If this is your kind of movie, than you will enjoy this one! The effects are great, and the story is pleasant enough. I usually buy the 3D movies and hang on to my 3D TV. Hopefully it will be back...

I am so glad that the movie is in both 4k and 3D. It's hard to find anything in 3D anymore, so it is a blessing to find this new movie with such great 3D. There are so many new movies with great special effects, and I have always wished that they were in 3D to really enjoy those special effects. This movie takes care of that. Great job. Then, if we do not want to watch it in 3D (you know, with the glasses on), we can watch it in 4K. How great is that? Not to mention, it is one of the best 3D movies (picture quality wise), that I have ever seen. Thanks for making such a great product.

In a world of remakes and endless comic book regurgitations, Alita is a breath of fresh air. It’s nice to know that there are still decision makers willing to take a chance on something that isn’t established. This movie is a blast from start to finish and worth every second of your time. I won’t even mention anything from it because I think it’s best enjoyed without any setup. The steel book is definitely a bonus and, as is intended, gives it a collectible feel. I don’t know why, but I’m a sucker for steel books. It’s very well done and looks great. The movie looks amazing in 4K UHD and I suggest turning that surround sound system as high as it’ll go. I’ve always been a fan of disc based movie watching as I know I’m getting high quality all the time without having to depend on a steady and stable internet connection. 10/10. Must buy.

Purchased as this movie the 4k also came with the 3D version. This was to test the 3D capabilities of recently purchased projector. The film and 3D not disappoint. Visually stunning film that utilized the capabilities of 3D and stark contrast. Excellent buy from Bestbuy.

As a science fiction epic with spectacular special effects worthy of 3D, ALITA is a must for passionate viewers of science fiction and those who love a tale of personal warmth, family and what it means to be a passionate fighter for achieving good over evil. Great performances and spectacle prevail throughout this epic endearing and personally challenginh 3D epic entertainment.

The product - Alita is a great showpiece if you still have a 3D TV; and the fact that Fox still included it in a Steelbook along with the 4K BD is wonderful. Don't expect any more sets like this in North America now that Disney taken over. The Movie - Alita is a good movie. It would have been even better if it had an actual ending. I know it was just supposed to be the first in a planned trilogy, but these things don't always go as planned. Hopefully Alita did well enough to convince Disney to keep it going. Or Cameron forces them to keep going if they want his Avatar movies. Either way, I hope Rodriguez gets to finish this. It was awesome to see him so something other than SpyKids movies again. Overall - Excellent purchase. Great set. Good movie

The star of this product is the visuals: this can be said of the film and of the steelbook packaging. The designer of this steelbook should get a raise. I remember thinking this was one of the most beautiful steelbook covers I’ve seen, and apparently I wasn’t the only one. By the end of 7/23 (it’s release date), the steelbook was sold out. When I went to the store to grab my copy fifteen minutes after the store opened, I grabbed one of three remaining copies. It’s the real deal. The film is awesome; a great ride that had me tense from the action and fully invested in its characters. It’s no Avatar, but you can see James Cameron’s involvement in the film. The film and steelbook feel like passion projects, and both deserve a big fat A.

From the motion capture characters to the intricate world-building, Alita: Battle Angel is an often stunning film. Sure the script has some simplicities and basic contrivances, but the rest of the story is engaging with terrific performances from Rosa Salazar, Christoph Waltz, and Ed Skrein. 26th Century Fox unleashes a truly splendid 4K UHD Blu-ray + 3D Blu-ray + Blu-ray package. If you love 4K UHD, this is an essential disc in the collection. If you're still rocking your 3D rig, you're going to want this set just for that disc alone. If you can run both, you get the best of both worlds complete with exceptional audio mixes as well as a host of bonus features that are well worth digging through all in one set!

I seriously enjoyed this movie, I thougnt it was really cool! Definitely recommend if you like androids and such. :)

Battle Angel Alita (or Gunnm, the original Japanese title) has been a beloved manga for decades and with good reason; with the consistently beautiful art, cyberpunk trappings and wildly-creative world-building, it's impossible not to get lost in its genius. With Alita: Battle Angel, bringing the intricate and exhaustively fleshed-out universe of Alita to the big screen is a colossal task, to say the least, but the legendary James Cameron and crew have done it with aplomb. All the iconic characters and imagery are sublimely realized with the titular character shining above all, as she should. CG has come light years since Cameron's groundbreaking Terminator 2, and the practical world and digitized assets are seamless. Obviously, condensing the tomes of tankubon (graphic novels) of Alita into one film is not possible, but the creators do a masterful job of summarizing the most impactful story threads while still giving the film its own feel. Without risking spoilers, suffice it to say, there is plenty of room here for many sequels to do justice to the distinctive experience that is Alita, should commercial and critical success deem it so. An easy buy for any fan of the genre or even just fans of smart spectacle and violent action.

