I had Best Buy install an amp and a Kicker Subwoofer for me, which I had bought from them. However, the original 10" sub didn't quite do it for me. So I exchanged it for this Alpine 12" and believe me, it's got all the "ooomph" I could want in a subwoofer for my car, and then some. I'm perfectly happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anybody, along with the service I received at Best Buy for when they did the installation AND the exchange.

They sound great! I listen to everything but someone screaming at me.. Opera to rap then jazz to country and I feel it nails it all without an adjustment needed! Box size is key, I built mine but haven't got a completed pic taken but I'll insert on of the "process"

This gps is very detailed. I don't like navigating much at night especially when areas aren't well lit. This gps is very detailed and even in minimum lighting you wouldn't miss an exit because it's very detailed and reminds you a lot. The images are exactly how the highway has them. I've always preferred Garmin over tomtom

Just right for an older music lover and personal in car enjoyment with good bass that hits, if you're not trying to rattle the neighborhood.

I got this the first day it came out. It didn't have any reviews but it was the only powerful enough subwoofer at Best Buy. 500W RMS is a great deal of power for a single 12". The rest of the subwoofers were 400w RMS. I got the ported box and the alpine amplifier with this and I installed it over night. Setup was really easy, sound was superb, and the deep bass is hit very well. It's not even broken in yet, so it hasn't reached its full potential either. Get a ported box for this sub and use 4 gauge power wire minimum. My amplifier: Alpine MRP-M500

Great Sub! Paired with MRP-500 amp. Just enough to make the car sound great. Maybe won't hear coming from 5 blocks away but that's ok. 0.91sq/ft sealed box, with ///Alpine grade grill cover. Box and sub are tight, clean bass. Install was legit by Justin in Chesterfield, MO. RUX knob is a must, Google it! Charger Scat Pack with 6 speaker ///Alpine system plus this set up is amazing. Much better than the Beats for true sound quality. Love it! Go get you one!

Started off with 2 at 2ohms at 500 watts. RMS is 500 watts but they don't like it. Have had to return and get new ones. Buy the extra warranty if you are going to run them at 500 watts, you will need it!. Now I'm at 4 subs running around 3.5 ohms at 300 watts each. More bass and no problems. Happy now! When your wipers dance you know your there. Don't recommend running them at 500 watts if you plan to play them alot. They will heat up and blow.

This is an exceptional subwoofer. Great sound and not overly priced, absolutely love it and it hasn’t failed me yet even in the cold weather.

great sound and perfect bass. Not an overpowering effect but just enough to fully enjoy your music. Make sure to break it in before you turn up all the way.

Great subs for the price. Got my pair as an open box deal in store and saved 40$ each. They were in perfect shape, no smell or scratchy voice coils so I went ahead and got them. Also bought the Pioneer 1600 watt amplifier (also sold at Best buy) to go with them and they POUND. The pioneer 1600 watt mono amp was a perfect match for these as it can handle 8-1 ohm loads (I have my subs bridged at 1 ohm so they are getting the full amount of power that the amp hands out) I've had this system for over three months now and I am super happy with it. These subs can definitely take a lot of juice thanks to the kevlar and superior construction. I will say if you do pair 2 of these 12s w/ a 1600 watt amp you will need to invest in a better charging system. E.g. upgraded alternator and battery as I am getting dimming lights when the bass hits. But that also goes to show just how hard these subs can hit =)

This sub is excellent its 500rms which means it will pound harder than most sets of 2 other subs at best buy hook it up to a 1200 watt amp with 500 rms like the sony explode amp stay away from monos get a capacitor and a battery to feed it power Im about to hook another one up to another amp and watch peoples ears bleed lol

This subwoofer produces a lot of bass. It works best when you give it a lot of power. I'm pumping 600 watts through it and it can handle much more. Very clean sound and very tight for a 12" sub.

I had been looking for a quality subwoofer for a decent price when I received an email from Best Buy about their summer Black Friday sale. Between the enclosure and this sub I paid $105. Looking back my only regret is not buying a pair. This thing is unmatched for the money even at full price. At 600 rms I bought a mono amp for it and even the most brutal dubstep bass is this things bread and butter. I couldn't be happier.

Where to Start, I replaced my 12 inch Kicker for this when I saw the deal of the day add. Formerly a kicker fan I swapped out for this 12 inch alpine and cannot believe the difference in quality. I paid half the price for this Alpine at $60 and got 10x improvement. I have a single sub yet it performs like two with no sighs of struggling. Certainly a great sub even at $100 it is worth the value.
