Laptop looks and feels great. Love the rgb customizing. Battery drains fast though with all the power required to run this thing. Sucks that ram was soldered though, but 16gb is cool.

I stopped in and scooped this laptop up with an additional Samsung 500GB NVMe M.2 drive. The additional drive install was easy and I have used it for video production along with other software for my job (AV Tech) without any issues. Along with playing a good amount of Modern Warfare on my down time when I'm on the go.

It is a fairly nice laptop just dont know if it worth the retail price! I got it open box and it worked great. But was also discounted ended up trading it for a deaktop after a couple months. I do prefer my asus rog strix scar 15 though.

First the heating left visible browning on the surface of the laptop; they came out and installed new panels. A week later. The laptop would be plugged in and laptop won’t charge. Now completely dead. $2500 for a brick. They refuse to replace the unit while it’s under warranty!?
After jumping through hoops, they finally scheduled repairs. On day of repair they called to cancel?? It's been a month now that I have had a dead product...this after only 5 months! Stay away.. buy a Razer.

I love this machine. It's my first gaming laptop but it performs very well with newer, demanding games. It's also easy to upgrade the memory with an extra SSD card. My only complaint is the short battery life and the volume of the cooling fans...but I have a feeling that's an issue with all high performing gaming laptop.

Freedom,
Thanks for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your computer is overheating on you and that you're experiencing fan noise issues. We'd recommend updating the BIOS on your computer to see if it helps with the fan noise:
An out-of-date BIOS can cause loud fan noises by having an outdated temperature table for the system. Refer to update BIOS and follow the instructions to update the BIOS on your computer. You can also follow up with our Technical Support Team here - 1-800-624-9896.
The Alienware Control Center should allow you to be able to select thermal profiles if you think that your computer is getting too hot for you. Please feel free to adjust the settings to the thermal profile that meets your needs.

Display and gaming quality was great. Handled current 2020 games smoothly.
You will need separate memory storage if your gaming library is vast.

Terrible experience when I got the laptop the box was destroyed the laptop had black marks on it and it white so that showed up. Has I was downloading a game it crashed on me with a video error code after getting back into Windows it then crashed again and it gave me a critical error code I had to reinstall Windows. After that I was able to install a game after trying to play the game kept crashing time after time I finally gave up and took it back and got a knew razor pro I’m sure a new one would be fine but it got real hot if you do get a NEW one undervolt the cpu to -140 that’s the sweet spot. Very disappointed.

It runs anything I can throw at it! Only complaint is that it comes with 256g of memory... kinda lame having to open up your new computer just to be able to run anything.... it comes with 256g but only has like 100 available.

This is a good computer. However, this was a replacement of an existing computer on warranty and was over a month to get a decision on the replacement and was a lot longer than expected.

I purchased the razer m15 with a 2060 and it throttled during gaming. This beast can hold its own at max settings. It’s also quieter. The fans on the razer are a lot louder when running at full speed. The only Con is the screen. Their is some light bleeding on the edges. All monitors have this problem but some more than others.

I got this on sale for 1650, and it is easily the best performing laptops at that price. I expanded the SSD which is really its only shortcoming. The 144 Hz screen is AMAZING and truly enhances the gaming experience. I have run some pretty hefty games and programs and haven't had much issue with overheating after undervolting the CPU. It's portable (kinda) if you're alright with carrying a medium-large bag. The aesthetics are also a nice perk, and the RGB leaves little to be desired.

Have owned it for more than a year now. Great for daily use! Gets a little hot but a laptop fan cooler works. Still snappy and can handle anything thrown at it. Everything from 4K movies to training heavy deep neural networks. The only drawback is that the RAM is not upgradable but I haven’t felt the need ever to do it. So it has worked like a charm for me!

I’ve used it to play music with my Serato Pro program and it works excellent. It also plays my Blu-ray movies very well. Tried to play one of my high end games and it wouldn’t play it! Froze up and had to shutdown. Haven’t tried it again. And it is fast.

I needed a computer and I like games, was using a old Inspiron w a i5. I’m no wizz, but I expected this to run a little better. There’s no space for games, needed to buy a external, the game I play is LoL and that has been beautiful to look at but it’s been crashing. The WiFi card is what I’m most impressed with. I get great connection, better than anything else in the house from further away even. The crashing problem only seems to be with League of legends, which should be a easy game to run. Tuesday the external gets here and I’ll be able to rest other games before I try to return or upgrade this.