So my movie year officially comes to an end tomorrow. My last film of the year may also have been one of my favorites! I was excited for this for quite a while, I was cautiously optimistic though. Normally a big budget film like this is a total hit or miss. There was something special for me here. I loved the over the top CGI that made you feel like toy were really experiencing. I really am sad that the future for this film is so grim. First there's the issue that the box office isn't blowing anyone away. What could be an even bigger issue is that with Disney's purchase of 20th Century Fox, the franchise likely will rest here. This will be one of those films I buy on release day! No likes

Great movie! I was expecting more from the 4K Ultra transfer, but it wasn't noticeably better than a good Blu-ray release. Still if you don't have it and like cyberpunk-esque filcks buy it!

Alita has it all, a great story, an excellent cast and a landmark process for creating a character. Rosa Salazar played the role of Alitia using the typical motion capture suit and equipment. Instead of overlaying her with CG rendering, Alita was completely created using CG with Salazar's voice, movements and mannerisms adopted into her. Cristoph Waltz, Jennifer Connelly and Mahershala Ali, all Oscar winners lend more than able support. The action is fast and furious and the CG work, especially in the Motor Ball sequences is excellent. The 4K/UHD picture and the Atmos soundtrack are first rate. I've watched this movie a number of times already and it does not get old. Highly recommended.

Alita is a wonderful story that takes you into a world where cybernetic individuals (people with robotic replacement parts) are normal. The story makes you fall in love with the wonder that Alita has for the world around her. She is by far the best character in the story, though most of the characters are enjoyable. The good people are actually good and the story's villains are despicable. I would have appreciated if the friendship/love interest boy character was more deeply developed. This was a clear attempt to create a multi-film series which causes the story to have an open ended conclusion. Nevertheless I have enjoyed watching this film repeatedly since it came out.

How do know a good movie? Watch it a second time and see if it has the same punch. This one does. It is a mix of live action with real sets. The animation of Alita will have you convinced she is real and that is a testament of the actor Rosa Salazar and the animators. By now you should know the plot, Alita's discarded body was found and put into a cyborg body initially made for his daughter, Alita, who couldn't walk. Unfortunately she was killed, the doc saved the mechanical body, eventually giving it to the girl he found in the trash. Now, buy the movie and marvel at what follows. It's one of those movies you will watch over and over again just because it is that good.

Good to see Best Buy bringing back 3D movies. This is a good one too, lots of action and the 3D is mind blowing. I purchased an LG 4KL OLED HDR TV a few years ago, an OLED55C6P. It came with 3D glasses so I tried it out and was blown away at how much better 4K OLED TV's were at doing 3D. I remember the first 3D TVs that came out were kind of a gimmick, hurt my eyes and you had to charge the glasses. If you have or can find a modern 4K HDR TV that uses passive 3D then this movie is a must have. So many TVs no longer have the 3D feature, too bad because they finally got it right. Still a good movie even if you only have a 4K TV, you should still buy it.

This movie was made to be watched in 3D. My father in-law has one of them fancy 4K TVs while I still love my 65” 1080P 240Mhz 3D. I don’t see much difference between his and mine in an action scene but maybe when there is a still shot his might edge mine out. I just wish they made more 3D movies. Either way this movie was good, action scenes are great and a pretty cool story. Slow mo action scenes were awesome in 3D. I’m not a comic book geek so I don’t know if there was a comic series but I hope they make a follow up.

I bought this before having ever seen it because of the positive word of mouth I was hearing online and I was not dissappointed. Yes some of the acting performances of the smaller characters weren't great but Christophe Waltz was excellent as usual, and Rosa Salazar was absolutely sublime in the lead role. Seriously, it cannot be understated how great she was in the lead role. Now add some really cool action set pieces, and an amazingly beautiful sci-fi setting that looks amazing in both 3D and 4K, and it becomes a no brainer recommendation from me. If you have any interest at all, do yourself a favor and check it out. you won't be disappointed.

I remember seeing the trailer for this film when it was originally released and thought it looke stupid but then I saw it on TV and loved it and wanted to add it to my film library. The blu ray has good picture and sound and it was well worth the purchase price. I’m very happy with my purchase.
