! The lag was horrible online even with an Ethernet connection and over 175 mbs internet speed! The graphics had to be place on medium or lower to even be close to playable! Eventually, graphic card started to make strange noises and the screen would flicker! Not to mention the pc was louder than a vacuum cleaner! Really loud! Just do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Avoid at all cost!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Silver,
Thanks for your review. We're sorry that your computer is not performing the way that you hoped it would. We'd recommend running the Windows Performance Troubleshooter to see if there are ways to improve the speed of your computer:
1. Close all open windows. 2. Press the Windows logo key + X key on the keyboard. 3. Click Control Panel. 4. Click System and Security. 5. Under Security and Maintenance, select Troubleshoot common problems. 6. Under System and Security, click Run maintenance tasks. 7. Follow the on-screen instructions and prompts to complete the process. 8. Restart the PC.
If your computer is still making loud noises we'd recommend updating the BIOS on your computer: An out-of-date BIOS can cause loud fan noises by having an outdated temperature table for the system. Refer to update BIOS and follow the instructions to update the BIOS on your computer. You can also follow up with our Technical Support Team here - 1-800-624-9896.

The fan is indeed louder than a vacuum! I called Alienware service and was told I had to wait until January (two months) when the new BIOS would be ready. I don’t know if this is typical for Dell, but it makes me unlikely to buy Dell again.
