Love the 3440x1440 resolution @ 120hz. Great for gaming, and pretty much just overall. Tiny amount of backlight bleed on the bottom left, but that’s common on backlit panels. The amount of bleed seems to depend on what angle I’m viewing the monitor from, though. Doesn’t effect gameplay as it’s drowned out by other colors.

Great Ultrawide monitor 120 hz gsync

My favorite monitor. I had the Asus pg348q and Acer x34 and both were only 100 hz and less curve. Alienware has 120 hz and more curve easier to see the sides. Stand is very nice also. I cant go back to regular 16 x 9 now. Consoles are garbage now to me also lol. I got open box at best buy came with box and all accessories works great $780 price. 18 months no interest

Great monitor, minimal bleeding. Much better than ACER and ASUS equivalents (Predator an ROG). This monitor is 100hz native, OC to 120hz and not a 60 OC'd to 100 like the others. People complain about flickering at 120hz, my guess is that they do not have their video card set to 120hz or are not using G-SYNC, I have never had one flicker. Contrast and colors are awesome, IPS viewing angles are great, overall this is an awesome gaming monitor. You do need to calibrate your colors for gaming which often wash out grays for normal PC usage, you can make the profiles as a hotkey to easily switch between them. The ambient lighting is OK if you are into that type of thing, just make sure you have USB cable plugged in if you want to control the colors with the software.

Pretty fantastic monitor. At 120hz oc and 100hz native it currently makes it the highest hz out of any ultrawide monitor out right now.Not to mention 1440 with dells 3 year warranty. Id say buy it if your looking into a ultrawide monitor at this moment in time.

Best IPS UW(3440x1440p) G-Sync Monitor on market

Hands down the best IPS 3k ultrawide gsync gaming monitor out there right now. Been through quite a few to find the right one. Went thtough 1080, 4k, 2k, finally hit the sweet spot with this for best overall everything really.
The Asus pg348q and the Acer x34p are nice but they suffer from horrible issues, mainly severe IPS glow/BLB. This bad boy, Dell's Alienware AW3418DW has far better QC(Quality Control) than the rest of it's competition, not to mention probably the best warranty around. Dell has supremely stepped up there game with their hardware. I can't even begin to tell you the headaches I went through with panels after I decided to get higher refresh rates with max settings to go a different resolution after I jumped the gun from 1080p to 4k. Don't get me wrong, 4k@60fps is nice but you can't really achieve stable 60fps at max settings with a lot of titles unless you dumped realistically somewhere $1200-$2000 on a GPU(s) alone since launch of last model GPUs to new ones that just came out.
Now I have a EVGA GTX 1080 FTW. Bought it when it was inexpensive/great price. Even came with a 850w 80+ Gold Modular PSU for $500 a while back. I'm getting stable 100fps on max settings on all games I play. It is so gorgeous, I cannot play without G-Sync and high frame rates anymore. You can OC this display to 120hz if you'd like.
I would say the only Negative thing is the price. The standard MRSP/Retail price is higher than it's competition but it's better quality. I would definitely recommend this display, but if possible, get it on sale because it's expensive. I bought it when it was on sale for $799. Feel free to do the research, which I encourage. I'm sure you will end with the same result as I did. GLHF

This monitor is amazing.
Be warned, not every game supports ultra wide, but you can usually find a fix online. Now for the ones they do...omg... there’s no going back to 16:9...
There really isn’t.
Also I recommend a 1080ti or above to run games with this comfortably. A gtx 1080 will cut it, but that’s about it. It’ll cut it. Don’t expect to keep high fps without tweaking a lot of settings.
Other than that, mine has some slight ips glow(bleeding) in the bottom corners, but veeeery hard to see. The features are pretty cool too, there’s even one to measure your fps in games which I thought was pretty neat if you don’t want to use your gpus overhead.

I see a lot of people looking at the Acer and Asus widescreens for gaming, and the fact is Alienware and LG are probably the best on the market right now. I bought this Alienware 34 widescreen and was blown away at the details and how immersive my experience while gaming was. There will likely be a little IPS glow on the bottom left of the monitor, but it is not noticeable when using it during games. You will likely need an RTX 2080 to push this on high/ultra settings. I recommend this monitor or and LG ultrawide Ultragear model.

This is a great monitor for anyone capable of running 1440p 120 fps. I'm using an RTX 2060 (similar to a 1070 TI/1080) and I get around 100 FPS in most games. The ultrawide makes gaming so fun and immersive. It completely changes how I feel when gaming now. My monitor has no dead pixels and very minimal IPS glow. There will always be some IPS glow since it is an IPS monitor. Dell and Bestbuy and both great with returns if you have back light bleeding, significant IPS glow, or dead pixels.

Main use : Gaming / Video Editing.
The curved panel will not bother you, I’ve been skeptical of such a large monitor for gaming but also tired of using a dual monitor setup. Color-Great
I have a decent pc build and in 2k resolution struggle to get more than 120fps (fortnite) so don’t feel like you are missing out on FPS by reducing yourself to 1080.
This is the best all around monitor for the price. Just buy it, or ask me more questions, or google your life away.

Monitor upgrade to match my new build

Earlier this year decided up upgrade my trusty Sandy Bridge i2600K & GTX 980TI rig with a new build featuring an i8700K paired with a RTX 2080. I had planned to keep my Samsung S34E790C but really began to notice 60Hz refresh rate limitation. Clearly the i8700K and RTX 2080 could drive much higher rates and a month ago I replaced the Samsung with the AW3418DW. My first reaction to AW3418DW was "wow"! Very little tweaking required out of the box with great color. After reading a number of reviews, I've limited the overclock to 110Hz, and so far the monitor has been performing flawlessly. There is some minor black light bleed, but I really have to look for it. In case I do encounter issues over time, the Dell warranty comes with next business day Advanced Exchange. I also added the Best Buy protection plan as I expect this model will be refreshed/replaced by a new model over the course of the warranty.
One observation to share. Absolutely follow the assembly instructions. The plastic I/O shield is thin plastic and extremely difficult to snap into place once the monitor is on the stand.

This is an awesome monitor if you can power it. I use a 1080ti and it does well on triple a games on high settings. Mine came with minimal bleed . A slight color distortion upper left top near bezel but doesn’t bother me. No dead pixels and oc to 120 just fine. Much smoother than 60hz. Haven’t had any issues with mainstream game support. I’ve played with gsync on and off. I don’t notice a huge diff

This is worth every penny.
The picture on it is great. The colors and detail is just what I expected on an Samsung screen. Seems how it is an LG panel. Guess this makes since. The IPS panel definitely brings the color more to life at any angle as well as it is super bright. Had to play with the built in screen modes to find one I like best. The screen is set to 100Hz. So you have to go into the menu to overclock it to the 120Hz settings. Which than should be seen by your PC/Laptop. Once that is set up. I got a great picture testing out the screen on Division 2 Beta test. At 3440x1440.. I will never go back to an non ultra wide screen.
This monitor is plenty fast for the computers out there today. 2K Res is like the sweet spot for gaming as you can see much more details than 1080p, but also not as hard on your GPU as 4K is. This 3440x1440 setting just gives you the 21:9 aspect Ratio and you will not be disappointed..
There is no need to buy 4K screens or 240Hz ones. The chances are your GPU will never take the full advantage the screens have to offer. This Alienware thought is a great screen and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an Ultrawide or even just looking to get a great gaming Monitor for the money.

Display is beautiful the wide screen really makes you feel immersed in whatever you are playing. Unfortunately there's not alot of applications / Games that support widescreen gaming. Of course new Triple A title games just coming out do. But Even the PS4 PRO does not. Which is really sad. I love to switch back and forth from my pc to my ps4 and the graphics this monitor is capable of definitely makes me want to even more.. Until the sad fact that consoles in general do not support Wide screen for the most part. The graphics and overall performance of this wide screen is far to none. Although my biggest gripe is HOW MUCH SPACE THIS AW SCREEN STAND TAKES! You better be ready to sacrifice some keyboard room! Tried mounting it Even with a mount that supports wide screens. Due to this specific wide screen being so heavy with or without the stand you will have to get a mount capable of holding this monster weighted monitor. So keep that in mind if you have limited space!

Holy crap this monitor is awesome!! For the longest time I wasn't sure if I should've jumped to 4K gaming since I would read that ultrawide gaming was better, I can safely and assuredly say that is the case with this monitor. It is a spectacle to behold, buttery smooth, great build quality, accurate colors, etc.

Been looking to buy a gaming monitor to replace the 49 inch i have hooked up to my 1080ti and it did serve me well but my issue was always tearing latency and ghosting in which I couldn't take anymore so I started shopping around. Looking around the internet for reviews about monitors this particular one kept coming up as the best of the best for ultrawide Gsync with IPS display and good build quality so I went ahead after 2 months of searching and pulled the trigger and man I glad that I did. Coming from 49 inch 16:9 it was a big change this is my third day with it and I'm hooked. Been playing Anthem and Destiny 2 along with League of legends, I'm totally blown away, the price is high but it is worth your hard earned money. I will never go back to 16:9 and having a high-end video card, Gsync + 21:9 is a MUST. Bestbuy priced match this unit and this is why I always buy from here, Great customer service.

After 2 years I still enjoy this monitor. This is my first curve monitor at 34in. At first I felt overwhelmed with the field of view of this monitor but after a few days I got use to it. Playing games in this 21:9 aspect ratio is so immersive I love. I
The only downside to this monitor is how bulky/ how much room it takes up on my desk. I'm not talking about the length of the monitor but the width. Because of the monitor stand it takes up a lot of room on a desk. I have an ikea desk (47 1/4x27 1/2 ) and the monitor with the stand takes up about half of the desk space. But for my set up. It's not much of a problem. It may be for other with a smaller desk than me.
This monitor is a little pricey but I ended up recommending it to a friend. After he saw it in person he ended up buying one for himself lol

Did a lot of research. Monitors like TVs almost last 8-10 years. This monitor is quality built. High 120hz refresh rate. A little bit expensive but won't regret getting this as long as your pocket can afford it.
